PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING

Abstract

The purposes of research were to improve critical thinking skill and study result by implementation of discovery learning. Type of research method was classroom action research implemented in two cycles that consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected by non test and test technique. The instrument of data collection used observation sheet and instrument test. The techniques of analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result of research showed that the implementation of discovery learning could improve student’s critical thinking skill and study result of Mathematics.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan model discovery learning. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik non tes dan tes. Alat pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan dan hasil belajar siswa Matematika.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, hasil belajar, discovery learning.
