Abstract

Extraction of compounds in a variety of materials, especially materials crops today are often found as a source of natural medicine. Soxhlet is one tool that is used as a medium of extraction of these compounds. Temperature and pressure as well as the long extraction affects the quality of compound extraction obtained. Control of temperature, pressure and time ekstraski kabanyakan still use manual so that there is an error caused by the user or device measuring. In this paper will be discussed extractor soxhlet integrated with the control system temperature, pressure and restrictions on timing extraction using a microcontroller ATMega 16 so that the extraction process can be run automatically. Control system temperature and pressure using a thermocouple type K which has a limit of measurement 0 - 12000C and pressure sensors MPX5700 which has a limit of measurement of the pressure of 0-700 Kpa. All output of this sensor will be read by the ADC microcontroller ATMega 16 is already integrated with internal ADC with a resolution of 10 Bit. Restrictions on the timing ekstraski done by using timer microcontroller

Abstract

Bomb is an object with high destructive power. Today the bomb threat in Indonesia are common. Research earlier bomb squad robot has a weakness in the design of wireless communication and video viewer. This study tries to design a prototype robot bomb disposal by using IP cameras and wireless communication using a WIZnet based microcontroller interface ATMega8535. Video is displayed with MJPEG viewer designed using Visual Basic. The movement of the robot is set using the buttons on the monitoring software that is integrated with MJPEG viewer. From the test results obtained prototype robot can move in accordance with the existing arrangements on the monitoring system by using MJPEG as robot navigation. Robots also managed to pick up objects using a gripper simulated bomb and put it into a simulated bombing. In this study used camera is a camera that is found on android phone because of limited funds. The future can use the integrated camera with IP addressing

Abstract

Digitally height and weight of human body measuring instrument based sound module arduino is a modern measuring instrument that serves to measure the height and weight of the human body and provides information on BMI (body mass index) and weight of the human body. This tool is designed using ultrasonic sensors SRF-04 as a measurement of height and Load Cell as a measurement of weight and has an LCD display and output ofthe sound module. This tool has a maximum height limit measure measuring 200 cm and maximum weight limit of200 Kg. The working principle ofthis tool is arduino read wheter object is to use the tool if yes then the sensor will transmit data to the mierocontroller and the data will be displayed through the LCD and will be read out via the sound module. The information to be read is the weight, height, BMI, BMI status, ideal weight. From the results of testing this tool has a fault or error in the measurement of the weight of 0,43%. And measurement error or error in height measurement of 0, 72%.

Abstract

Trains are a means of transportation of interest to the public in Indonesia. In addition to fast, the cost and convenience of service on the train became one of the reasons for the selection of this transportation. Accidents at railway crossings are common in Indonesia. One reason is the absence of a doorstop in the railway crossing. In this research, we try to develop the closing and opening tool of train railway crossing automatically. This device is equipped with vibration sensor and infrared sensor to detect train arrival. The sensor readout signal will be processed by arduino UNO and sent to the control center using wireless nRF24l01 + PA + LNA module. The signal will be received by the control module using the same receiver module and will be processed by arduino mega 2560 to open and close the railway crossing door equipped with LED indicator. Based on the test results, the nRF24l01 + PA + LNA transceiver module can work at a distance of 940 meters with an average data transmission delay of 1.2952 seconds.

Abstract

Double Metal Arc Welding Gas Electrodes (DE-GMAW) is a new welding process that separates the melting current into a base metal current and a controlled current by adding a TIG torch to a conventional GMAW system to form an alternative path that will flow through the current. This makes it possible to reduce the current passing through the base metal, so that the heat input in the base metal can be controlled at the desired level. Research has been done to know the parameters for the welding process run stable between welding wire and torch TIG as current cutter. Parameters that affect the stability of the control system are Bypass Electrodes, Tungsten Distance to Welding Electrodes, Tungsten Distance to Workpieces, Torch GMAW Tube Distance to Workpieces, Angles between Tungsten and Welding Wires. To control the base metal current at the desired level, a group of power resistors is added in the control system. In this study, the welding is done using 18 V voltage by using several variations of the number of resistors. From the research shows that the control system developed can adjust the current cut in a large range to maintain the base metal current at the desired level. The welding results using the DE-GMAW control system show the physical properties of the weld result better when compared with welding without using current control system.

Abstract

Electrical needs in industry as well as in households is one of the main needs as a source of energy for electrical devices. Currently the development of new and renewable energy sources and research involving many found in the world, one of which is a microhydro power plant. Indonesia is a country that has a stream that can be used as a source of energy, especially as a small scale power generator or often called microhydro. In this study the authors try to make a prototype microhydro power plant by utilizing used washer motor driver as a generator. The prototype is equipped with a complement load of inductors to maintain the stability of the voltage and frequency of the generator output when there is loading. The prototype also features a voltage indicator panel, frequency, flow of water to the generator using arduino as its signal processing module. From the observation result obtained maximum output from generator is 90 Volt with frequency 123Hz with speed generator 308 RPM and water debit 127 mL / sec. The addition of complement load on the generator greatly affects the output of the generator during loading.
