Abstract

The red dragon fruit is a highly nutritious fruit   that can enrich the weakness of the nutritional value of calamansi candy.  The purpose of this study was to know the effect of the red dragon fruit with and without seeds to the properties of calamansi candy, as well as to determine the best percentage of dragon fruit addition for  consumers preferred calamansi candy.  This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Agricultural Technology and FMIPA at the Bengkulu University. Data were analyzed descritiply and presented in graphical form.  The results showed that the greater the concentration of the red dragon fruit in the process of  calamansi candy, the higher the moisture content, ash content, pH, vitamin C, and total acid.  However, the greater addition of red dragon fruit without seeds, the vitamin C content decreased.  The most preferred calamansi candy by consumers   was those either with or without seeds  of 10%  red dragon fruit addition.  The  composition of this candy was met SNI criteria with carbohydrate 7.41% and 6.59%, protein 1.79% and 1,45%, and reducing sugar 49% and 30.5% for calamansi candy without  and with seed of red dragon, respectively.

Abstract

Sea cucumber ginger coffee are coffee herbs made of sea cucumber as well as material additional ginger. Hence required planning coffee industry sea cucumber ginger on a commercial scale in the province of bengkulu and necessary a way to determine the feasibility (NPV, IRR, Net B/C Ratio, PBP, BEP and analysis sensitivity) coffee industry sea cucumber ginger .The result of this research is coffee industry sea cucumber ginger located in kabupaten rejang lebong Bengkulu, with capacity production 9.100 kg per month or 395.642 sachets per month selling price 1900 persachet and with of these capacity so obtained financial aspects coffee sea cucumber ginger namely NPV Rp 1.439.792.088 , IRR 37,888 %, Net B/C Ratio Rp 2,124, BEP 3.536.156 sachets , PBP 2 years eight months, it was stated that the coffee industry sea cucumber ginger worthy of to be developed toward an industry that commercial.Key Words : coffee, cucumber sea, ginger, industry, Finance Analisis.

Abstract

Soengkono, Kanang S. Hindarto, Slamet Widodo, Sigit Mujiharjo; The objective of the first research is to know: (1) the background of economic factors of transmigrant, (2) the natural resources potency, (3) the human resources of transmigrant potency, (4) the analysis of business environment, (5) the model micro business development, (6) the build of micro business group, (7) the formulation model based on human and natural resource potency with simple and accepted technology, (8) the practice of simple and accepted technology, (9) the practice of marketing, and (10) the training of small/micro business management. The result of the research is identified that: (1) the transmigrant society have a high motivation to stay at location study, (2) the transmigrant society wish to facilitation in economic development to income generating, (3) the transmigrant society zeal for to follow research program conducted by researcher, (4) have been build of small business group, (5) have executed of simple and accepted technology test-drive, (6) have executed of training of small business management, (7) marketing management. Abstract

In the field of both services and manufacturing industry, the quality is very important, especially in terms of quality of service. If a good quality of service, the company will be ready to face market competition/business but if the quality of customer service is less satisfactory then be prepared to face setbacks. One method that can be used to evaluate the quality of service is a method servqual and imfortance performance analisys (IPA). Both methods are used to see how far the quality of performance / service provided when viewed from the expectations or interests of customers / consumers. Anonimus is where researchers conduct studies using both methods. The result showed that some of the dimensions that must be improved, namely: good field conditions (artificial turf, goal, balls, nets), organized the tournament, Anonimus Parties must be able to be responsive in dealing with problems that arise and Security Assurance Goods customers in the locker Room. Abstract

This study aims to explain the effect of inlet position of a Slow Sand Filter (SSF) Pipe on the amount of pollutant particles caught along the flow path in the SSF Pipe. The main equipment used is nine pieces of SSF Pipe, each has 4 inches in diameter and 50 cm in length with Pantai Panjang Bengkulu’ssand as the filter medium. The inlet positions tested were 90°, 45° and 0°; repeated three times and arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD). The observed variable is the weight of the captured pollutant in the SSF at the distance of 10cm, 20cm, 30cm, and 40cm from the inlet. Results of the research showed that the number of pollutant particles caught along the flow path in the SSF decreased following a linear model as the distance from the inlet was increased. The number of pollutant particles caught also decreased with the decrease of inlet position slope. The inlet position significantly affected the number of pollutant particles caught along the flow path; the position of 90° causes the highest amount of pollutants to be caught and significantly differs from that of the position of 45° and 0°. The position of 0° causes the least amount of pollutants to be captured that considered to be the best inlet position so far. It is important; however, to research whether inlet position of more than 180° could result in a much smaller amount of pollutant caught along the flow in the  SSF Pipe.Keywords: SSFPipe, inlet position, particle caught in SSF, peat water filtration

Abstract

In arid environment, limitations of crop productivity could be improved by soil management practices like soil conservation measures, tillage and reducing slopes through terracing on different cropping patterns. These patterns include area as Wheat-Maize (WMCP) and Wheat-Fodder (WFCP) in Kahuta (high rainfall climatic area), Wheat-Millet-Fallow (WMFCP) and Wheat- Millet-Lentil (WMLCP) in Khairimurat (medium rainfall climatic area) and Wheat-Fallow (WFCP) and Fallow-Groundnut (FGCP) in Pindi Gheb (low rainfall climatic area). In areas that have more crop water requirements the yield of these crops has been affected when the drought prevails. Our results evidenced that more average soil water content (ASWC) was available in high to medium height terraces in WMCP and low to medium in WFCP of Kahuta area. ASWC remained more in high to medium height terraces under all cropping pattern of Khairimurat during September. ASWC remained more in low to medium height terraces under all cropping pattern of Pindi Gheb during September and December. Equidistantly, soil water release curve also indicated that medium rainfall sites had more plant water availability as compared to high and low rainfall sites. Yield relationship to plant water availability revealed significance for intrusion of modified cropping patterns rather than existing cropping patterns on sustained basis. Finally, our study suggests that cropping patterns of high and low rainfall areas should adjusted by growing low water requirement crops in summer seasons to cope the drought period for the sustainability of agriculture under rainfed climatic conditions. Abstract

Purpose of this research was to explain the effect of alkali type and duration of nibs submersion on the quality of chocolate powder.Type of alkalis being tested were Na2CO3(type1)andCa(OH)2 (type2) and the durations were 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. Reasearch was done following RCB design with the type of alkali as the block. The nibs was fermented during 6 days, and dried with temperature 115 °C for 6 hours, and applying the Dutch Processmethod topowder the chololate.  Result of the research showed that the treatments were not significantly influence the water content; significantly influence the microba, verysignificantly influence thepH and softness of the powder. Abstract

Purpose of this research was to identify environmental factors in terms of strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat influencing dry fish processing industry position, and formulating strategic to improve competitiveness the dry fish processing industry in Bengkulu City.  Method applied was descriptive analysis using SWOT matric, EFE matric, IFE matric.  Research location was in Bengkulu City which was selected on purpose. Respondents were academic (1 person), bureaucrat (1 person), practical person (2 person). Result of the research showed that the internal factor consisted 12 strength strategic factors and 15 weakness strategic factor.  The external strategic factor was composed by 13 opportunity strategic factors and 6 threat strategic factors. Strategic factor being capable to improve competitiveness were 1) product diversityin term of labeland market segment, 2) quality product improvement that capable to specify, and 3) improve sale service.

Abstract

Bunda Bakery is currently produce 19 various bread products weekly with using certain amout of various materials, and utilizing machine and labours.  However,  the optimal product and potencial profit of the bread production had not been determined. The Objective of the studywere  toevaluate and optimize the bread production and its potencial profit.   Simplex method,one of the techniques used in linear programming,was utilized  to find the optimal valuethat involves many variables in the study. Previous record of each kind bread products were  used to optimize  various bread had to be produced and the potential profit to be gained    Machine and labor utilization were further employed to use up the weekly raw material  for optimizing the total bread product can be produced and the potential profits to be gained.  The results indicate that before optimization, available raw matrials can beused to produce 676 unit products  with potencial profit of 1,663,914 IDR in one week production.Optimization of raw materials could produce 697 unit products with potencial profit of 1,943,489 IDR in the same period of production.  In addition, further optimization of production resources (material,  labor and machine utilization) to used up the whole weekly materials, with additional selected materials, Bunda bakery could produce 1050 unit products with potencial profit of 2,286,049 IDR in one week production.

Abstract

Pipe slow sand filter (SSF-P) is an undertest slow sand filter (SSF) technology promising some advanatages.  Purpose of this research is to test the performance of SSF-P with differencce level of hydraulic heads on reducing pollutants of crumrubber plant liquid waste. The SSF-P tested was a 5-inches-diameter, 50cm-long SSF-P and hydraulic heads applied were 10 cm, 20 cm and 30 cm.  Result of test showed  that SPL-P installed with all hydraulic heads tested were capable of reducing significant amount of pollutants, and with 10 cm head capable of producing filtrate with TSS, pH and NH3-N satisfying grade 1 (drinking) water.
