Abstract

The research objective is to determine the integration between waiting times for dwelling time and loading unloading container of container terminals at Tanjung Priok Port. The research method used in this study was qualitative descriptive. The five container terminals studied at Tanjung Priok port are the Jakarta International Container Terminal, Koja, NIPCT1 container terminal, Mustika Alam Lestari and Terminal 1 New Port Container. The research problem is whether the reduction in Dwelling Time will be able to increase loading unloading Container capacity at container terminals at Tanjung Priok Portor not. The result shows that there is a positive integration of Dwelling Time specifically for loading and unloading imported containers in Tanjung Priok Port and is categorized as very high, with an average duration of seven years was 5.5 days. The results of this study are expected to be able to recommend how the decline in Dwelling Time could increase loading and unloading container capacity of container terminals at Tanjung Priok Port.

In analyzing the problems in handling Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) especially for export documents, the author uses a tree analysis consisting of problem tree, target tree, and alternative tree. The first analysis is done in the process of handling export documents. After that, analysis on the root of problem in handling export documents by using questionnaires—it successfully identifies four problems: lack of human resources, poor communication among the employees in handling export documents, computer network system which is in problem, and slow response from the customer to confirm the export documents. Subsequently, analysis on the solutions or alternative actions for such problems in handling export documents. Key words: Standard Operating Procedure, Export Documents, Tree Analysis.

Abstract

A safe, convenient, and comfortable pedestrian network in the Kebon Nanas area is an important component that should be provided to improve the effectiveness of citizen mobility. Currently the availability of pedestrian network has not been able to meet the needs of the community both in terms of quantity and standard provision. The purpose of this research is to identify the need for revitalization of pavement in the area around IPN, Kebon Nanas East Jakarta. The approach method used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis through direct measurement method in the field by Traffic Counting (TC) for vehicles and pedestrians, through which the study is reviewed based on development criteria. Sampling was conducted on eight points. The conclusions of this study are (1) the traffic volume in the vicinity of the IPN road is high enough for a community road class, while the pavement capacity is not standardized, thus affecting the safety and safety of pedestrians; (2) Based on field measurements, the number of pedestrians is very minimal,  2 persons/ minute/ meter, but it is necessary to revitalize to obtain adequate capacity according to the volume of pedestrians by considering safety and security; (3) Planning of pedestrian facility requirement in IPN and surrounding roads includes green lines, lighting, seating, safety fences, garbage cans, markers, shophouses and traffic signs.
