Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk menentukan aktifitas antioksidan ekstra herba kemangi (Ocimum Sanctum L.), ekstrak herba kemangi dipersiapkan dalam 3 bentuk ekstrak yaitu ekstrak n-heksa, diklorometan dan etanol, aktifitas antioksidan ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode Feri Tiosianat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa herba kemangi mempunyai sifat antioksidan, aktifitas yang paling kuat dihasilkan oleh ekstrak n-heksan, ekstrak etanol kurang kuat dibandingkan ekstrak n-heksan, namun lebih kuat dibanding Butilhidroksianisol (BHA), sedang ekstrak diklorometana kurang kuat.

Abstract

In this research for the determination of dead timeused a method that is mathematically calculated as iteration and linearization of the polar capillarry column  in  Gas  Chromatography  (GC)  type  DN-Wax,  by  injecting  the  homologous series  of  n-alkanes  (n-pentane  up  to  n-decane)  on  GC  system.  The  dead  time values  obtained  are  then  used  to  determine  the  Kovats  Retention  Index (Retention  Index,  RI).  The  results indicated that the  retention index  had  values of  systematic  error  those  are  more  accurate  than  the  retention  time  (tR), corrected retention time (tR) and retention factor(k), but the retention index shows  the  value  of  random  error  slightly  larger  than  with  other  retention parameters. In this study  the average values obtained by the iteration method, the  dead  time  was  3.52  minutes  with  a  correlation  coefficient  of  0.9998.Retention  index  values  obtained  are  at  the  confidence  level  92.11%-97.06% with the systematic errors 2.04%-7.89%, while the linearization method showed the average value of the dead time 3.3 minutes witha correlation coefficient of 0.9992,  but  the  value  of  retention  index  values  obtained  show  that  the systematic error is very large.Key words:Dead time, Retention Index, Homologous Series, GC

Abstract

It has been isolated identified anti bacterium of antibiotic compunds produced by streptomyces sp. The isolation of sterptomyces sp was done from three kinds of soil on Soak area Km . 6, Palembang Municipallity using Plating Technic Spread Method produced 4 streptomyces isolate,. The test of the blocked capacity againts the whole isolates (4 isolates) with the bactery terstor showed that TL.J2 isolate from corn plant land has biggest activities. The isolates of antibiotics produced using fermentation method for TL.J2 isolates by using solvent extraction method and continued with HPLC produced 4 pure compunds. The test of the blocked capacity againts the 4 pure compunds, just STP1 which still antibacteria activities. Furthermore, the identification of STP1 using IR Spectrophotometer and UV showed that the results can be clasified into Alifaitic antibiotic consisting of unsaturated ketod alifatic function with the primer amine and hydroxy as a substiutent.

Abstract

Abstrak. Ekstrak etil asetat daun alpukat telah diujikan terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dengan konsentrasi, 15; 20; 25; 30; dan 35%,. Kontrol positif dan negatif masing-masing menggunakan streptomisin dan pelarut etil asetat. Pembuatan ekstrak etil asetat daun alpukat dilakukan dengan metode maserasi. Pengujian zona hambat dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi agar. Ekatrak etil asetat daun alpukat memiliki kemampuan menghambat pertumbuhan S. aureus. Diameter zona hambat yang dihasilkan oleh masing-masing ekstrak etil asetat daun alpukat (15; 20; 25; 30; dan 35%,) sebesar 7,18; 8,11; 9,15; 11,25 dan 12,45 mm. Kata kunci: Daun alpukat, etil asetat, Staphylococcus aureus, zona hambatAbstract. Ethyl acetate extract of avocado leaf has been tested against Staphylococcus aureus with concentrations 15; 20; 25; 30; and 35%. The positive and negative control used streptomycin and ethyl acetates. Ethyl acetate extract of avocado was producing used maceration method. The zones of growth inhibition was done using agar diffusion method. Ethyl acetate extract of avocado leaf have exhibited considerable inhibitory effects agains S. aureus. Zones of growth inhibition with concentration 15; 20; 25; 30 and 35% were 17,8; 8,11; 9,15; 11,25 and 12,45 mm respectively.Key words: Avocado leaf, ethyl acetate, Staphylococcus aureus, inhibition zone

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap kandungan kimia fraksi kloroform ekstrak pekat etanol batang tumbuhan Mengkelik (Gynotroches axilaris, BL), ternyata dari sejumlah 223 gram serbuk halus batang tumbuhan Mengkelik kering dihasilkan 24 gram ekstrak pekat kloroform. Kristal yang dihasilkan (4,3002 g) direkristalisasi diperoleh kristal jarum yang berwarna (0,1629 g), tl 193-194° C. Uji Fitokimia tak memberikan kandungan senyawa metabolik sekunder yang ada. Spektrum UV dengan pelarut MeOH memberikan 2 puncak, yaitu pada 204,6 nm dan 284 nm. Spektrum IR memberikan puncak-puncak 3282,6 (v-OH,m), 3000-2850 (v-CH,I), puncak sekitar 1463,9 (v-CH2,m), 1386,7-1359,7 (Gem di Me).
