Abstract

The pressure of population growth and the economy has an impact on changes in land use in Sub-watershed Sumpur Singkarak West Sumatra, Indonesia. Changes in land use are analyzed spatially and temporally using satellite imagery Landsat TM 7 and 8 (resolution 30 m) that has been in the interpretation of 2004 to 2014. The analysis is done by comparing the changes in land use in the area of forest, farming and settlement. From the analysis it can be concluded that there has been a decline in forest area of 128 ha (1.6%), an increase in mixed-farming area of 146 ha (16.1%), an increase in settlement area of 143 ha (26%) for 11 years in Sub-watershed. In 2011, a change of 3125 ha of rice-paddy which have been changed become dry land an area of 2645 ha. This is due to the farming community, prefer to plant horticulture and crop plant from the rice plant.In the protected forest area has been used for settlement area of 1.37 ha and for dry land area of 11.41 ha. In the tourist nature reserve forest areas have been used for rice paddy area of 0:33 ha and for dry land area of 42.91 ha.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi kesesuaian lahan untuk pengembangan kakao rakyat yang berbasiskan konservasi tanah. Metode penelitian adalah metode suvai.  Contoh tanah diambil secara purposive random sampling di masing-masing satuan lahan. Contoh tanah utuh untuk analisis sifat fisika tanah. Sedangkan contoh tanah terganggu untuk analisis sifat kimia tanah.  Disamping itu, data iklim diambil dari kantor cabang dinas pertanian Pasaman. Data dari hasil survai tanah dan iklim disusun dengan sedemikian rupa kemudian di cocokan (matching) dengan kebutuhan dari syarat tumbuh dari tanaman kakao. Hasil dari mencocokan atara data lahan dengan syarat tumbuh dari tanaman kakao didapatkan tingkat kesesuaian lahan. Kelas kesesuaian lahan aktual  dilokasi penelitian nagari Sundatar Lubuk Sikaping Pasaman ini adalah termasuk kesesuaian marginal (S3) karena faktor pembatas curah hujan yang tinggi yakni 3251 mm/tahun dan kestersedian hara yang rendah. Disamping itu sebagai masukan perlu dilakukan penambahan bahan organik dan pupuk buatan. Pada lahan yang landai sampai agak curam penerapan kaedah konservasi dengan penanaman multistrata sangat perlu untuk mencegah erosi. Kesesuaian lahan potensialnya adalah S3. Abstract

Aprisal. et al. Dynamics of Some Physical Properties of Soils Under Conservation Farming System on the Critical Land Aripan in the DTA Singkarak. JLSO 5(2):137-144.The conservation farming on critical land can improve the soil properties and maintantain for a periode of time. The purpose of this research is to study the dynamics of critical land’s physical characteristics under the influence of conservation farming at Singkarak Water Catchment Area (DTA) in Nagari Aripan. The analysis of soil sample is conducted in Soil Science Department Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University. This research is designed with Split Plot Design (RPT). The main plot is a soil processing system which is: conventional soil processing (po), soil processing with mulch (p1), soil processing with compost and manure (p2) and minimum soil processing (p3), while the sub plot consists of three types of plants, they are; sweet corn (t1), soy bean (t2) and peanut (p3). Each treatment is repeated three times. Result of the research is observation data in each season of the first, second and third year. To see the dynamics of soil characteristics, data of each season is viewed through graphic which based on its trend. The result of the research indicates that utilization of critical land with conservation farming system could repair and maintain some physical characteristics of soil in each growing season, such as: decreasing volume, increasing soil organic matter, porosity, and soil permeability. Productivity of soil increases on the conventional processing with mulch, compost, and manure. Conventional soil processing with added compost and manure increases productivity for 32.58% in the first year, 45.16% in the second year, and 59.73% in the third year.

Abstract

[English]: This article aims to elucidate the effectiveness of Missouri mathematics project-problem solving learning (MMP-PS) toward mathematical reasoning ability and self-efficacy. We conducted quasi-experiment research which involves 132 lower secondary school students (age 14-15 years old) as the population. Of the population, 25 students respectively in two classes were selected randomly as experiment class and control class. The experiment class was taught using MMP-PS, and a control class was taught using MMP (Missouri mathematics project learning). Data were analyzed using one sample t-test to examine the effectiveness of MMP-PS and MMP toward mathematics reasoning ability and self-efficacy. The difference of students’ mathematical reasoning and self-efficacy before and after the treatment was analyzed using Manova. The comparison of the effectiveness of MMP-PS and MMP were analyzed through a t-Benferroni test.   This article shows that MMP-PS is effective on mathematical reasoning ability and self-efficacy. Meanwhile, MMP is effective on mathematical reasoning ability. The MMP-PS was better than MMP on students’ self-efficacy. Thus, MMP-PS could be utilized in mathematics learning to support students’ mathematical reasoning ability and self-efficacy. Keywords: Missouri mathematics project, Problem solving, Mathematical reasoning, self-efficacy [Bahasa]: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran missouri mathematics project dengan pendekatan problem solving (MMP-PS) terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematika dan self-efficacy. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan 132 siswa SMP (kisaran umur 14-15 tahun) sebagai populasi. Dipilih secara acak dua kelas yang terdiri dari masing-masing 25 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran Missouri mathematics project dengan pendekatan problem solving dan kelas kontrol diajar dengan pembelajaran missouri mathematics project (MMP). Data penelitian dianalisis melalui uji satu sampel untuk mengukur keefektifan MMP-PS dan MMP terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematika dan self-efficacy. Perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematika dan self-efficacy siswa sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran dianalisis menggunakan uji Manova. Perbandingan keunggulan antara MMP-PS dan MMP menggunakan uji t-Benferroni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MMP-PS efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran matematika dan self-efficacy. Sementara itu, pembelajaran MMP efektif ditinjau kemampuan penalaran matematika. Pembelajaran MMP-PS lebih unggul dari pembelajaran MMP ditinjau dari self-efficacy siswa. Jadi, MMP-PS bisa digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk mendukung kemampuan penalaran matematika dan self-efficacy.
