Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara maritim mempunyai hasil laut yang melimpah, ikan dari hasil laut pada umumnya di olah menjadi ikan asin maupun ikan asap. Dalam pengolahan ikan asap ini, keberadaan asap yang berlebihan di tempat pengolahan ikan menjadikan salah satu faktor resiko terhadap para pekerja untuk menderita ISPA. Pekerjaan di pengasapan ikan merupakan pekerjaan yang paling banyak terpapar oleh asap sisa pembakaran batok kelapa ataupun arang sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan penyakit ISPA di kalangan pekerja. Terlebih lagi di kawasan pesisir Jawa terdapat ribuan tempat pengasapan ikan yang cara produksinya masih menggunakan sistem tradisional, sehingga asap hasil pembakaran langsung mencemari ruangan. Dari situlah muncul inovasi “Pos Box” (Portable Smoker Box) sebagai alat untuk mengurangi resiko kejadian ISPA pada pengasapan ikan dengan arang aktif. Sehingga bukan hanya mengisolasi asap yang di akibatkan dari pengasapan tetapi juga meminimalkan pekerja berkontak langsung dengan asap karena asap di serap oleh karbon aktif dan terlebih lagi alat ini bersifat portable sehingga mudah di bawa kemana-mana. Pos Box merupakan modifikasi dari alat pengasapan ikan yang berbentuk kubus tertutup dan memiliki prinsip kerja dari asap dan kalor yang dilepaskan dari bagian pembakaran akan di alirkan ke atas, sehingga ikan akan terasapi dan asap akan keluar diserap karbon aktif  melalui cerobong sehingga racun dalam asap akan di serap oleh karbon aktif. Alat tersebut memiliki dimensi 1 x 1 x 2 m dan kapasitas produksi ikan asap ±300 potong yang terbuat dari rangka besi dan di lapisi kulit seng dan triplek sehingga alat tidak menyebabkan iklim kerja yang panas.

Abstract

Safety behaviour becomes a major factor for the achievement of zerro accident (no accident). Person’s behaviour was influenced by predisposing, enabling and reinforcing factors. Predisposing factors is an antecedent to behavioral factors that are the basis or motivation for behaviour. One of the safety behaviour is compliance, especially compliance using personal protective equipment; for example using cloth mask must be obeyed by all workers. This study aims to determine the relationship between age, length of work, knowledge and attittudes of workers with compliance in using cloth mask. The research design used cross sectional methode in which the dependent variables investigated at the same time. The poppulation was all winding machine operators in spinning unit VI at a Semarang textile industry. The sample consist of 44 respondents that taken by non random sampling methode. The Chi square test used here and the result showed that there was no correlation between age (p=0,322) ang length of work (p=0,731) with compliance using cloth masks. There were correlation between knowledge (p=0,019) and attitude (p=0,030) of workers with compliance in using cloth masks. It is suggested to hold the safety talk, training, counseling and supervision to increase the compliance in using cloth masks.

Abstract

Traffic is a major factor supporting the productivity of labor, so we must realize the potential hazards of traffic in order to prevent traffic accidents. Road traffic accidents can be controlled with the implementation of safety driving and training of safety driving. The purpose of this study were analysis of  predisposing factors, enabling factors and reinforcing factors of  bus driver behavior to apply safety driving at PO X. This study used qualitative research with an interpretive approach. The subjects of this research were main director, board manager and bus driver. Sources of primary data obtained from in-depth interviews and observation. Data analysis used descriptive content analysis. This research shows that the road traffic accidents in the PO X controlled by safety driving  training of the bus driver. Predisposing factors were knowledge, attitudes, belief of safety driving benefit and appraisal about safety driving. Enabling factors were the availability of personal protective equipment and the integrity of the machine, regulations and penalties on implementation of safety driving and additional knowledge of safety driving. Reinforcing factors of safety driving implementation were board manager and main director. Conclusion of this study is the behavior of drivers depends on themselves and superior’s behaviour.

Abstract

Compliance is following standard or law that is set up with clear, published by competent institutions in a particular field. Factors that affect compliance are demographic variables such as age, gender, ethnicity, social economic status and education, psychosocial variables such as intelligence, attitude towards health acceptance or repudiation of the rules, religious beliefs, or culture and cost. Working guideline instruction is a document contented of step by step detailed activity from one working unit or divisional function on work in technical term. The individual behavior is affected by predisposition, possibility and transducer factors. Predisposition fact is antecedent factor toward behavior and fundamental or motivation to performer. This observation is aimed to determine the relation between characteristics of individual, knowledge and working attitude with compliant tower working guideline instruction. The observation design which used in this observation is cross section whereby dependent variable is observed in same time. The population on this observation is entire winding machine operators unit spinning VI at textile manufacture of Semarang city. The sample in this observation is 44 respondents. The sample was drawn by accidental techniques. The data sources used in this observation consist of two types that were primary and secondary data. The data yielded is then analyzed by using SPSS 16 software version. The analysis conducted in this observation is using univariate and bivariate analyses by chi square testing. Based of the observation result it was determined there no meaning relationship between characteristics of individual, knowledge, and attitude with compliant towards working guideline instruction.

Abstract

Analysis of working posture with RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Analysis) methods and Musculoskeletal Disoreder of transport driver’s in Tembalang. Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) is a discomfort condition on sceletal muscle, it is caused by the working exposure, unergonomic working posture. Transport driver’s is one of the workers who are at risk due to MSD because of awkward sitting work posture. The goal of this research was to describe the work postures and MSD of transport driver’s in Tembalang. The population and sample was all of transport driver’s in Tembalang. The data of work postures obtained through observation assessed using RULA methods. The data od MSD obtained through interview based on Nordic Body Map questionnaires. The result of this research showed that the work postures of transport driver’s was at action level 2 and 3; it’s mean that the next investigation was needed. All of transport driver’s had MSD condition, especially on the left leg, right leg and waist (73,3%, 63,3% dan 60%).
