Abstract

ABSTRAKPrestasi belajar dan keaktifan mahasiswa penting untuk ditingkatkan dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran yang inovatif. Dari begitu banyak model pembelajaran inovatif, salah satu yang tepat untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar dan keaktifan mahasiswa adalah pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project based learning), karena lebih menekankan pada pendekatan kontekstual melalui kegiatan-kegiatan yang kompleks, melibatkan mahasiswa dalam melakukan investigasi pemecahan masalah dan kegiatan bermakna, memberi kesempatan bekerja secara mandiri dalam mengkontruksi pengetahuan, serta menghasikan produk nyata. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi keaktifan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di dua kelas reguler angkatan 2014 program studi pendidikan matematika STKIP Siliwangai Bandung. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 120 mahasiswa yang terbagi di kelas A1 dan A3. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive, karena penelitian ini diterapkan pada mahasiswa di kelas yang mengambil mata kuliah media pembelajaran matematika. Berdasakan analisis data, diperoleh rerata peningkatan prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen dan kontrol masing-masing sebesar 84,57 dan 72,79. Persentase keaktifan mahasiswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol masing-masng sebesar 70,93% dan 69,41%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa prestasi belajar dan keaktifan mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan project based learning lebih baik daripada yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan metode ekspositori. Kata Kunci: Prestasi Belajar, Keaktifan, dan Project Based Learning.  ABSTRACTLearning and student achievement is important for the enhanced activity of the learning process, so we need a model of innovative learning. Of so many innovative learning model, one that is appropriate to improve learning achievement and activity of students is project-based learning (project based learning), as more emphasis on contextual approach through activities that are complex, involve students in an investigation of problem solving and activities meaningful, giving the opportunity to work independently in the construct knowledge, as well as generate real products. This is a quasi-experimental study using experimental and control groups. The instrument used was a test of learning outcomes and student observation sheet liveliness. The research was conducted in two regular class 2014 of mathematics education courses STKIP Siliwangai Bandung. Subjects numbered 120 students, divided in classes A1 and A3. The sampling technique was done by purposive, because this study applied to the students in the class were taking courses in mathematics learning media. Based on data analysis, obtained a mean improvement of learning achievement of the experimental and control classes respectively by 84.57 and 72.79. Activeness percentage grade students experiment and control each masng amounted to 70.93% and 69.41%. It can be concluded that the achievement of learning and activity of students who receive study with project-based learning is better than the gain of learning with expository method. Key Words: Achievement, Activeness, and Project Based Learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan guru berorientasi pada penerapan matematika dalam kehidupan nyata adalah Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR). Di Indonesia dikenal dengan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI). PMR merupakan suatu teori dalam pendidikan matematika yang dikembangkan pertama kali di negeri Belanda oleh Hans Freudhental dengan nama Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). Teori ini didasarkan pada persepsi bahwa matematika adalah aktivitas manusia dan matematika harus dihubungkan secara nyata dalam konteks kehidupan siswa. Kegiatan pembelajaran lebih menekankan pada aktivitas siswa untuk mencari, menemukan, dan membangun pengetahuan, sehingga pembelajaran terpusat pada siswa. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran secara mendalam mengenai proses pembelajaran matematika berbasis PMRI di SD/MI Kota Bandung dengan latar alamiah atau tanpa perlakuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah participant observation dengan jenis observasi terbuka. Peneliti berperan sebagai observer langsung dan pewawancara. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode observasi kelas untuk mendapatkan gambaran proses pembelajaran matematika berbasis PMRI, yang kemudian akan dijadikan dasar sebagai pemilihan subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di tiga sekolah dasar, yaitu SDPN Sabang, SDPN Setiabudi, dan MIN Cicendo, sebagai sekolah mitra pembelajaran matematika berbasis PMRI. Subjek penelitian yang akan dipilih adalah siswa kelas III, karena peneliti ingin mengetahui secara khusus bagaimana penerapan PMRI terhadap materi matematika di kelas III SD/MI. Berdasarkan skor skala diferensial semantik yang dilakukan oleh dua observer rerata skor yang diperoleh oleh SDPN Sabang, SDPN Setiabudi, dan MIN Cicendo berturut-turut adalah 2,46, 2,04, dan 2,32. Ketiga rerata skor ini berada pada kriteria baik dengan interval (3, 2, 1, 0, -1, -2, -3) dan memenuhi karakteristik dalam pendekatan PMRI. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Matematika, Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia.  ABSTRACT One of learning approachment which can be used in Mathematics appliances in the real life is a Realistic Mathematics Approachment (PMR). In Indonesia, it is known as The Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI). The theory is based on the assumption that mathematics is about human activities and must be connected to the student’s real life. The purposes of the research are to describe about the process of Mathematics learning based PMRI in SD/MI in Bandung naturally. The research is qualitative and using the participant observation which used opened observation. The researcher is as an direct observer and interviewer. The research is used class observation methods to find some description about the process of mathematics learning based PMRI. The research is held in SDPN Sabang, SDPN Setiabudi, and MIN Cicendo as a school which has a PMRI based. The subjects of the research are the third grade, because the researcher want to know deeply about the application of PMRI in the third grade of SD/MI. according to the score of semantic differential scale by the two observer, the score mean (averages) of SDPN Sabang, SDPN Setiabudi, and MIN Cicendo are 2,46, 2,04, and 2,32. The three of the score is considered in the good criteria with the interval (3, 2, 1, 0, -1, -2, -3) and meets the characteristic in PMRI approachment. Key Words: Mathematics Learning, Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat penting dilatih dan dikembangkan pada siswa. Salah satu aspek dari berpikir kritis adalah memeriksa kecukupan data pada masalah matematika. Keyakinan diri atau self-efficacy dalam matematika juga perlu dimiliki siswa untuk memperoleh jawaban yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi kecukupan data terhadap soal sistem persamaan linear dua variabel dan self-efficacy mereka terhadap matematika. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif untuk memperoleh gambaran sebenarnya terhadap kemampuan siswa ketika menjawab soal dan self-efficacy yang dimiliki siswa setelah menjawab soal. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes, skala self-efficacy, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi kecukupan data pada soal sistem persamaan linear dua variabel masih rendah, lebih dari setengah siswa memperoleh skor dengan kriteria tidak baik. Siswa kesulitan menjawab soal karena tidak terbiasa mengerjakan soal, tidak fokus pada pertanyaan, dan kemampuan operasi pembagian yang tidak baik sehingga banyak memperoleh hasil yang tidak tepat. Siswa memiliki keyakinan diri yang baik. Sebagian besar siswa setuju terhadap semua aspek self-efficacy. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara skor tes dengan self-efficacy siswa. Hubungan yang terjadi berlawanan arah, skor tes yang rendah tidak menyebabkan keyakinan diri siswa menjadi tidak baik. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Mengidentifikasi Kecukupan Data pada Masalah Matematika, Self-Efficacy.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze students mathematical understanding ability. The research approach used is qualitative with an analytical descriptive method so that obtained the description of students mathematical understanding ability. The instrument used is the test of mathematical understanding ability, interview guidance, and questionnaire that has been done validation. The test aims to obtain a picture of student error answers based on the scores obtained. Interview guide to obtain information about students mistakes. Questionnaires to know students interest in math. The subject of the research is the students of class VIII in one junior high school in Kabupaten Bandung Barat as many as 36 people. The results showed that students made a mistake in determining the characteristics of the rectangular building. Students cannot complete the calculation of area and around the rectangle correctly. The students understanding of mathematical ability lies in the low criteria so that improvement needs to be made. Students who can solve mathematical comprehension problems enjoy math lessons.  Keywords: Mathematical Understanding Ability, Error Analysis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami kemampuan matematis siswa di salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di Cimahi. Pendekatan penelitian yang bersifat kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Instrumen adalah tes deskripsi yang menggunakan indikator kreatif dan kuesioner siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Cimahi, yang diikuti 33 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa kemampuan kreativitas matematika siswa adalah kriteria yang cukup baik. Skor rata-rata siswa pada tingkat yang cukup kreatif.Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar bahasa Inggris tidak dapat memahami grafik dengan baik, para siswa tidak dapat menentukan titik koordinat pada grafik, para siswa tidak memahami konsep dengan tepat, pengertian operasi penghitungan aljabar siswa dan juga masih lemah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum terbiasa menjawab pertanyaan yang mengandung indikator kreatif.This study aims to analyse the ability of students’ mathematical creative thinking in one of the junior highschools in Cimahi. The research approach used is qualitative with the descriptive method of analysis. Theinstrument is a description test that includes indicators of creative thinking and student questionnaires. The research was conducted on grade VIII students in one of Cimahi Junior High School, which amounted to 33 students. Based on the result of research, it is found that students’ mathematical creativity ability is to good enough criteria. The average student score is at a fairly creative level. The factors that cause learningdifficulties in solving the problem of creative thinking about straight line equation are the students cannotunderstand the graph of the problem well. The students cannot determine the coordinate point on the graph.The students do not understand the concept of the equation of the line through the gradient well. The abilityof the student’s algebraic counting operation also still weak, so the answer to be wrong. This shows thatstudents are not yet accustomed to answering questions that contain indicators of creative thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students mathematical problem-solving abilities in solving the problem of build space and knowing students opinions on mathematics. The study was conducted on grade VII students at one of SMPN in Cimahi. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive method. Instruments have been validated and consist of problem-solving test, interview guides, and questionnaires. The test that students do is given a score and an analysis of error answers. Questionnaires are used to obtain information about students opinions in solving problems. The results showed that as many as 5 students made comprehensions error, as many as 13 students made transformation error, as many as 29 students made process skill error, and as many as 33 students made encoding error, so it can be concluded that the problem-solving ability of students in one of SMPN in Cimahi is still low so it is necessary to do improvement effort. However, students have a positive opinion on mathematics with an average of 69.41%.

Abstract

Activities posing and solving a problem are important parts in mathematics, so the problem posing is an activity that was instrumental in mathematical thinking and become an important part in solving the problem. This type of research is research and development that aims to develop student worksheets through scientific approach with what if not strategy. The research method consists of stages: literature study, observation, interviews, development of student worksheets, assessment of two experts, and restricted trial to the eleventh grade students in SMAN 2 Cimahi, SMAN 3 Cimahi, and SMAN 4 Cimahi. Based on the findings, it was concluded that the student worksheets through scientific approach with what if not strategy load some activities including observing, questioning, trying, reasoning, and concluding. The activity of questioning using what if not strategy involves changing data, adding data, changing data with the same question, or changing question with the same data. The student worksheets also presented some contextual problems in accordance with the experience of students. After tested using worksheet, the improvement of student mathematical problem posing in the three schools was in moderate criteria.

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking is the ability to think that aims to solve a problem with many ideas, produce ideas that are diverse, can create new ways and have no similarities with others and are able to develop an idea. Indicators of students' mathematical creative thinking abilities used are fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. This study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking skills of vocational students in Cimahi City on the material of two-variable linear equation systems. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The instrument used is in the form of a test of creative thinking skills in the form of a description, a question given to students of class X as much as 31  students. Students in one of the Vocational Schools in Cimahi City. The results of the study show that the ability of students in creative thinking on the material system of linear variables is still low, only 39% of the students' answers reached the maximum score.
