Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menelaah kemampuan mathematical problem posing siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan strategi Formulate Share Listen Create dibandingkan dengan yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung, sedangkan sampelnya adalah SMP Negeri 41 Bandung dan dipilih dua kelas secara acak dari seluruh kelas VIII yang ada. Kemudian dari kedua kelas tersebut ditetapkan secara acak yang menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan strategi Formulate Share Listen Create, dan kelas kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan mathematical problem posing,  lembar observasi selama pembelajaran, dan angket skala sikap siswa. Pengolahan data untuk uji perbedaan dua rata-rata menggunakan uji-t’ dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mathematical problem posing siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan strategi Formulate Share Listen Create lebih baik daripada yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Kemudian sikap siswa menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap matematika, kegiatan pembelajaran dengan strategi Formulate Share Listen Create, dan terhadap soal tes kemampuan mathematical problem posing siswa.

Abstract

The focus in this study is aims to determine the effect of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) with Problem Based Learning on the ability of mathematical understanding. This study was designed qualitative descriptive method. The instrument essay is the ability of mathematical understanding about geometry. Based on the results and discussion, the effect of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) with Problem Based Learning on the ability of mathematical understanding ability of mathematical understanding is good with the average of percentage is 70%.

Abstract

The role of mathematics is very important in daily life, therefore the subjects of mathematics are taught in every level of education, from kindergarten to college. This study aims is to describe the mathematical communication ability of grade VIII students of MTs Fatahillah which amounts to 30 students in understanding triangular and rectangular materials. Another aims arevto know students learning osbtacle related to communication skills. Instruments of this study are written test. The results of this study is show that the students difficulties are they do not memorize the formula, interpreting solution mistakes because students does not pay attention to questions, and students difficult to understand about the problem that given to them.

Abstract

Students are the future generation to develop the technology. Keep in mind, that technology and information is always something to do with mathematics. Difficulties faced today about mathematics is the problem of proof, and it takes the students are led to creative ideas tailored to the definitions and theorems that have been proved. But for the student takes an overview of definitions through mathematical algorithms can be realized and understood by students. One of the subjects relating to proofs is discrete mathematics. The aim here students can understand the integer, number operations, the mathematical logic which is not memorizing but understanding math concepts meaningful based on the development of the student creative process. So that their findings can be a rewarding experience and may be able to develop more extensive utilization of evidence, therefore, researchers Open-Ended approach. To help overview of definitions is needed as delivery tools more effective mathematics which props. Props are used should be Appropriate to the use and purpose of learning, the role of ICTs is needed to convey the image that is associated with VBA for Excel mathematics is an application, the usefulness of affecting data processing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of mathematical representation of the level of basic ability of students in the rectangular material. The research method used is descriptive. The subject of the research is VII grade SMPN in Karawang. The results of the data analysis showed that the students' upper ability level with the percentage of 83%, had high visual representation ability, medium symbol representation ability, medium verbal representation ability. Students with a middle-level skill level of 72%, have medium visual representation, medium symbol representation ability, and low verbal representation ability. Students with lower base ability level with 50% percentage, medium moderate representation ability, low symbol representation ability, very low verbal representation ability.

Abstract

The Purpose of descriptive qualitative research to describe the problem-solving ability of student mathematics on the material circle for student class VIII SMP in Karawang. The subject of this study consisted of 6 selected students. Data collection techniques using the test. The result of data analysis showed the students beginning ability were included in the low category, because of only about 59% of students from 6 people who are able to solve mathematical problems in the material of the circle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of ability of mathematical understanding of junior high school students VII in Karawang on the matter of building flat. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive research. Sempel in this research is students of SMP Negeri 1 Batujaya. The data collected in the form of written test results as much as 5 items that refer to the ability of students' mathematical understanding. Most students can not understand what the problem wants. Based on the results of research students average percentage of results from the test description is only reached 58%. Judging from the test results can be said that students' mathematical understanding ability is still low.

Abstract

This research aims to examine of  mathematical critical thinking ability of mathematic and self confidence of students who get Realistic Mathematic Education approach compared to those who get ordinary learning. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in this study were junior high school students in Purwakarta, while the sample was SMP Negeri 1 Plered and selected two classes randomly from all of the existing VII class. Then from the two classes are assigned randomly into the experimental class and control class. The experimental class received learning with Realistic Mathematic Education approach and control class gained regular learning. The instrument used is the test of critical thinking ability mathematically and scale self confidence. From the calculation and hypothesis test concluded that the improvement of critical thinking ability of mathematic and self confidence of students who get Realistic Mathematic Education approach is better than those who get regular learning.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research aims to describe the students' mathematical problem-solving abilities on the rectangular material for students of grade VIII SMP. The subjects in this study were students who were selected at random. The technique of collecting data using problem test technique. The type of test in this study is a description test. Most students have not been able to answer the problem maximally. Based on the results of tests that have been done the average percentage of test results about 60% of the description is still low. Still far from the expected researcher is 75%. Data analysis is done to analyze the extent of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of mathematical understanding of class VII students on the material wake flat. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study consisted of 5 students selected at random. The data collected in the form of written test results as much as 5 points about the ability of students' mathematical understanding. The test results were analyzed according to the students' mathematical comprehension indicator. Data analysis is done to analyze the extent of students' mathematical understanding ability. Based on the result of research that students mathematical understanding ability still not enough in each indicator. From this research can be concluded that students mathematical understanding ability in VII grade in finished the matter of getting up flat is still low
