The background of this study is the school of the new students of mathematics education courses came from grade high, medium and low. Here the writer wants to see how much influence of the school level on new studentsâ critical thinking skills and creative mathematical. The purpose of this study was to examine differences in new studentsâ mathematical disposition, critical & creative thinking ability through the mathematical problem posing approach based on school level (high, medium, low). The method used in this research is the experimental method, with only posttest design. The population of this study is all the students of mathematics education department in Cimahi; while the sample is selected randomly from one college. Then from this chosen college is taken two samples from random class. The instrument of essay test is used to measure studentsâ critical and mathematical creative thinking ability; while non-test instrument is questionnaire of attitude scale. The results show that: 1) based on the school level (high, medium, and low); there is difference in studentsâ mathematical critical thinking ability through problem posing approach. 2) based on the school level (high, medium, and low); there is difference in the studentsâ mathematical critical thinking ability through problem posing approach. 3) based on the school level (high, medium, and low); there is difference in studentsâ mathematical disposition.
This study aims to determine the response of students to the implementation of learning-based project learning model to determine the student's ability to develop RPP through the application of learning-based project learning model and student response in project based learning learning between experimental class and control class. This research method is quasi experimental method with pretset-posttest control group design design. The study population is all students of STKIP Siliwangi who follow the course of High School Mathematics Learning Planning in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017 consisting of 3 classes, namely: B1, B2, and B3. For the sample of the study, two classes were selected from the study population, selected B1 class as a control class consisting of 40 students and B2 class as experimental class consisting of 43 students. The sample is selected not random class. Data analysis was done to the difference of mean of student ability test result in preparing RPP and percentage from questionnaire of student response to learning of project based learning. The results showed that most of the students gave positive responses to the application of learning-based learning model with average of pretest and posttest class percentage of experiment respectively 67,49% and 77,09% including strong category. Meanwhile, the average of pretest and posttest percentage of control class were 61.50% and 63.97%, respectively. Improvement of students ability in preparing RPP through the implementation of learning model project based learning average gain of 0.57 experimental class included in the category while the control class of 0.36 medium category; And the improvement of the students' ability in preparing the lesson plan that obtained the application of project based learning model is higher than that obtained the application of conventional learning model.
Untuk siswa yang memiliki tingkat kecerdasan tinggi, sikap dan tindakan serta cara mengajar yang dilakukan oleh guru tidak menjadi masalah. Tetapi, bagi siswa yang memiliki tingkat kecerdasan rata-rata, dan rendah pelajaran matematika akan menjemukan dan mengakibatkan tidak senang belajar matematika. komunikasi matematika sangatlah penting dan perlu mendapat perhatian. komunikasi matematik adalah kemampuan siswa dalam menjelaskan idea, situasi dan relasi matematik, secara tulisan dengan gambar, membaca presentasi matematika tertulis dan menyusun pertanyaan yang relevan menyusun argument. Salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran yaitu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran?Think-Pair- Share?(TPS). Dalam penelitian ini, instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah instrumen tes dan non tes. Populasi? dalam? penelitian? ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP di Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang salah satu karakteristiknya memiliki nilai rerata Ujian Nasional matematika 7, pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini secara acak kelas. Hasil studi ini adalah Pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model kooperatif tipe TPS lebih baik daripada siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan cara biasa,.Kata Kunci: Komunikasi, disposisi, think pair share
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hambatan mahasiswa dalam belajar mata kuliah program linear. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskritif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan matematika STKIP Siliwangi Bandung yang mengikuti mata kuliah program linear. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika STKIP Siliwangi Bandung yang mengikuti mata kuliah program linear pada semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 semester 4. Untuk memperoleh data penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes diagnostik dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian didapat kesimpulan: (i) tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa awal pembelajaran masih level rendah; (ii) kesalahan mahasiswa pada umunya belum memahami soal dan prakonsep masih rendah; (iii) mahasiswa belum tertanam rasa belajar secara mandiri. Adapun solusi untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut melalui latihan atai drill soal secara terstruktur dan memberikan soal yang beragam sebagai bahan untuk berlatih. Dosen mencoba menggunakan metode yang berbeda setiap pertemuan di kelas agar mahasiswa tidak mudah jenuh dan berlatih berpikir solusi terhadap persoalanÂ program linear.Â
This research is based on the level of mathematical reasoning ability and Self confidence which is owned by Students who are still relatively low. then the purpose of this study are: 1) to know the level of students reasoning ability seen from the achievement of minimum mastery criteria (KKM); 2) to know the students perceptions of each indicator of mathematical reasoning ability; 3) to know the level of Self confidence categories of students on each item statement. This research uses qualitative approach with explorative descriptive method. Subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS1 which amounted to 20 students in SMA Putra Juang academic year 2017/2018. The research instrument consisted of test question instrument, non test instrument in the form of questionnaire, and interview guide. From the research, it is found that the reasoning ability and self confidence of XI IPS1 SMA Putra Juang class students on the opportunity material are included in low category. This can be seen from the test results where the value of Students 75% below KKM and only 25% above KKM.Serta from the questionnaire that shows the ability of self-confidence mathematics owned 50% low students, 25% Medium, 20% High, and 5 % very high. whereas students misconception in reasoning ability occurs in many indicators of students ability to construct and test a conjecture in mathematics lessons, where only 5 students reach this indicator of ability.
Mathematical critical thinking ability is the ability of the thinking process to systematically investigate the thinking process itself, analyze arguments and bring up ideas with evidence on each meaning to develop a logical mindset that emphasizes making decisions about what to believe or do. The importance of mathematical critical thinking skills is to help students to think rationally in making decisions and conclusions to choose the best alternative and to be able to look at various problems. In addition to mathematical thinking skills, one of the affective aspects is self-confidence or self confidence. Self-confidence is self-confidence in the ability that it has so that it is sure to be able to solve a problem. This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in working on two linear variables in terms of student self-confidence and whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and mathematical critical thinking skills. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The population of this study was all Mts in the city of Cimahi while the sample was the students of class IX B MTSN Kota cimahi. The critical thinking ability test instruments given were 5 questions accompanied by interviews with each student. and the Self Confidence questionnaire consisting of 20 positive and negative statements. Then the results obtained are the level of mathematical critical thinking ability of the students of the City of Cimahi, which is low and there is no influence between Self Confidence and mathematical critical thinking skills.
Mathematical reflective thinking ability is a process of thinking someone in understanding, identifying, analyzing problems based on relevant information and determining solutions to solve these problems. The importance of reflective marriage is to help students develop high-level thinking skills through their encouragement to: 1) connect new knowledge to their previous understanding. 2) thinking in abstract and concrete terminology. 3) apply specific strategies for new tasks. 4) understand their own thinking processes and learn on their own. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The population of this study was all junior high school students in the city of Cimahi, which became the sample of this study were students of class VII-H at Cimahi Middle School 8. The instruments of reflective thinking ability were given to students as many as 5 questions for written tests accompanied by interviews with each student. Then the results obtained are the level of mathematical reflective thinking ability of junior high school students in Cimahi City based on written tests and the results of interviews with Cimahi students are still relatively low and there is no influence between student self-independence and mathematical relative thinking skills.
Thinking creative is a thinking process which to produce kinds of idea possibility and the way widely and many to completed a problem, when applied thinking creative, will produce many useful ideas to find the resolver. Creative connects with finding something, about the thing that produces something new with using something that has been there. Research methods will use is descriptive qualitative. As for the sample in this research are seventh grade with high ability, medium and low in Kabupaten Bandung Barat. For the instrument test thinking, the creative ability will deliver to students are five question and following with interview in each student. Then, the results obtained was the level of their thinking creative ability according to their writing test and results of the interview with the low-level students. Next, this research is parts of my research paper will be careful.
The purpose of this research is to develop local instruction theory on triangular and quadrilateral material and examine the improvement of mathematical representation ability by using local instruction theory. The method used in this research is design research method which includes three stages, namely: preliminary design, design experiment and retrospective analysis. The instruments in this study were in the form of tests and non-tests, where the tests used were aimed to determine the improvement of students' mathematical representation ability while non-tests such as interviews and observations were used to develop the local instruction theory. Subjects in this study were 40 junior high school students. The final result of this research is the development of local instruction theory teaching materials that can be used by the teacher to be used as a guide in teaching and the ability of students' mathematical representation in triangular and quadrilateral material is sufficiently increased
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh self regulated learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMA Desain penelitian ini adalah survey. Untuk mendapatkan data hasil penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan skala self regukated learning siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 13 Jakarta dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI sebanyak 31 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap data kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan data self-concept. Instrumen yang digunakan sebanyak 5 soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan 30 pernyataan mengenai self regulated learning. Dalam perhitungan ujicoba intrumen menggunakan program axcell 2010 dan perhitungan statistik menggunakan SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self regulated learning mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa.
