Abstract

Gangguan pendengaran yang disebabkan oleh kebisingan di lingkungan pekerjaan telah menjadi perhatian para peneliti. Pemerintah memberikan aturan secara jelas mengenai ambang batas mengenai kebisingan di lingkungan kerja dalam kaitannya dengan pencegahan penyakit akibat kerja. Makalah ini menganalisa paparan kebisingan kerja dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri kebisingan pada beberapa industri yang berbeda di Jakarta. Kuesioner digunakan untuk menggali informasi pada responden yang dianggap berpotensi terpapar oleh kebisingan di lingkungan kerjanya. Responden dipilih secara acak yaitu 400 orang pekerja pada 3 lingkungan industri yang berbeda seperti permesinan, industri daur ulang biji plastik, dan industri konveksi. Studi menunjukkan bahwa industri permesinan memiliki tingkat kebisingan yang lebih tinggi, yaitu sekitar 97 dB, sedangkan industry pengolahan biji plastik sekitar 92 dB dan industry konveksi sekitar 65 dB.  Proporsi terbesar penggunaan APD  adalah wanita yaitu sekitar 75% sementara laki-laki hanya sekitar 65%. Sedangkan berdasarkan usia, diperoleh informasi bahwa usia responden 21-35 tahun merupakan pengguna APD terbesar yaitu sekitar 67.8% dan usia di atas 46 tahun menggunakan APD sekitar 37.2%. Para stakeholder mempunyai peranan yang cukup penting dalam upaya mereduksi potensi risiko yang dapat muncul dari paparan tingkat kebisingan pada lingkungan pekerjaan serta senantiasa memperhatikan faktor-faktor kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (K3) karyawan.

Abstract

The number of samples that were not comparable with the analytical skills can cause delays in test results. Analytical Hierarchy Process applied to evaluate the analytical methods used. Alternative methods tested include titrimetric method, spectrophotometry, and total organic carbon (TOC). Respondents consisted of deputy technical manager, laboratory coordinator, and two senior analysts. Alternative results obtained are methods of TOC. Proposed improvements alternative analytical method based on the results obtained, the method of the TOC with a 10-15 minute analysis time and use of CRM to the validity of the analysis results.

Abstract

The pharmaceutical industry has the potential to produce waste water which is categorized as hazardous waste. The operational process of waste treatment has the potential to pose a risk of processing failure. The purpose of this article is to analyze the risks that occur in the pharmaceutical industry wastewater treatment process. This study uses the Analytichal Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The number of experts used was three people. The results show that there are four main factors that have the potential to produce a risk of failure of wastewater treatment processes such as man, machinery, method, and material. The method factor is the highest risk factor which is around 0.609 with a consistency ratio of 0.08. In addition, the Sub-criteria that have the potential to experience the risk of process failure are the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) which has not run optimally which is equal to 0.701. Furthermore, in assessing the level of risk obtained, the optimal SOP is run at 0.685. The implication of the application of the AHP method is that a more in-depth review is needed regarding the criteria and sub-criteria used to obtain more comprehensive results.

Abstract

The quality of water as a raw material in the process of food production has an important role. Water quality control is the key in maintaining production. This is the underlying purpose of this study to make improvements in its production activities to reduce the number of defective products in the production process. Water quality control of production is done by specifying several parameters, such as pH, turbidity, and iron. This study uses the concept of Six Sigma DMAIC.Pareto diagram shows water tends to acid, muddy, and contain much iron. Furthermore, the fishbone diagram is used to determine the percentage biggest defect. Improvement performed at the highest RPN value of around 630 in the filter. In addition, the value of sigma level before improvement around 3.3 with the possibility of defects approximately 34491 to a million process. Furthermore, the level of sigma after improvement roughly 4:09 with the possible failure of the process around 5526.

Abstract

In order to facing an increasingly competitive world of manufacturing industry, it is necessary to select appropriate suppliers to produce quality products at competitive prices. This requires producers to make efficiency. Supplier selection is one way to make efficiency by considering several factors. In this research, the ideal supplier selection is made on rubber component using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method with three criteria factors that are considered important by the company such as, production factor (48%), quality (40%), and price (12%). Furthermore, this study shows The TRHI as suppliers with the largest value of 51.6% compared to other suppliers such as IKP (24.8%) and IRC (23.6%).

Abstract

The pipeline is an immobile transport medium that functions to distribute liquids and gases. The pipeline installation project is one of the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects that has the potential for accident and occupational safety risks. The purpose of this research is to determine the priority of work accident management strategies gas pipeline by applying the AHP method. Brainstorming and pair-wise comparison approaches were conducted by experts. A total of three experts are used as key informants in assessing paired comparisons. The results show that there are four main factors that could potentially result in the risk of working accidents such as humans, machines, methods, and materials. Furthermore, based on the analysis result shows that human factor is the highest priority and environmental factor as the lowest priority. The AHP method application in this study indicates that this method can be used to determine the priority of each criterion and sub-criteria on the health and safety management strategy of the gas pipeline installation project. The implication of this in the application of AHP in other issues required more in-depth review related to the criteria and sub-criteria that are used to obtain more comprehensive results.

Abstract

PT. X organizes the office promotion every year, however it has not implemented the performance appraisal concept. This study was conducted on junior analyst at Laboratory Department of Routine Test in PT.X which has the highest number of employees in PT. X. This research aimed to find out the performance appraisal criteria and sub criteria of the junior analysts, provide the weighting for each criteria and sub criteria using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, and recommend the planning framework of performance appraisal for junior analyst using Rating-Scale method in order to conduct the office promotion. The main criteria derived from this research were attendance, working target attainment, work thoroughness, proactive, empathy, cooperation (team/organization), analytical thinking, and flexibility. The result showed the working target attainment as the most important of the criterion approximately 0.248. Moreover, the consistency ratio around 0.020. In addition, the result of this research is applicable and could be proposed for conducting performance appraisal of junior analysts at Laboratory Department of PT.X in order to perform the office promotion.

Abstract

The management of wastewater should produce the final result of its corresponding environmental quality standards. Thus, that it does not harm the environment and decreasing the quality of human health. The problem on this research was found that there are several parameters on the wastewater not comply such as pH and TSS to Indonesian Standards. This study aims to analyze the value of process capability resulting from wastewater treatment, especially parameters of pH and TSS. Several methods used in this study such as IMR control chart, capability process, and fishbone.  The results of this study show the parameters of pH and TSS from the wastewater treatment in the pharmaceutical industry obtained the average Cp index of around 0.602 and CPK approximately 0.8 for pH parameters. In addition, the quality of wastewater for TSS parameters obtained CP index roughly 0.68 and CPK approximately 0.70. Therefore, it can be concluded that the process does not have a good capability.
