Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) describe the guidance values contained on the role of Semar in shaddow puppet show, (2) describe the suitability of guidance values and the role of Semar in guiding junior high students. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. This study examined the role of Semar because Semar?s role in guiding knights in puppet was identical with guidance counselor?s role in guiding learners. The source of the data were from some informants, serat lampahan pedhalangan, and taped documents of puppet show stories. In carrying out his role of nurturing knights, Semar fulfilled the values that should be owned by the counselor in implementing guidance and counseling services. As a tutor, Semar implemented the guiding role of facilitative, constructive, and solutions. Tutor could imitate the guidance values of Semar to be applied in carrying out the role of a counselor at school.

Abstract

This study was initially conducted due to the fact that the are still many students found to have difficulties in learning, either because of their less precise learning methods or their low learning skill. This was shown in the number of students who did cheating during tests and a large number of students who learn only if there will be daily tests or exams. It is therefore, students? learning skill needs to be improved. To improve the learning skill, a guidance and counseling service which suits the characteristics and needs of adolescents is required. This research was using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results shown that p-value was 0,000 (0,00<0,05). So, can be concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. There was a significant difference on study skill improvement between the experimental group given the treatment and the control group who did not receive treatment.

Abstract

Keefektifan Refleksi dan Penstrukturan Ulang Kognitif pada Pengambilan Keputusan Karier Siswa SMAAbstract: This study aimed at examining the effectiveness of reflection and cognitive restructuring to improve high school students’ career decision making based on cognitive information processing (CIP) model. The experimental design with RCTs model was employed for this study where  40 stu-dents assigned to be the experimental group members and 40 students of others assigned to be the control group members. The developed career decision making sub-skills  were: self-knowledge, oc-cupation knowledge, communication, analysis, synthesis, valuing, execution, and executive proces-sing. The result of this study showed the reflection and cognitive restructuring were effective for im-proving the high school students’ career decision making. It was because after the treatment, there was a significant difference in students’ career decision making between those who were in the ex-perimental groups and in the control groups. The experimental group members had mean score high-er than the control group’s. The controlled trials information also supported  that reflection and cog-nitive restructuring were effective to improve the high school students’ career decision making.Key Words: career decision making, CIP model, reflection, cognitive restructuringAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan  refleksi dan penstrukturan ulang kognitif guna meningkatkan pengambilan keputusan karier siswa SMA berdasarkan model PIK. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan rancangan RCTs, dan subjek 40 orang siswa sebagai kelompok eksperi-men dan 40 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Sub-kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier model PIK yang dikembangkan meliputi: memahami diri, memahami pilihan pekerjaan, komunikasi, analisis, sinte-sis, penilaian, pelaksanaan, dan proses pelaksanaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbeda-an kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier antara siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kon-trol di mana kelompok eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi. Informasi controlled trials menguatkan juga bahwa refleksi dan penstrukturan ulang kognitif  efektif untuk  meningkatkan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier siswa SMA. Abstract

Research Objectives To measure the improvement of the ability of teachers of SD Negeri 3 Kemadohbaturin Tawangharjo District, Grobogan Regency in communicating with students after clinical supervision. Thisclassroom action research was carried out by taking place in SD Negeri 3 Kemadohbatur, Tawangharjo Subdistrict,Grobogan Regency. This school action research was carried out in the first semester of the 2016/2017 school yearprecisely on August 8, 2016 until October 31, 2016. The subject of this study was the teacher of 3 KemadohbaturPublic Elementary Schools in Tawangharjo District, Grobogan District, totaling six teachers. with students from cycleto cycle experienced an increase, from pre-cycle 33.86%, cycle I 66.08%, and cycle II 88.30%, so the increase duringthe action was 54.44%. Increases occur in all aspects. The increase in teacher capacity is due to clinical supervisionactivities that are based on objective assessments that are delivered transparently to the teacher, in addition to theimplementation of supervision with a small number of teachers tends to facilitate communication betweenresearchers, principals and teachers. The supervision enhances teacher awareness of the importance of communicatingwith students, and fosters teacher awareness that this ability is one aspect of teacher performance evaluation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a product of the direction of social interaction guidance based on interpersonal intelligence for junior high school students which had been validated according to the experts and practices. This is a research and development research which is adapted from Borg and Gall concept. The result of validation test shows the average score which is got from the experts and practices with the amount 82.1 percent. Based on the validity criteria table, the score could be included to the valid enough criteria, or could be used with small revision. It means, the product of the direction of social interaction guidance based on interpersonal intelligence is proper to be used but with small revision. The revision is done based on the proposition from the experts and the practices. According to this research, it could be concluded that the direction of social interaction guidance based on interpersonal intelligence is valid based on the experts and the practices.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine effectiveness of the implementation of the cooperation game techniques in group counseling to improve students?emotional intelegent. This research was conducted on the basis that in Junior High School in Karanganyar. ?This research was quasy-experimental design. The subjects were students who have low emotional intelligence, ie students who earn below the mean pretest scores. Analysis using t-test statistical formula. The analysis showed a p values 0.000, which means that there is a difference between the experimental group who had been given a treatment with a control group who did not receive treatments. It shows that the game under the guidance of the group effective cooperation to improve the emotional intelligence of students.

Abstract

This research aimed (1) to describe the students? need for and interest in work readiness skill development and (2) to provide prototype of work readiness service guidance for SMK students using goal setting technique for Counselor. This study employed Borg and Gall?s research and development design. This stage only reached the pre-development stage, product development. Data collection was carried out by using student need and interest questionnaire to find out the student need and interest levels. Data analysis was conducted using factorial and percentage analysis and ranking. The Test results showed that (1) there were students? need for and interest in work readiness development in students?, parent?s, and counselors? perspectives, by considering the result of theoretical and empirical study and (2) considering the result of preliminary study analysis and theoretical study, a product could be developed in the form of Work Readiness Service Guidance for SMK students using goal setting technique for counselor.Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan kebutuhan dan kepentingan siswa terhadap pengembangan keterampilan kesiapan kerja dan (2) menghasilkan prototipe satu panduan layanan kesiapan kerja siswa SMK menggunakan teknik goal setting untuk guru BK.?? Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pengembangan Borg and Gall. Tahap penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap pra pengembangan yaitu pembuatan produk. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket kebutuhan dan kepentingan siswa untuk mengetahui tingkat kebutuhan dan kepentingan siswa.? Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis faktorial dan prosentase dan perangkingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada kebutuhan dan kepentingan siswa terhadap pengembangan kesiapan kerja menurut siswa, orang tua, dan guru BK berdasarkan hasil kajian teoritik dan empirik dan (2) berdasarkan hasil analisis studi pendahuluan dan kajian teoritik dapat dikembangkan produk berupa Buku Panduan Kesiapan Kerja Siswa SMK Menggunakan Teknik Goal setting untuk Guru BK.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) participants? self-confidence who have high self-disclosure and high economic level of parents; (2) participants? self-confidence who have high self-disclosure and low economic level of the parents; (3) participants? self-confidence who have low self-disclosure and high parental economic level; (4) participants? self-confidence who both have low of self-disclosure and economic level of parents. This were descriptive correlational research. The participants were 106 students taken by random sampling technique. The conclusion of this study is general self-confidence of participants included in the high category followed by medium category both of self-disclosure and parental economic level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of self-awareness training to improve the self-adjustment of student. This study was a quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experimental Design) to design Nonequivalent control group design that consist of the experimental group and the control group. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon. The conclusion of this research was that self-awareness training was an effective way enhance the self-adjustment of student.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the effectiveness of group counseling by selftalk technique to improve the social adjustment of boarding high school students. This research was an experimental research by using pre-experimental method with the plan one group pretest posttest design. The subjects of this research were 14 students who had low score of their pretest. The data analysis in this research was using Wilcoxon test. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it could be known that there were a rise score between before and after giving the treatment. The result of the data analysis by using Wilcoxon was indicate p value=0.001 (0.001< 0.05), it means that Ha was received. Conclusion of this research was selftalk technique effective to improve the social adjustment of biarding high school students.
