Abstract

Coastal areas are particularly vulnerable to environmental degradation, in the   other hand this area is rich in fishery resources, like fish, crustaceans and molluscs. This study aims to assess aspects of biology  reproduction of fish at coastal area of Payumb, such as sex ratio, an index of gonad maturity, the maturity level of gonads, fecundity and spawning type. The study was conducted over three months start of September to November 2014 at the coast Payum. Sampling was conducted at three stations, there are Muara Kali Lepro, Awaba and Bandiamo and using drag nets and gill nets with mesh size 1, 11/2 and 2 inches as a fishing gear. The sex ratio of Mugilidae are not balance, the value of IKG and TKG are vary each month.

Abstract

The Serayu River, a major river in Central Java Province, crosses five regenciesincluding Banjarnegara Regency. Barb is one of the fish species, which found inthe Serayu River tends to decrease in population. The aim of The Study are toexamine length-weight relationship and condition factor of barb (Barbonymusballeroides Val. 1842) in Serayu River. The fish samples were taken from October2012 to March 2013. Fish samples were caught using nets, gill nets. The sampleswere analyzed to find out the length, weights and condition factor. The resultsshowed That length weights relationshipis expressed by the equation: W = 3E-05L2.81 and allometric negative, while the female fish W = 8E-06L3.05 andallometric positive. the condition factor male fish peak season in March andfemale fish in October. The need for gear restrictions and arrests during peakreproductive season in October.

Abstract

Abstrak Salah satu sumberdaya hayati perairan muara yang penting adalah jenis-jenis ikan. Muara sungai Kumbe adalah daerah estuari yang memainkan peran strategis bagi kelangsungan sumber daya ikan di Kabupaten Merauke. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman jenis ikan di Muara Sungai Kumbe Kabupaten Merauke. Pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan selama bulan Februari hingga Juli 2016 pada tiga stasiun pengamatan. Alat tangkap yang digunakan adalah jaring insang berukuran 1; 1,5; 2 inci dan pukat pantai. Sampel ikan yang diperoleh di lapangan diawetkan dengan formalin 10%. Parameter biologi yang diamati adalah kekayaan jenis, indeks keragaman (H’), indeks kemerataan (E) dan indeks dominansi (C). Hasil penelitian diperoleh kekayaan jenis berkisar 24─38 jenis; H’= 2,993,51; E= 0,97─1,22. Indeks keragaman jenis dan kemeretaan cukup tinggi dan ikan yang mendominasi setiap stasiunnya bervariasi. Ikan penghuni perairan pesisir hingga muara sungai yang bersubstrat pasir, lumpur, berbatu dan tergolong memiliki distribusi yang luas adalah Nibea saldado, Pennahia macrocephalus, Hilsa kelee dan Mugil dussumieri, sedangkan ikan penghuni muara sungai dengan substrat pasir berbatu adalah Kurtus gulliveri. Abstract One of the important aquatic biological resources at estuarine is the various kind of fish. Estuarine of Kumbe River is an area which plays a strategic role for the survival of fish resources in Merauke. The aims of this study are to determine the diversity of fish species in the estuary of Kumbe River at Merauke regency. The fish sampling was carried out during six months i.e. between February and July 2016 at three observation stations. There were two fishing gears used in this research, which were gill-nets with mesh size 1; 1.5; 2 inches and beach seine. Fish samples obtained in the field were preserved by using 10% formalin. Biological parameters measured were species richness, diversity index (H), evenness index (E) and dominance index (C). The results obtained the species richness of 24─38 species; H = 2.99 to 3.51; E= 0.97 to 1.22. The value index of species diversity and evenness were quite high, and the fish species that dominated at each station were varied. The fishes inhabitant of coastal waters up to the river mouth have substrates of sand, mud, rocky and classified as having a wide distribution were Nibea saldado, Pennahia macrocephalus, Hilsa kelee and Mugil dussumieri, while the fish mouth of the river with rocky sand substrate was Kurtus gulliveri.

Abstract

District of Merauke has a high potency to develop the tourism sectors. Development can be carried out in accordance with the potential tourism resources they had. This research was conducted during one month, in December 2015, located at Onggaya Village, Pantai Payum and Lampu Satu (Samkai Area). The objectives of this research was to identify the potential ecotourism of area at Onggaya and Samkai Area in the District of Merauke. The Survey method was used in this research, and the data were analyzed based on potential category like recreational coastal tourism and mangrove tourism. The index value of ecosystem suitability in Onggaya coastal is 78,50%, which means that area can be categorized as an area with the appropriate category of parole. Furthermore, ecotourism suitability index (IKW) in Payum and Gudang Arang is 61.50%, which means conditional appropriate. If seen from IKW results, it can be said that both of these areas have the potency to be develop. The conclusion of this research in Onggaya Village having a good potency to develop as ecotourism area, in the other side Payum (Samkai Area) dan Gudang Arang (Maro Area) both are having a good ecology potency but couldn’t be developed causing by burdened of ground proprietary rights.

Abstract

Rawa Biru located in the National Park Wasur Merauke has the potential of fish resources were quite large, both for consumption and ornamental fish. The research purpose is to identify the types of fish that have the potential as ornamental fish. The study was conducted in August 2016. The method used was survey and the data was analyzed descriptively through pictures. The results were obtained six types of fish that have the potential as ornamental fish, they are Iriatherina wirneri, Melanotaenia splendida rubrostriata, Ambassis agrammus, Craterocephalus randi, Glossamia aprion, and Toxotes chatareus.

Abstract

Fisheries production in the mainland waters of Mappi Regency is larger (27.48%) compared to marine fisheries (8.53%).  Edera District is one of the districts in Mappi District which contributes to the potential of fisheries specifically for mainland waters. This study aims to determine the diversity of fish species in the Digoel River, Edera District, Mappi Regency. The fishing gear used is gill nets, stocking nets, fixed lines, fishing rods and spoon nets (tanggo).  The study was conducted in August - October 2017 using the survey method. The variables analyzed were the species diversity index, evenness index, dominance index and relative abundance index.  The results of the study obtained 28 species of fish which were divided into 8 orders of 20 families and 28 species. The value of the diversity of fish species is moderate, the Evenness value is relatively stable and evenly distributed, the type of dominance in Di shows that there is no dominance of species and the relative abundance of Kr is medium. Abstract

Penambangan pasir di Pantai Nasai menimbulkan eksternalitas. Bentuk eksternalitas yang paling terlihat adalah kerusakan jalan raya, penurunan produktivitas produk perikanan, dan kerusakan ekosistem hutan mangrove di pesisir pantai. Biaya eksternalitas akibat penggalian pasir sebesar Rp128.109.000.000,00, sementara eksternalitas positif yang diterima masyarakat dari penjualan pasir sebesar Rp Rp25.904.201.428,00. Usulan harga pasir dengan memasukkan biaya eksternalitas dalam harga pasir sebesar Rp391.924,00/m3. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1).Menganalisis kesediaan menerima harga pasir yang terinternalisasi eksternalitas (WTA) dari konsumen pasir, agen pasir dan penjual pasir, (2).Mengestimasi besarnya kesediaan menerima harga pasir yang terinternalisasi biaya eksternalitas dan (3). Menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesediaan menerima (WTA). Metodologi yang digunakan yaitu rataan mean WTA, dan analisis regeresi linear berganda untuk menentukan faktor-faktor yang paling berpengaruh dalam pemberian nilai WTA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sebanyak 87% responden bersedia menerima harga pasir yang terinternalisasi biaya eksternalitas dan hanya 13% responden yang tidak setuju. Besarnya biaya WTA bervariasi antara Rp100.000,00 sampai dengan Rp1.300.000,00; dengan mean WTA sebesar Rp527.813,00. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap keputusan nilai WTA adalah status responden sebagai pemilik dusun pasir, konsumen pasir, supir truk dan pemilik truk. Faktor lain seperti tingkat pendidikan, jumlah anggota rumah tangga, pendapatan, lama usaha, pengetahuan menerima dampak, dan kepuasaan terhadap harga pasir tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap keputusan menerima nilai WTA.

Abstract

Damming river causes fragmentation of the river and changes in hydrologic regime, thus contributing to influence fish. We investigated barb and aimed to examine its reproductive aspects between the zone above and below the Panglima Besar Soedirman Reservoir. Samples were collected from October 2012 to March 2013. Gill nets, cast-net, and electrofishing were used to capture the fish. Samples were analysed to find out the estimate gonad maturity, gonado-somatic index, fecundity, and egg diameter. The first maturity of male gonad size (158 mm in length body) in zone above is smaller than the reservoir (158 mm) and zone below (187 mm). The female has 238 mm of the first maturity of gonad size on the reservoir site, bigger than the zone above (168 mm) and zone below (161 mm). The spawning peak of barb occurs in October based on the gonad maturity stage data and gonado-somatic index. The fecundity of the barb is 2,76025,290 eggs. The fish is total spawner. The reservoir influenced the barb reproduction. AbstrakPembangunan bendungan akan memisahkan sungai dan mengubah rejim hidrologis, yang selanjutnya akan memenga-ruhi kehidupan ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji aspek reproduksi ikan brek pada bagian atas dan bagian bawah Sungai Serayu yang dipisahkan oleh Waduk Panglima Besar Soedirman. Pengambilan ikan contoh dilakukan dari bulan Oktober 2012 hingga Maret 2013. Ikan contoh ditangkap dengan menggunakan jaring insang, jala, dan elektrofishing. Sebagai perbandingan, contoh ikan juga dikoleksi di daerah waduk. Analisis dilakukan terhadap tingkat kematangan gonad, indeks kematangan gonad, fekunditas, dan diameter telur. Ukuran pertama matang gonad ikan brek jantan pada zona bawah (153 mm) lebih kecil jika dibandingkan dengan zona waduk (158 mm) dan zona atas (187 mm). Ikan betina pada zona waduk memiliki nilai lebih besar (238 mm) jika dibandingkan dengan zona atas (168 mm) dan zona bawah waduk (161 mm). Berdasarkan nilai tingkat kematangan gonad dan indeks kematangan gonad puncak pemijahan ikan brek terjadi pada bulan Oktober. Fekunditas ikan brek berkisar 2.760-25.290 butir telur. Ikan brek memiliki tipe pemi-jahan serempak. Pembangunan waduk berpengaruh terhadap reproduksi ikan brek.

Abstract

Coastal Community Development International Fund for Agricultural Development (CCD-IFAD) or called the Coastal Community Development Project (PMP) is a collaboration of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) with CCDP – IFAD. CCDP - IFAD position in Merauke regency greatly helps the economic income of coastal communities. This study aims to determine the types of fish caught and landed by the CCDP-IFAD group in Payum. The method used is survey. The results obtained 13 types of landed fish including: Lates calcaliver, Johnius macropterus, Pennahia macrocephalus, Eleutheronema tetradactylum, Thryssa spp., Lebtobrama mulleri, Cynoglossus heterolepis, Plototus canus, Rhinoprenes pentanemus, Mugil cephalus, Arius spp., Triusurus savala, Dasyatis spp .
