This study aims to determine the factors that cause rampan caries in students TK Pertiwi Jembungan I Boyolali District. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive with case study research method. The data were collected by examination of caries trajectory, saliva pH and PHP-M index, and questionnaires for time and questionnaire variables based on Bloom's approach theory covering environmental factors, behavior, health service and heredity. Priority problem using odd ratio data analysis test result obtained that the most dominant cause factor is practice (OR value = 16,25), attitude (OR value = 15,00) and knowledge (OR value = 9,3).The results showed that salivary pH value of all respondents was acid (pH <7.0) and 57% of respondents had bad category plaque index value. Time factor showed 57% of respondents were bad category. 48% of respondents who have knowledge of bad category. 61% of respondents already have a good attitude. 100% of respondents did not brush their teeth before bedtime. 83% of respondents have a habit of brushing their teeth only when bathing. TITLEThe relationship of DMF-t index to learning achievement in SDN Pagejugan 01 and SDN 03 Brebes of Brebes DistrictABSTRACTDMF-T score is the grade which is obtained from dental decay, missing and fiiled that caused by dental caries. 89% Indonesian children at the age under 12 years, have dental caries. This condition will effect their health, growth and learning achievement. The aim of the research is to know the relation DMF-T grade to learning achievement between SDN Pagejugan 01 Brebes and SDN 03 Brebes. The type of the research is descriptive quantitative where sample is taken by Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. There are 209 samples; 119 samples in SDN 03 Brebes and 90 samples in SDN Pagejugan 01 Brebes. The data is taken by observing and examining. The independent variable is DMF-T score and dependent variable is learning achievement. The result of the research is the average DMF-T grade of SDN 03 Brebes is 0,7 which has the lowest criteria and SDN Pagejugan 01 Brebes is 1,4 which has low criteria. The average of learning achievement SDN 03 Brebes is 76,78 which has good criteria and SDN Pagejugan 01 Brebes is 68,46 which has good enough criteria. It means that SDN 03 Brebes tends toward there is relation DMF-T grade to learning achievement and SDN Pagejugan 01 Brebes tends there is no relation to learning achievement. The researcher suggestion is the student should take care of their teeth and mouth by brushing their teeth regularly, teacher and parents should control children’s teeth regularly and they also should introduce how to take care of teeth and mouth. For research, it should be done by using serious caries category like pulpitis or periodontitis. Kew Words  : DMF-T Score, Learning Achievement

Abstract

TITLEThe relationship between concentration of mangosteen water stew as gargle and pH salivaABSTRACTCaries prevalence of people is 72.1%, with active caries prevalence of 46.5%. The incidence of dental caries due to the activity of microorganisms that leaven carbohydrates (substrate) to form acids that condition oral pH decreased to below 5. In order to maintain the pH of saliva can be done with traditional medicine, one of the mangosteen fruit. In the mangosteen fruit there is the content of alpha-mangostin and gamma-mangostin, which works as an anti-microbial. The study aims to determine the relationship between the concentration of the solution in boiling water to rinse the mangosteen fruit with changes in salivary pH.This type of research is a quasy experimental, with a design pretest-posttest design experiment. The subject of research conducted on the population that met the inclusion criteriawhich have no more than two carious tooth element and does not have gingivitis. The data analysis method is descriptive quantitative and correlation with Chi Square test. The results showed pH saliva in concentrations of 50%, before rinsing average salivary pH of 7.12 to 7.6. At a concentration of 75%, initial salivary pH was 7.2 and then changed to 8.0. Salivary pH changes after rinsing into acids derived from a concentration of 50%, whereas the increase tend to base is obtained from the concentration of 75%. The test results with the Chi square statistic obtained p.value = 0,142, and the interpretation was no relationship of the use of boiled water concentration of mangosteen to changes in salivary pH. Suggestions research results as a reference for the development of further research by conducting a more varied concentration of the solution formula to determine the right dose.  Key words : concentration mangosteen fruit stew

Health care facilities that are directly related to the community health center. Of its services by the health center, including prevention services via UKGS. UKGS coverage is still low, with the average number of new coaching first time visit to the elementary school in one year. This situation is still below the target of 2 times per year. Coverage SD UKGS fostered selective (stage III) reached 19.7%, still below the target of 30% of the elementary schools should be doing UKGS selective (stage III). The purpose of the study to know the effect of the characteristics of a biography of UKGS III coverage by the dental nurse inSemarangdistrict.Research carried out by the non-experimental design, the category of the type of quantitative research is descriptive and explanatory study. Subjects were the entire dental nurses working in health centers inSemarangdistrict as many as 35 people. Data analysis will be performed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyzes. Bivariate analysis done by correlation testChi Squarewith a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). Ha accepted if the p value <0.05. Test the effect by using multiple logistic regression multivariate analysis with α = 0.05.The results of research on the scope UKGS III dental nurse in coaching UKBM, UKGS coverage either category III (51.4%), older age group of 19 people (54.3%), educational background dental nurse was found with SPRG categories (26, 7%). state of the working period at most dental nurse working group long term (14-28 years) of 54.3%. Results of correlation tests performed withChi Squarethere is one variable that is related: education p value = 0.005, and there are two variables that showed no association namely: age variable p value = 0.060. The test results showed the effect was no significant effect of the level of education of respondents to the coverage UKGS III in Semarang district by using multivariate logistic regression analysis obtained p value with OR = 0.017 (Exp B) = 15.11. In addition to the OR obtained (Exp B) = 15.11 can be interpreted that if there is a dental nurse who has a higher education tend to be achieved coverage UKGS III with both categories 15 times, rather than dental nurses in secondary education (SPRG). Advice to the Head of Puskesmas Semarang District Health Office to provide opportunities for dental nurses undertake further education. Dental nurse to increase the activity UKGS improve coverage and further improve the frequency of coaching. Key words : biography characteristics, scope of Stage III UKGS

Abstract

TITLEThe effect of rinse using water stew of dry bay leaf (Eugenia polyantha) toward pH salivaABSTRACT Caries is the main couse of disease of the oral cavity caused by saliva. Salivary pH acidic and  susceptible to caries. Saliva is a buffer system to maintain optimum pH in the oral cavity. To keep salivary pH balance, can do prevented by chemically and mechanically. Chemically prevention can do rising mouth with bay leaves dried because it contain essential oil 0.17 % which can stimulate secretion of saliva. Increased secretion of saliva can increasing buffer on saliva so it can in salivaincreas and tend to be alkaline. Aim to know the effect of rising mouth with water stewbay leaves dried ( eugenia polyantha ) on salivary to pH to the students of Dental Health  Departement of Semarang .Research is quantitative descriptive. Research method is quasi exsperimental with cross sectional approach. Research design one group pretest – posttest. Collection of samples in this research using by using 20 samples,The test result of paired t -test showed 0.000 < 0.05 that there was influence of rising mouth with water stewbay leaves dried on salivary pH. It can be concluded that rising mouth with water stew bay leaves dried can cause changes in the pH of saliva.
