Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determain the value of slice thickness and reconstruction interval in which are able to produce an optimal image.Type of research is an experimental research with observational approach. Data retrieval is done by scanning with Scan 64 Slice MSCT in the wrist joint. Variations combination of slice thickness and interval Reconstruction by 9 (nine) times the variation of slice thickness between 0,5 mm, 1,0 mm, 1,5 mm and Reconstruction interval between 0,5, 1,0, 1,5.The results showed that to obtain optimal visualization of soft tissue and bone on MSCT scan examination Wrist Joint variation of slice thickness 0,5 mm and 1.5 Reconstruction interval can be selected. these variations produce optimal image quality with lower noise,

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the weight of the silver produced from silver recovery process using electrolysis and chemical deposition method with which NaOH 5 M. As well as to determine the method most widely produced silver from both methods. This research is an experimental study. Data collection was performed on material that has been saturated with fixer electrolysis method and precipitation with NaOH 5 M. Fixer solution that has been saturated by 20 liters divided by two. Furthermore, each volume by 10 liters silver recovery process performed by the method of electrolysis and precipitation with NaOH 5 M. The results showed that the silver recovery by electrolysis method produces silver as much as 29 grams, while silver recovery with NaOH 5 M resulted in the deposition of silver as much as 27 grams. Of both methods are the most widely produced silver is a method of electrolysis. Besides electrolysis method has the advantage of faster process, more practical, in generating pure silver is ready for sale. But it has the disadvantage expensive appliance. While the deposition method is cheaper, long process, longer chemical contamination and dangerous, impractical, drying takes a long time to do a new purification by combustion (burning with welding tools).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out information differences in image between two techniques from MRI 0,3 . Hopefully, it will be useful for radiographers to produce high quality post contrast images. Samples of this research were 30 patients having MRI brain tumor examination then were set with 2 sequences (spin echo and fast spin echo). Result was analized by using questionnaire observed by 3 radiologist. Data were then analized with Mann-Whitney and description of images was given. Result indicated that There were statistically differences between spin echo and fast spin echo post contrast T1 weighting image. Result showed that there were differences in post contrast T1 weighting image quality between spin echo and fast spin echo sequence. Statistically, with mann whitney test the differences were significant, with p value 0,000 (p< 0,5).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the weight of the silver produced by use of NaOH and Na2S materials. This research is experimental research. Data were collected by precipitating a saturated solution of fixer for silver content taken with the use of NaOH and Na2S each with 2.5 and 5 molarity. The results showed in the first precipitation with 2.5 M NaOH produces silver sediment 15 g and 2.5 g. The deposition of the second with 5 M NaOH produces silver precipitate 49 g and 10 g. Deposition third with 2.5 M Na2S produces silver precipitate 37 g and 6.5 g. Deposition fourth with 5 M Na2S produces silver precipitate 38 g and 8 g. Among the four most widely produced deposition of silver is a concentration of 5 M NaOH were able to produce as much as 10 g of silver.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the work of CT head scanogram modification to avoid radiation to the eyes towards the results of diagnostic information and pathological abnormalities. It is an experimental research with observational approach. The results show that the modification scanogram on head CT with slices parallel to the supra orbito meatal line (SOML) can avoid the radiation dose to the eyes. Anatomical information that is visible from 30 scanning produces an average value of 2.57 or obvious, and may reveal abnormalities in the head with obvious pathological.

Abstract

Community service This activity aiming for protocol implementation checks that can display image quality CR non-contrast with thoracic pulmonary and abdominal radiography optimally and get a dose of optimal radiation which is the result of the standardization of exposure techniques with IE examination of that organ based on the application of the exposure techniques and IE standardized without reduce the quality of the image information generated CR. Participant of this activity is radiographers using Kodak CR and for academic, total participants about 29 people. This activity packaged in the form of training activities that enable participants to practice directly, so that the material expected to be better understood by the participants. The training material includes a description of the quality assurance of the CR, an understanding of the parameters in the CR related to image quality and patient dose, followed by a workshop applications directly on each inspection.

Abstract

Pijat bayi dapat diartikan sebagai sentuhan komunikasi yang nyaman antara ibu dan bayi. Pijat bayimerupakan ungkapan rasa kasih sayang antara orang tua dengan anak lewat sentuhan pada kulit. Stimulasimerupakan hal yang penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak. Anak yang mendapat stimulasi yang terarah danteratur akan lebih cepat berkembang dibandingkan dengan anak yang kurang atau tidak mendapat stimulasi.Sentuhan ibu juga akan direspon oleh bayi sebagai bentuk perlindungan, perhatian, dan ungkapan cinta.Tujuan dan manfaat pijat bayi sangat banyak, bagi bayi sendiri maupun ibu antara lain bermanfaat untukmeningkatkan kepercayaan diri, memudahkan orang tua mengenali bayinya, membina ikatan kasih sayangorang tua dan anak (bounding). Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan cara ceramah dan simulasi pijat bayi.Promosi kesehatan dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Radiodiagnostik dan Radioterapi.Kegiatan bertempat di Balai Pertemuan Perum Sinar Waluyo RT 11 RW 01 Kelurahan Kedungmundu dengantema “Pijat Aman, Bayi Senang”. Pelaksanaannya pada saat kegiatan posyandu dan didukung narasumberdari Rumah Sakit Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang. Peserta kegiatan sekitar 50 orang ibu dan bayi.Kegiatan dapat berjalan lancar, antusiasme warga dan respon yang positif. Diharapkan program tersebutdapat dilanjutkan di masa mendatang dengan topik yang berbeda sebagai wujud pengabdian masyarakat.

Abstract

Background: The main idea of designing an assisting tool for immobilization in pediatric thorax and abdomen examinations is that there are radiographer’ s difficulties while performing radiographs, especially pediatric thorax and abdomen. Aims: This study aims to design of appliance assist for immobilization thorax and abdomen examination on pediatric patients. Methods: This study was an exploratory experiment by designing, applying and testing the construction of an assisting tool for immobilization in thorax and abdomen examination on pediatric patients. The methods used in data collection were interview and observation. Function test results were analyzed based on the check list of the respondents regarding the feasibility of the tool. Results: an assisting tool for immobilization in thorax and abdomen examination on pediatric patients was designed in examination table-shaped made of basic materials such as acrylic, hollow steel and Eser steel plate. Function test on the work of the assisting tool was performed by 6 respondents who applied it to the patient. Based on the function test results, there was of 89,5% respondents who stated that the tool for immobilization in thorax and abdomen examination on pediatric patients could help the performance of the radiographer in positioning and reducing the patient’s movement and there was no artifact in the radiographs. Conclusion: Function test results showed that the tool design could reduce the movement of patients and may replace the function of others to resist the movement of the patient. An assisting tool for immobilization in thorax and abdomen examination on pediatric patients should be improved further especially in choosing the material used, so that the toll will be lighter and can better reduce the patient’s mobility and the size should consider the average height of the pediatric patients.

Abstract

Background: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor among malignant ENT tumors in Indonesia, where nasopharyngeal carcinoma is included in the top five largest malignant tumors with the highest frequency, whereas in the head and neck areas occupy the first place. The purpose of this study is to know the 3D-CRT management in patients with nasopharynx carcinoma and to know the result of manual radiotherapy verification process using Image Computed Radiography Portal at Sub Department Radiotherapy Rumkital Dr. Ramelan.Methods: This research type is qualitative with case study approach. The study subjects were 1 person nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. The subjects of the study were 2 person oncologist, 1 medical physicist, 3 radiotherapy radiograph (RTT). Data were collected by observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis is done descriptivelyResult: The results showed management of 3D conformal nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Rumkital Radiotherapy Sub Department was in accordance with the literature and manual radiotherapy verification with Image Computed Radiography (PICR) Portal in Sub Department of Radiotherapy. Ramelan result can be accepted as replacement of Electronic Image Image Device (EPID).Conclution: result of management 3D conformal nasopharyngeal carcinomal can be accepted as replacement of Electronic Image Image Device (EPID)

Abstract

Background: Verification of geometry is a process to ensure that the position and volume of the irradiated tumor is the same as planned.Verification is done by comparing the radiographic image information of the Treatment Planning System (TPS) with radiation therapy to be provided on the Electronic Portal Imaging Device (EPID) device. This research is about geometry verification process on 3D conformal radiotherapy technique with nasopharyngeal cancer case at Radiotherapy Unit Radiology Installation Dr.Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta which aims to know the procedure and shift of geometry verification.Methods: The type of this research is descriptive study with retrospective data. Methods of data collection used are observation, interview and documentation. The subjects consisted of 3 radiotherapists, 1 medical physician and 1 radiation oncologist. The object of the study was nasopharyngeal cancer patients who received radiotherapy with conformal 3D technique with a sample size of 10 patients. Data obtained from observations and interviews were collected and then data reduction and open coding were then presented in the form of quotations, and drawn conclusions and suggestions.Result: The results of this study indicate that the geometry verification procedure is performed on the irradiation fractions 1,2 and 3 then in the 4th fraction we take the average shift of the fractions 1,2 and 3 to obtain the new isocenter point. After obtaining the new isocenter point of verification, do it again when the fractional radiation to 10 and 20. The average variation of the geometry shift obtained is on the vertical axis of 0.46 cm (towards the posterior), on the longitudinal axis of -0.2 cm (towards the superior) and on the lateral axis of -0.2 cm (towards the left) from the isocenter point.Conclusion: know the procedure of geometry verification conducted in Radiotherapy Unit of Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta and got the average of shifting variation on each vertical, longitudinal and lateral axis.
