Abstract

Quantitative Descriptive research with experimental opproach was done with x-ray machiine type UD150l-30E. The data of experiment was taken with made eight radiographs and the ESE measurement is conducted using TLD which layed on surface of abdomen phantom or at central point. Exposure was taken with eight times with eight variation of mAs. It is about 8,10,12,14,16,18,20 and 22 mAs with 80 kV. The result shown that there is a effetct of variation mAs to ESE and quality of radiographic anatomy image. Higher mAs result higher ESE and increase mAs about two interval reslut average value is 142 mR. Variation of mAs result variation of image quality. A good image quality with 19,1 cm part thickness resulted with use 18 mAs and 20 mAs with 80 kV. Optimum mAs with 80 kV in this research’s is 18 mAs.

Abstract

Technological evolution from conventional to digital in diagnostic imaging bring a change in the implementation of Quality Control (QC) of radiology. As a part of the Quality Assurance (QA), QC Radiology is implemented to determine the eligibility condition of the radiography equipment used for the radiological examinations. A Direct Digital Radiography (DDR) unit has been installed in Radiography Laboratory (Lab 3), School of Radiodiagnostic and Radiotherapy, the Health Polytechnic of Semarang since February 2013. However, routine performance tests of the equipment have never been performed. This study aimed to obtain baseline data by assessing the equipment parameters of the X-ray and the digital-DDR systems (illumination collimator; collimator accuracy; beam alignment; tube leakage; kVp accuracy; timer accuracy; mA linearity; reproducibility; HVL, and dark image; nonuniformity; noise; bad pixels; lag respectively). Accuracy and reproducibility of the DDR unit were measured following the procedure of Perka Bapeten No. 9-2011 (for X-ray System) and IEC 62220-1: 2003 (for digital system. Data were analyzed descriptively by QC-DR software. Results showed that X-rays system and digital system had overall good performance. Signal non-uniformity was found in the value of Local Signal to Noise Ratio (LSNRNU) and Global Signal to Noise Ratio (GSNRNU. Non-uniformity caused by the characteristics of the detector and the lack of correction in system performance. Signal correction software needed to be developed to reach signal uniformities. Spatial resolution and low contrast detectability testing also needed to be performed to ensure the ability of the DDR unit to produce image resolution and contrast picture of the object.

Abstract

This quantitative study was an experimental design. A total of 18 healthy male and female volunteers, with differnt BMI involved in the study by consecutive random sampling. An expert Radiologist evaluated all the 38 T2map images being studied. The arbitrary SI data were measured using one millimeter ROI of the machine measurement tools and the values of T2map were based on a fitted exponential decay calculation ?generated from the graphs developed by the Window excel. The mean differences amongst T2map values on the sagital plan femoro-tibial cartilage and coronal plan femoro-tibial (medial and lateral) were statistically tested using One-way Anova, and all the T2map images also graded by the radiologist following the OA the grading levels as published Internationally. In conclusion, an increased TE on the application of multi-spin echo sequence T2map, causing the calculated T2map values v? aried not only in the sagital area of t?he knee joint cartilage of the femoral and tibial but also in the coronal femoro-tibial (medial and lateral) for both the male and female healthy volunteer subjects, and different BMI category (under-weight, normal-weight, verweight). The values ?T2map within and between BMI group and among different gender showed statistically no difference (p-value > 0.05). The averaged T2map and its  tandard deviations have been used to define t?he T2map biomarkers (baseline T? 2map values) in each BMJ group subjects and between gender for both of the knee joint sagital and coronal planes despite the 1.5T MRI modality is not facilitated to commercial qMRI supporting software.

Abstract

High intensities of gastrointestinal tract may interfere to image quality of pancreatobilliary system that affects MRCP image degradation. The method of implementation of community service activities are divided into two activities : dissemination of material about improving the image optimization deployment training MRCP and use of oolong tea and herbal soy milk as an alternative oral negative contrast agent. Frameworks consist of input, process and output. Input as a potential target groups knowledge on the operation modalities of MRI and MRCP examination procedures. The process is in the form of training activities and the implementation of the use of oolong tea and herbal soy milk as an alternative to oral negative contrast agent on MRCP examination in hopes of generating output in the form of an increase in MRCP image optimization. Framework of solving problems through training implemented in the form of learning and mentoring using oolong tea and herbal soy milk as an alternative oral negative contrast agent MRCP, can produce contrast effect and image effect on the image enhancement MRCP optimization.

Abstract

Pijat bayi dapat diartikan sebagai sentuhan komunikasi yang nyaman antara ibu dan bayi. Pijat bayimerupakan ungkapan rasa kasih sayang antara orang tua dengan anak lewat sentuhan pada kulit. Stimulasimerupakan hal yang penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak. Anak yang mendapat stimulasi yang terarah danteratur akan lebih cepat berkembang dibandingkan dengan anak yang kurang atau tidak mendapat stimulasi.Sentuhan ibu juga akan direspon oleh bayi sebagai bentuk perlindungan, perhatian, dan ungkapan cinta.Tujuan dan manfaat pijat bayi sangat banyak, bagi bayi sendiri maupun ibu antara lain bermanfaat untukmeningkatkan kepercayaan diri, memudahkan orang tua mengenali bayinya, membina ikatan kasih sayangorang tua dan anak (bounding). Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan cara ceramah dan simulasi pijat bayi.Promosi kesehatan dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Radiodiagnostik dan Radioterapi.Kegiatan bertempat di Balai Pertemuan Perum Sinar Waluyo RT 11 RW 01 Kelurahan Kedungmundu dengantema “Pijat Aman, Bayi Senang”. Pelaksanaannya pada saat kegiatan posyandu dan didukung narasumberdari Rumah Sakit Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang. Peserta kegiatan sekitar 50 orang ibu dan bayi.Kegiatan dapat berjalan lancar, antusiasme warga dan respon yang positif. Diharapkan program tersebutdapat dilanjutkan di masa mendatang dengan topik yang berbeda sebagai wujud pengabdian masyarakat.

Abstract

Background: Radiograph of knee joint with Kellgren and Lawrence classification system is the gold standard for assessing knee osteoarthritis. However, these grades are still obstacles. It is sometimes not appropriate to assess the progress of osteoarthritis and very long time to see the results of such progress. Osteoarthritis diagnosis and classification have been relying on qualitative visual interpretation by a radiologist. Probably difficult to determine whether there OA in the knee or not. Image quantification of digital radiography is done by measuring the joint space width and tibio femoral angle of the knee joint using the ImageJ software, with body weight variance as one factor that could affect it. Aims: This research aims to get information of body weight effect on the measurement of the joint space width and tibio femoral angle of knee joint in OA detection. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. Subjects were digital images of the knee joint anteroposterior (AP) projection using Computed Radiography (CR) from 21 respondents with specific criteria. Image is then quantified using ImageJ software to measure the joint space width and tibio femoral angle. Print out of examination visually evaluated by one radiologist to confirm the diagnosis of OA of the knee joint. Results: The value of the right knee joint space width lateral and medial (3.81 ± 1.18 and 2.42 ± 0.77), while the left lateral and medial (3.49 ± 1.11 and 2.69 ± 0.83). Tibio femoral angle range 168.44 to 178.39 with the average tibiofemoral angle right knee 175.18 ± 2.04 and 173.80 ± 2.44 left knee. Body weight has a significant correlation to the tibiofemoral angle of knee joint (p value < 0,03). Conclusion: The joint space width values that taken from digital quantificationcan be baseline data of respondents, especially for those respondents who had grade 2 or indicated osteoarthritis, to be observed or compared in the next examination.The tibio femoral angle can be addition information in relation with knee pain to detect osteoarthritis.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to determine the procedures, techniques, reasons and evaluation of 3D conformal radiotherapy of squamous cell carcinoma case in the orbital region with additional bolus that has been done in the Radiotherapy unit of Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta Hospital. In addition, from this research also to find out how the visually tumor response to the radiation that has been given and there are limits of research for tumor responses made observations from the beginning of radiation to the completion of radiation.Methods: This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The data was collected in November-December 2017 at radiotherapy Unit of Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta Hospital by observation methodology, interview with Radiation Oncologist Specialist, Medical Physicist and Radiographer. the data obtained from the study were analyzed by an interactive model, creating the interview transcripts subsequently reduced and processed within the type of open coding, given within the type of quotations then are often drawn conclusions.Results: The results showed that the 3D Conformal Radiotherapy of squamous cell carcinoma case on orbital region with the addition of a bolus in Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta Hospital consists of a CT Simulator examination, TPS (Treatment Planning System), Verification and Treatment (radiation therapy). The bolus in the treatment process is intended for this case to provide a 95% dose to the target tumor raised up to the surface. For the response shown in this case the patient was not good despite the reduction in tumor, the tumor response was not good (response &lt;50%) according to WHO criteria showed stable disease criteria (SD).Conclusion: 3D conformal radiotherapy of squamous cell carcinoma case in the orbital region of this patient with the addition of a bolus aims to obtain a homogeneous distribution of all tumor targets and for visual tumor response in this case according to WHO criteria showing stable disease (SD) criteria.

Abstract

Backgroud: The research of performance test of MRI machines were done by doing performance test of nine different parameters in three hospitals in the province of Bali, where in two of these three hospitals are having troubled MRI machines which directly affected the image quality and therefore this research is also aimed to find out the performance of MRI machines in some hospitals in the province of Bali and intended as a baseline data if there will another test.Methods: This research is a quantitative study with survey approach. The tools and materials for this research were three MRI machines, which was consisted of two 1,5 Tesla machines and a 0,3 Tesla machine, phantom ACR, and MRI head coil. The data were collected by doing nine MRI performance testing procedures with ACR (2015) as a guideline and then the data were analyzed using international standards issued by ACR (2015).Results: Visual checklist test result of all the hospitals get 12 pass every day from the first day to the twentieth day. SNR test in Badung Regional General Hospital obtain measurement results of 268.17 and in The Board Of Tabanan General Hospital at 15.78 and at Sanglah Central General Hospital of 2.4. To test the artifact analysis only in The Board Of Tabanan General Hospital only found one type of artifact is the artifact geometric distortion. In testing the high contrast resolution in Sanglah Central General Hospital and Badung Regional General Hospital get the same result, namely insert a separate resolution of up to a third group, and the The Board Of Tabanan General Hospital insert a separate resolution to the second group. The test results in low contrast resolution Sanglah Central General Hospital and Badung Regional General Hospital get the same result, namely that there are 10 spokes are visible, then the The Board Of Tabanan General Hospital number of spokes that appear are 9 spokes. In testing the slice thickness accuracy in Sanglah Central General Hospital get the standard deviation of measurement of 5.12mm and in Badung Regional General Hospital get the standard deviation and the measurement of 0.64mm in The Board Of Tabanan General Hospital get the standard deviation of measurement of 0.48mm. Results of the geometric accuracy test in The Board Of Tabanan General Hospital has a difference measurement of 4.2mm X axis, Y-axis of 1.3mm, and has no difference in the Z-axis, in Badung Regional General Hospital has a difference of X-axis measurement of -3.1mm, have no difference in the Y axis the Z axis of 2mm, in Sanglah Central General Hospital has a difference measurement of 1.36mm X axis, Y-axis and Z-axis of 0.39mm for -3.53mm. The test results slice position accuracy in Sanglah Central General Hospital get the standard deviation measurements for -1.33mm, in The Board Of Tabanan General Hospital of 0.85mm, and in Badung Regional General Hospital of -0.3mm. For the test setup and table position accuracy throughout the hospital to get the same measurement is 5mm.Conclusion: Out of nine parameters in the test : only four parameters, which were high contrast resolution test, low contrast resolution test, slice position accuracy test, and setup and table position accuracy test, that met the international standards in all hospitals, whereas all the hospital didn’t meet the international standards in geometric accuracy test. There were two hospitals that didn’t meet the international standards in signal to noise ratio test, while one hospital didn’t meet the standards in artifact analysis test and slice thickness accuracy test.

Abstract

Background : Patients with HNP cases have a bigger chance to do a movement during MRI examination, and it causes poor MRI image. Quick time of MRI examination is needed to produce an optimal image. The technique of parallel imaging is a technique that can increase the speed of MRI data acquisition by passing through several lines of phase encoding in k-space. The GRAPPA technique is one of the methods used to reconstruct data on MRI parallel imaging techniques with better overall image quality. The technique of parallel imaging has a special parameter called acceleration factor. Acceleration factor (R-factor) will affect scan time. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of diagnostic image characteristic which is resulted in applying acceleration factor 2, 3 and 4 in parallel imaging of GRAPPA method and know the optimal acceleration factor to obtain MRI image of lumbar HNP case.Methods : This research type is quantitative research with descriptive approach. The study was conducted by MRI Siemens 3 T in RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun. The data were 30 MRI images of lumbar sagittal of HNP cases on T2WI FSE with acceleration factor 2, 3 and 4 GRAPPA methodsResult : The results of this study indicate that there are differences in diagnostic image characteristics in the application of acceleration factor 2 and 4, 3 and 4 with VGA test. Acceleration factor value optimal with VGC test known is acceleration factor 2 and 3Conclusion : Based on the result there was differencediagnostic image characteristics of MRI Lumbar in sagital plane Fast Spin Echo (FSE)sequence with variation acceleration factor 2, 3 and 4 parallel imaging GRAPPA methode in case Herniated Nucleus Pulposus (HN0). Optimal value of variation acceleration factor value for MRI Lumbar examination of Heniated Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) is 2 dan 3.

Abstract

Kelurahan Meteseh adalah salah satu Kelurahan yang berada di wilayah Kecamatan Tembalang Semarang. Secara demografis memiliki banyak potensi, diantaranya bidang peternakan sapi, perikanan, pertanian dan kewirausahaan yang dapat dioptimalkan dalam usaha untuk pembangunan Kelurahan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat Kelurahan tersebut. Masyarakat memandang masalah sampah menjadi hal yang patut diprioritaskan mengingat pengelolaan sampah melalui bank sampah dapat berimbas baik secara ekonomi, kesehatan maupun lingkungan pada masyarakat sekitar. Salah satunya adalah Prodi D-IV Teknik Radiologi Jurusan Teknik Radiodiagnostik Dan Radioterapi Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Semarang yang memiliki tanggung jawab dalam pelaksanaan tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi dalam wujud pengabdian kepada masyarakat.Kegiatan ini merupakan stimulan yang dilakukan melalui pemberdayaan kepada masyarakat melalui pembentukan dan pendampingan pentingnya Bank Sampah sebagai salah satu wadah untuk pengelolaan sampah yaitu dengan terbentuknya Bank Sampah Mulia sejahtera di Kelurahan Meteseh Kecamatan Tembalang Kota Semarang. Dengan slogan mengubah sampah menjadi Berkah. Harapan kami, nantinya kegiatan ini dapat ditindaklanjuti oleh warga untuk pemilahan dan pengolahan sampah. Sehingga, dapat terwujud masyarakat yang bersih, sehat dan sejahtera.
