Abstract

The purpose of this study was to reveal and analyze the effect on the quality learning of learning media in an accredited “A” school. The method used in this research is a survey research with quantitative research approach. As for the population in this research is all teachers on the SDN Dr. Cipto Bandung. The results showed that the learning media influence the positive and significant impact on the quality of learning. The description of learning media show good results. So even with a description of the quality of learning has shown good results, as well as the correlation values for the quality of learning to learning media are in a strong position.Keywords: learning media, quality of learning, elementary school.

Abstract

Persoalan tentang kepemimpinan belum berjalan secara profesioanal akibat masih banyaknya kepala sekolah yang masih menjadi instrumen kepala dinas (persoalan the man behind Ihe gun), adapun tujuan penelitian yang ingin dicapai penulis yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis mengenai hubungan transformasional kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah terhadap mutu sekolah. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan transfomasional kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap mutu sekolah. Ada pun rekomendasi yang ingin disampaikan penulis yaitu agar kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dapat memberikan dampak yang nyata, maka kepala sekolah lebih aktif memberikan pembinaan terhadap warganya dan aktif menggali informasi terbaru. Begitu pun supaya budaya sekolah dapat lebih kondusif, maka guru dan staff TU untuk lebih menyesuaikan diri dengan sistem sekolah yang terus mengarah pada arah perbaikan. Dengan begitu maka sekolah bermutu akan mudah terwujud.

Abstract

Development of learning innovations embodied in the learning model into the main needs within the education system in order to shape the character of qualified students. There are many models of learning that can shape the character of students. The learning models which are considered to establish the character among the students are developed based on an international school-based International Baccalaureate (IB) which Trandisciplinary or trans disciplinary learning model. Trans disciplinary model is considered to be most able to form the character of the students because it integrates various disciplines of science to create an understanding of the whole. The method used in this research is a survey research with quantitative research approaches. As for the population in this study are all teachers who exist in the International Primary School-Based IB in Bandung. The results showed that the learning model Trandisciplinary positive and significant impact on the character among the students. Second correlation value is at a high position.Keywords: trans disciplinary learning model, character students, and the international baccalaureate.

Abstract

The researchers choose SDN Tanjungsari I due to results of a survey of Sumedang District Education Office stating that SDN Tanjungsari I as a school with a good performance in the field of dance. This study uses qualitative research with case study design that aims to know more about the art of dance achievement in SDN Tanjungsari I. In a case study, the researcher is the main instrument. While data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, documentation and recording. Research results revealed that: (1) the achievement of dance SDN Tanjungsari I spelled out very much because every year is sure to be a champion in the activities FLS2N (National Student Competition Festival); (2) The main factors supporting the achievement of dance SDN acquisition Tanjungsari I which student talent, presence and expertise studio dance coach, parent support, and motivation; and (3) the process of learning to dance in SDN Tanjungsari I carried out systematically and conducive.

Abstract

Findings shown that of low student learning outcomes on the material style at class 4. The action is done by applying the problem-based learning model. Problem based learning trains students in solving contextual problems. This study to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes learning . The class action research by using method of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, test  and field notes. Based on data obtained shows the increase in teacher performance in the cycle I  72,72%, cycle II 84,84%, and cycle III 97,97%. Student activity in cycle I 69%, cycle II 84,21%, and cycle III 94,73%. While the results of learning in the cycle I 47,36%, cycle II 78,95%, and cycle III 95%. The result show that problem based learning model can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning to write traditional poetry (pantun) in grade IV-A SDN Padasuka 1 District of North Sumedang, Sumedang City is still low. It showed from the results of students in writing traditional poetry (pantun). Therefore, this study aim is to improve teacher performance, student activities, and student learning outcomes. To settle the problems, the researcher applied a game “pantun cerdas” to improve students writing skills. The method that used in this research was classroom action research spiral model by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of four components: planning, action, observation, and reflection a total of  three cycles. The results of students who complete the first cycle were 12 students or 43%, in the second cycle increased to 57%, and the third cycle is 25 students or 89% has been completed. Thus, through the application of game “pantun cerdas” can improve student learning outcomes in writing traditional poetry (pantun) learning.

Abstract

Based on data obtained from observations, interviews, and field notes, the students in 3rd grade of SDN Ganeas 1 are still didn’t have much ability to narrating their experience. The students are still difficult to speak clearly, lack of clarity of the story, and used the right intonations. Because of that situations, conducted research using talking stick method assisted by image series. The method can make students learning in good conditions or a happy feeling. The classroom activity reaserch was using Kemmis and Taggarts’s spiral model. The research was conducted in three cycles. Every single cycle shows the increases the result of teacher’s performance, students’ activity, and also students’ speak ability. Therefore, it can be concluded that talking stick methods assisted by image series succeeded in improving students’ speaking ability at narrating their experience.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking ability is way to think logically and reflectively which is important to develop, until student can solve the matter in their daily life. Efforts to gain mathematical critical thinking is through RME approach on the basis of local culture. This research is quasi experimental, nonequivalent control group design. The Population is fifth grade of Elementary School in Kertasemaya region which include into medium group. This research uses cluster sampling. SDN Tulungagung III is experimental class and SDN Kliwed 1 as control class. The result found that RME approach on the basis of local culture influence to increase students’ mathematical critical thinking significantly. RME approach on the basis of local culture has positive influence to increase student mathematical critical thinking ability better than conventional approach significantly. Many of students is giving positive respond towards RME approach on the basis of local culture in the group learning, the use of media, and LKS that is used in the learning process.

Abstract

Early data showed that 23 students from 36 students from third grade Corenda Elementary School as subject research still not yet reached the target. Beside that 12 out 36 students still struggles with self-confidence learning. Caused by less of media variation and the selection of learning approach wthich not emphasized the differences of learning type student. Researcher wanna solved the problem with applying SAVI approach. Researcher used kuantitative research method and kualitative spiral model classroom action research started with planning, immplementation, observation, and reflection. Improved porved by the observation at planning step, first cycles (83,3%), second cycles (100%). Implementation of teacher activity at first cycles (87,9%), second cycles (100%). Students activity at first cycles (68,2%), and second cycles (82,7%). Result learning at first cycles (58,3%) and second cycles (86,1%). Self-confidence’s student at first cycles (58,8%), and second cycles (89,1%). Therefore, by applying SAVI approached, result learning and self-confidence Corenda Elementary School students Cisitu Subdistriction Sumedang Regency had improved.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills used to solve the real problems in students life. However, in the reality this skill  in not used as a goals in the learning process at school. So that, the students’ creative thinking skills are low. Aim softh is research is to find out the students’ creative thinking skills in high, moderate, and low ranks by using problem based learning. The research method used is Pre-Experimental with one group pre-testa and posttest designs. The samples are five grade students of SDN Babakan 01 and SDN Rancaheulang. The instruments used are creative thingking skills test, questionnaire, observation paper and interview. The learning process which is conducted in all three groups are able to increase creative thinking skills, is showed from the stattistic test result that Problem Based Learning is able to increase creative thinking skills significantly. Moreover, obtained the difference of increase in all three groups. The group which reach the best result among all three groups is the students group in high rank.
