Abstract

Abstract: A Model of Teachers Responses to Students Behavior in Teaching and Learning. This study examined the influences of factors suggested in the theoretical model of teachers manners regarding students behavior in teaching-learning processes. it involved 180 primary school teachers in the Municipality of Malang. Multistage cluster technique was employed for the selection of the sample. The data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling. The results indicate that structural model has some empirical supports, which suggests that educational perspectives bear impacts on the teachers appraisal of the students behavior in learning. The teachers appraisal and emotional beliefs have some influences on their emotional stability, and, in turn, the emotional stability bears effects on the quality of their educative manners. Abstrak: Model Tindakan Guru Menanggapi Perilaku Siswa dalam Pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh antar faktor dalam model teoretik tindakan guru dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan rancangan causal relationship-explanation terhadap 180 guru SD di kota Ma­lang yang diambil dengan teknik multistage cluster. Data dianalisis dengan Structural Equation Modeling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model struktural telah layak dan memperoleh dukungan empiris. Artinya, wawasan kependidikan mempengaruhi anggitan guru terhadap perilaku siswa. Anggitan dan keyakinan emosi guru mempengaruhi stabilitas emosi guru, dan stabilitas emosi mempengaruhi kualitas tindakan guru.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this correlational and crosssectional research was to describe rearing style of grandfather/grandmother and parent towards children and adolescent in Javanese peasant society. Results found: (1) Based on the Suryomentaram concept, grandfather/grandmother and parent consistent tend to use negative style in controlling children and tend to flexible towards adolescent, (2 Based on the Hauser concept, grandfather/grandmother and parent tend high in constraining style and used enabling towards adolescent, (3) there were relation between Suryomentaram rearing concept and Hauser rearing style concept. Abtrak:Penelitian korelasional dan krosseksional ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya asuh kakek/nenek dan orang tua kepada anak-anak dan remaja dalam masyarakat petani Jawa. Hasilnya menunjukkan: (1) berdasar konsep Suryomentaram, kakek/nenek dan orang tua konsisten cenderung menggunakan gaya negatif untuk mengontrol anak, dan longgar kepada remaja, (2) berdasar konsep Hauser, kakek/nenek dan orang tua cenderung tinggi menggunakan gaya constraining, dan menggunakan gaya enabling kepada remaja, (3) ada hubungan gaya asuh berdasarkan konsep Suryomentaram dan Hauser.

Abstract

Keefektifan Pelatihan Keterampilan Asertif Untuk Meningkatkan Perilaku Asertif Siswa Korban Bullying di SMAAbstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of assertive skills training in improving assertive behavior of bullied high school students. Single Subject Research with ABAB reversal design is used in this study. There are 4 subjects from class X in academic year 2013/2014 which is identified as victims of bullying and had low assertive behavior based on the scale of victims of bullying and scale of assertive behavior (internal consistency validity and reliability 0,800 e” 0.3).  Baseline data phase and intervention phase are obtained through observation. Data is analyzed using visual analysis chart. The results show the assertive skills training with PLSIM can effectively improve assertive behavior of bullied students.Key Words: victim of bullying, assertive skills Abstrak: Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pelatihan keterampilan asertif dalam meningkatkan perilaku asertif siswa korban bullying di SMA. Penelitian  menggunakan Singel Subject Research dengan reversal design ABAB. Subjek 4 orang siswa kelas X tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang teridentifikasi sebagai korban bullying dan memiliki perilaku asertif yang rendah berdasarkan skala korban bullying dan skala perilaku asertif (validitas kosistensi internal e” 0,3 dan reliabilitas 0,800). Data fase baseline dan fase intervensi diperoleh melaui observasi. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis visual grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan keterampilan asertif dengan PLSIM efektif meningkatkan perilaku asertif siswa korban bullying.Kata kunci: korban bullying, keterampilan asertif

Abstract

The purposes of this research is to discover the impact of self-adjustment on student academic achievement. The method that used in this study is a correlational study with random sampling. The subject of the research is Timorese student is studying in Indonesia, there are 180 samples. The data collection has used a scale of Likert. The date is analyzed with simple correlation. The result showed there is 46.1% of significant and positive correlation of self-adjustment on student academic achievement. It means if self-adjustment being conducted well, student academic achievement will increase.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse and describe the work values of Serat Wedhatama. It used qualitative approach by hermeneutic design. The prime sourch of this study was Serat Wedhatama. The serat was interpreted and validated by interviewing cultural expert from Keraton Surakarta (Solo). Then it was analyze in accordance with the focus of the research. The result of the research stated that the work value in Serat Wedhatama consist of: religious, being cautious in acting and speaking, modesty, applying the good advice, forgiving, have responsibility, obeying the rule, having mercies to all people, sharpening and empowering of mind, choosing the work, wirya (power), arta (wealth), and winasis (knowledge). The research as inspiration in delivering material and method of the guidance. The inspirative method of the guidance in Serat Wedhatama is developed work value in Serat Wedhatama is through giving advice in literary form and kidung. The work values which were found in Serat Wedhatama and also their implications can be used to build the counseless character to have positive work ethic based on the culture integrated in the career guidance.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai kerja (work value) dalam Serat Wedhatama. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan desain hermeneutik. Sumber primer penelitian ini yaitu Serat Wedhatama. Serat tersebut diinterpretasi lalu divalidasi melalui wawancara dengan ahli budaya dari Kraton Surakarta (Solo). Selanjutnya melakukan analisis untuk dikategorisasikan sesuai dengan fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa work value dalam Serat Wedhatama, meliputi religius, berhati-hati dalam bertindak dan bertutur kata, rendah hati, menerapkan nasihat baik, memafkan sesama, memiliki tanggungjawab, patuh pada aturan negara, memiliki cinta kasih terhadap sesama, mengasah dan memberdayakan akal budi, pilihan pekerjaan, wirya (kekuasaan), arta (harta), dan winasis (pengetahuan). Implikasi penelitian ini terhadap bimbingan karier yaitu dapat dijadikan inspirasi dalam pemberian materi dan metode bimbingan. Inspirasi metode bimbingan dalam mengembangkan work value dalam Serat Wedhatama yaitu nasihat. Nasihat dalam Serat Wedhatama tertuang dalam bentuk karya sastra dan kidung. Work Value yang telah ditemukan dalam Serat Wedhatama beserta implikasinya tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai pembentukan karakter konseli untuk memiliki budaya kerja positif berbasis budaya yang terintegrasi dalam layanan bimbingan karier.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at improving the achievement motivation of high school students using cognitive behaviour counselling with self-instruction and self-monitoring techniques; and to knowing the difference of effectiveness between the two techniques given. The experimental research with the pretest-posttest two treatment designs was used as a research design. Data were collected using the treatment materials and the achievement motivation scale. Data were analysed by the descriptively and statistically (Wilcoxon test and The Mann-Whitney U test). The results of this study showed that there was an increasing in achievement motivation of high school students after being given counselling with self-instruction and self-monitoring techniques; and there was no significant difference between the two techniques to increase the achievement motivation of high school students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi siswa SMA melalui cognitive behavior counseling teknik self-instruction dan self-monitoring; untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas kedua teknik yang diberikan. Experimental research dengan the pretest-posttest two treatment designs digunakan sebagai rancangan penelitian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan bahan perlakuan dan skala motivasi berprestasi. Data dianalisis secara deskripstif dan statistik (uji Wilcoxon dan uji The Mann-Whitney U test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, terdapat peningkatan motivasi berprestasi siswa secara signifikan setelah diberi konseling teknik self-intruction dan self-monitoring; tidak terdapat perbedaan dari kedua teknik terhadap peningkatan motivasi berprestasi siswa SMA.

Abstract

This study investigated the validation of the psychological resilience scale adaptation from youth development module (RYDM) for secondary school. The psychological RYDM is measured by six factors psychological assets was strongly associated with students academic success. A sample of study is 158 seventh grade students from five secondary schools in Singaraja, Bali Province (75 or 47.4% male and 83 or 52.6%  female, with age range 12-13 years). The constructs validation was conduct by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) method, with SPSS 22.0. Five iterations of the EFA reducing 18 original items to 14 items and 6 original factors to 5 factors. Five factors and 14 items produced are consistent with the conceptual basis used in the original RYDM. The stability of new five factors is formed by a split sample analysis method showed the all of the items of factors identified in the earlier testing stable adequacy of forming a common factor in this analysis in the first and second iteration. The results of analysis the item-total correlation on 14 item (n = 158) showed Cronbachs Alpha value of 0.777. Implications the study for guidance and counseling practice in schools is discussed.

Abstract

Abstract: This research examined the effectiveness of conflict resolution counseling to solve student’s interpersonal conflict in senior high school. The experimental study used randomized controlled trials design with triple blinding include: client as participants, counselors, and pretest-postestt administrator. Participants were 24 students with destructive interpersonal, devided into 12 students in the experimental group and 12 students in the control group. The experimental group received conflict resolution counseling, and the control group received counseling as usual. Based on anacova statistical test indicated the implementing of conflict resolution counseling had improved four indicators effectively include, (1) positive perceptions of the conflict, (2) collaborative attitude in  facing the conflict, (3) constructive way to resolve conflict, (4) the results of a constructive conflict resolution, and  (5) the combination of four indicators. It can be concluded that, conflict resolution counseling can help the students of senior high school to solve their interpersonal conflicts.Key Words: Conflict resolution counseling, interpersonal conflict, senior high school students                                                                                                                          Abstrak: Penelitian ini menguji keefektifan konseling resolusi konflik untuk menyelesaikan konflik interpersonal pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan randomized controlled trials: triple blinding. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 24 siswa dengan konflik interpersonal berpola “menang-kalah” ataupun “kalah-kalah”. Mereka terbagi dalam 12 siswa pada kelompok eksperimen serta 12 siswa pada kelompok kontrol, melalui random allocation. Siswa kelompok eksperimen dikenai konseling resolusi konflik, sedangkan siswa kelompok kontrol dikenai konseling sebagaimana biasa. Berdasarkan uji statistik ancova, diketahui bahwa konseling resolusi konflik dapat meningkatkan (1) persepsi positif terhadap konflik, (2) sikap kolaboratif menghadapi konflik, (3) cara menyelesaikan konflik dengan konstruktif, serta (4) hasil penyelesaian konflik yang konstruktif. Kesimpulannya, konseling resolusi konflik efektif menyelesaikan konflik interpersonal pada siswa SMA, dibandingkan dengan konseling sebagaimana biasa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan, bahwa konselor sekolah dapat menggunakan konseling resolusi konflik untuk menyelesaikan konflik interpersonal siswa.Kata Kunci: Konseling resolusi konflik, konflik interpersonal, siswa sekolah menengah atas

students who are in the low category and causing confusion and indecision in taking a career. This research uses research design equivalent time series.Subjects in this study amounted to 8 students. This research uses data analysis with Wilcoxon test. The result of this research is an increase of score after given intervention using Experiential Learning model.Abstrak: Penelitian ini berdasarkan fenomena eksplorasi dan komitmen karier siswa yang masuk pada kategori rendah dan mengakibatkan kebingungan dan keraguan dalam mengambil sebuah keputusan karier. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian equivalent time series. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah delapan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian ini ada peningkatan skor setelah diberikan intervensi menggunakan model Experiential Learning.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to understand the characteristics of falling in love and the love expression in writing media (graffiti) on Junior High School students. The chosen approach is qualitative approach with phenomenological research type. The subject is students of Sekolah Menengah Pertama Pancadarma Malang. The result shows love is expressed in the form of courting behavior, the love that underlies this relationship is romantic love so it cannot be said to be deep love (unreflective). In love expression, it can be directly (oral and action) or indirect (writing). The expression of love through writing can be classified into written media (school facilities, public facilities, private facilities, social media); writing forms (graffiti, tattoos, reply to comments, replying text messages, poetry, writing letters, short stories); and the content of writing (feelings and desires to be disclosed). It can be concluded that there are two main characteristics of the love expressed in the form of writing, the love expressed in the form of works and love expressed in the form of destructive (vandalism) behavior.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik jatuh cinta dan bentuk pengekspresian jatuh cinta melalui media tulisan (coretan) pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Pendekatan yang dipilih adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Subjek adalah siswa SMP Pancadarma Malang. Hasil menunjukkan cinta diekspresikan dalam bentuk perilaku pacaran, cinta yang mendasari hubungan ini adalah cinta romantis sehingga hubungan tidak dapat dikatakan mendalam (unreflective). Dalam pengekspresiannya, cinta dapat diungkapkan secara langsung (lisan dan tindakan) maupun tidak langsung (tulisan). Pengekspresian cinta melalui tulisan dapat diklasifikasi menjadi media tulisan (fasilitas sekolah, fasilitas umum, fasilitas pribadi, media sosial); bentuk tulisan (graffiti, tato, berbalas komentar, bertukar pesan teks, puisi, menulis surat, cerita pendek); dan isi penulisan (perasaan dan keinginan yang ingin diungkapkan). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada dua karakteristik utama pengekspresian cinta dalam bentuk tulisan, yaitu cinta yang diekspresikan dalam bentuk karya dan cinta yang diekspresikan dalam bentuk perilaku vandalisme (perusakan).Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um001v2i42017p165
