Abstract

This research focuses on the application of the cooperative model learning with make a match technique. The purpose of this research is to describe science process skill of student for learning by using a cooperative learning model with make a match technique on science learning and assess significant differences of student’s achievement science learning between the cooperative learning model using make a match technique and learning model commonly used in junior high school. This type of research is experiment research at SMP 10 Jember. Data collection method that used is interview, observation, portfolio, test, and documentation. Data analysis technique that used is independent sample t-test assistance SPSS 16. The average of all basic science process skill is 3,32 and average of integrated science process skill is 3,66. The average of whole science process skill 3,49 with the criteria is very good. The analysis result of student’s learning achievement is 4,869 > 0,05. Based on the analysis result, we can conclude that science process skill with a cooperative learning model by applying make a match technique is categorized as very good. Cooperative learning model by applying make a match technique is significantly imfluence to the student’s science achievement.
