Abstract

Problem Based Instruction (PBI) accompanied by guided note-taking strategy is a model combined with a strategy in which there were small groups of students working together to solve a problem that is presented through guided note-taking. The implementation of this regulation that is capable of improving a scientific attitude and results of student learning because it is in the process of teaching and learning of students trained to develop their own knowledge, develop problem-solving, and increase the confidence of students. The use of guided note-taking can make every student poured the idea in his mind to find a problem with a complete record of a given teacher. The purpose of this research is to examine the differences in scientific attitude and examine the differences in the results between two students studied physics classes (classes of experimental and control). Type of this research is to design experiments, using a control group post-test only. This research has been completedat Arjasa SMAN. Data collection techniques used are now, tests, interviews and documentation. The results of data analysis scientific attitude of students show sig. value (1-tailed) is 0,0195 or < 0.05. The results of data analysis results showed students studied physics sig. value (1-tailed) is 0,0015or < 0.05 at the first meeting and sig. value (1-tailed) is 0.02 or

Abstract

Abstract

The aims of the reseach are: 1) study the differences of learning achievement between student that learning by the GI model based on contextual problem with project assessment and conventional learning; 2) describe student’s science process skill during learning process; 3) study relation between science process skill and learning achievement using the GI model. This is experimental research with posttest-only control design.The population are all of XI degree student at MAN 1 Jember in 2013/2014 academic year with the sample 2 class as experiment class and control class.The techniques of data collection areobservation, documentation, test and interview. Technique of analyze data are independent sample t-test SPSS 16 programe study the differences of learning achievement, precentage analyses describe science process skills, and bivariate correlate SPSS 16 programestudy relations between science process skills and learning achievement. The study conclude that: 1) there is significant differences of learning achievement between experiment class and control class with sig. 0,003; 2) percentage of science process skills are good citeria with percentage 81,12%; 3) there is significant relation between science process skills and learning achievement with sig. 0,039.

Abstract

Learn using educational comics is a learning activity with innovation learning materials. Educational comic is a story that pressurized in the motion and act, be presented in a sequence of images with a blend of the words that aim to increase the knowledge and abilities through learning practical technique or instruction about the facts by providing the information actively. Science learning materials based on educational comic is a development product of teaching materials that can improve student’s learning motivation. The objectives of this research are to produce innovative materials in the form of a valid educational comic, knowing the student’s learning motivation after using the learning materials, and find out the student’s learning result. This type of research is the development, design by using 4D. This research has been completed in SMP Negeri 1 Tamanan with subjects of the research is class Seven B (VII B). The techniques of data collection are used documentation, logic validation, questionnaire of motivations and tests. The results of the validation data analysis science teaching materials based on educational comic that have been developed, the value validation from experts, which is 3.68. Student’s motivation showed 78,3%, and the student’s learning result showed 72,7. The conclusion of this research is the science learning material based on educational comics logically categorized as valid, the student’s learning motivation after using this teaching materials categorized as motivated, and student’s learning result categorized as stated.
