EFEKTIVITAS PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN ATTRIBUTING PADA MATERI HIDROLISIS GARAM

Abstract

This research was quasi experiment with non-equivalence (pretest-posttest) control group design. This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Bandarlampung with purpose to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to increase studentsattributingability on salt hydrolysistopic. The samples in this research were taken by using purposive sampling and it was acquired the MIA4 and MIA5 of the 11th grade in even semester of 2014-2015 academic year. Learning was said effective, if there are statistically significant difference of the n-Gain average in the control and experimental classes. The results showed that the average n-Gain of attributing students ability in the control and experimental classes were 0.41 and 0.56,respectively.So,it was concluded that theuse of scientific approach on the salt hydrolysis topicwas effective in improving the ability of attributing.Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalence Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan attributing siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas MIA4 dan MIA5 dari kelas XI di semester genap tahun akademik 2014-2015. Pembelajaran dikatakan efektif apabila secara statistik kemampuan attributing siswa menunjukkan perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan attributing siswa untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,41 dan 0,56. Maka, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan saintifik pada materi hidrolisis garam efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan attributing.Kata kunci: hidrolisis garam, kemampuan attributing, pendekatan saintifik.
