Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Daerah Aliran Sungai Unda Provinsi Bali dengan tujuan: (1) mengkaji kemampuan teknik penginderaan jauh dalam ekstraksi data karakteristik lingkungan fisik DAS untuk estimasi debit puncak; (2) memperkirakan besarnya perubahan debit puncak pada DAS Unda berdasarkan metode rasional dengan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Data yang dikumpulkan mencakup data spasial dengan melibatkan teknik penginderaan jauh untuk ekstraksi parameter-parameter fisik DAS (kemiringan lereng, tutupan lahan, infiltrasi tanah dan timbunan air permukaan). Ujiakurasi dan pengukuran lapangan diperlukan untuk memvalidasi data yang sudah dikumpulkan. Data yang sudah dikumpulkan selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis untuk menentukan tingkat pengaruh masing-masing parameter dalam perhitungan debit puncak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Citra Landsat 8 OLI (Onboard Operational Land Imagery) komposit 563 (false color) memperoleh akurasi sebesar 85,7% dari interpretasi penutup lahan dan didukung data SRTM dapat digunakan untuk penentuan koefisien limpasan permukaan yang disusun dari overlay peta kemiringan lereng, peta penutup lahan, infiltrasi tanah dan timbunan air permukaan; (2) perhitungan debit puncak rerata dengan menggunakan metode rasional memberikan hasil sebesar 16,07 m3/detik, sedangakan perhitungan debit puncak dari hasil pengukuran lapangan menggunakan metode manning memberikan hasil sebesar 20,01 m3/detik. Mengacu pada hasil tersebut maka ketelitian yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 80,31%.

Abstract

This study was aimed at investigating the sustainability of subaks in the dynamics of regional development in the metropolitan area of Badung Regency, Bali Province. The data on subak sustainability were collected by using survey method in 69 subaks as the units of analysis, and the secondary data on the factors of regional development were collected by using document recording method. The data were analyzed by using quantitative decriptive technique, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the spatial distribution of subak sustainability levels forms cluster pattern with different dominations in short-, trantitional- and long- distance zones from the  tourism center. The components/elements of Tri Hita Karana (THK) that constitute the first priority in subak sustainability protection are wet land conversion control and guarantee for irrigation water adequacy. It was found that five factors ot regional development have a strong influence on subak sustainability with 87.8% contribution, and the rest (12.2%) is acounted by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

AbstractThis study was aimed at mapping the rice field land conver­sion spatial pattern in the metropolitan region of Badung Regency, Bali Province, and analyzes the effectiveness of local government policy in controlling rice field land conversion. The mapping was done using the overlay technique aided Geographical Information System (GIS) in which the 2002 land use map and the 2009 land use map. The analysis of the effectiveness of the local government policy was done using regulating documents, observation of in the field, and analysing community evaluation (involving subak leader/pekaseh, farmer/subak member, and chairman traditional village/klian). The study shows that the spatial distribution of the rice field land conversion form cluster pattern. This pattern emerged because of the contagious nature of the rice field land conversion that influenced by development in the sorrounding environment. The implementation of the local government policy is not effective. This is supported by some weakness in the regulation system, an increase in rice field conversion facts and negative respon from the community of the local government policy implementation. In order to make the control of the rice field land conversion run effectively, the local government should reorient the development priorities to the agricultural sector by engaging the partisipant of the local community such as subak.

Abstract

This study was aimed at designing a spatial zonation model of a subak sustainability type based on the internal and external dimentions from 69 subaks in three districts in Badung regency. The internal dimention was measured based on subak capability index in implementing Tri Hita Karana (THK) philosophy. The external dimention was measured by using index of four variables, namely: road density, population density, social economic facilities, and number of nonfarmer families.The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative technique and spatial analysis using Geographical Information System (GIS) software. The results found three zones of subak sustainability type, spatially follows the principle of distance decay of the growth of tourism and city center. Unsustainable - less sustainable subak zone dominates short distance zone, sustainable - less sustainable subak zone dominates transitional zone, while sustainable subak zone dominates long distance zone. To protect subak from destruction, less sustainable subaks have to be restored into sustainable ones and the sustainable subaks should be made eternal/exclusive subaks

Abstract

This research was conducted in the western coastal region of Buleleng which includestwo districts, namely: Seririt District and Gerokgak District. The research aims were (1) toanalyze the trend of the dynamics of sea level in the period of 2002 to 2010, and (2) to predictthe spatial distribution of flood of sea water. The data used are Envisat satellite altimetry datafrom the results of post-processing data, which were then analyzed the trend of mean sea leveland forecast of sea level rise for year 2020 using linear regression analysis. To determine thespatial distribution of area flood of sea water, then the data of level rise forecast were analyzedwith Geographic Information System (GIS). The results of this research define that the functionalrelationship of the trend of mean sea level rise in the area of research is y = 0.051 x + 1.612. Theprediction of mean sea level rise that is obtained every year 5.1 cm and for 2020, the sea levelrise is predicted to reach 2,224 cm. The width of coastal area that is potentially flooded of seawater reaches 812.954 m2 (0.227%). Spatially, the widest food area is Pejarakan village and thenarrowest is Celukan Bawang village. The percentages of the villages that are flooded to areavillages show a relatively homogeneousdistribution.

Abstract

This study is one of the design of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for modeling simulations to predictive of the physical development in Singaraja City, so as to provide fast data regarding the  estimation of the physical development of cities among rapid land conversion activities. The method used in this study was done on a number of spatial data overlay thought to affect the physical development of the city. Each of the spatial data is weighted according to the likelihood that the effect will be given. Results from this study defines that land has been earmarked for housing and public facilities and infrastructure in Singaraja around about 39%. While the predictions of the results found that the location of the most potential physical development of the city will occur at the core of the city and partly penetrated the membrane core of the city as well as suburban.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the village of Lenek Daya and Kali Bambang, District of Aikmel, East Lombok. This study aims to: (1) to describe the characteristics of sand mining activities rocks in the village of Lenek Daya and Kali Bambang District of Aikmel, (2) Describe the process of the development of the management of sand mining activities rocks in the village of Lenek Daya and Kali Bambang District of Aikmel, ( 3) to analyze the impact of sand mining activities stones on the sustainability of agricultural resources in the village Lenek Daya and Kali Bambang District of Aikmel. This research is a analysis descriptive quantitative and qualitative. These samples included 71 people taken by "Proportional Random Sampling". The object of this research is the mining and agricultural activities while research, subjects were the miners sandstone, the rock sand mining, and agricultural land owners who used stone sand mining area in the Village Lenek Daya and Kali Bambang. Data obtained using the survey method with the instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that (1) Characteristics of sand mining activities rocks in the village of Lenek Daya and Kali Bambang District of Aikmel is in terms of age 77% of miners are productive age, education miners 42% completed primary school, the miners 98% indigenous population, 79% miners income of at least Rp 50,000/day, and 42.1% of sales sandstone sold to local village construction purposes, (2) sandstone mining activities which took place in the village and the Lenek Daya and Kali Bambang District of Aikmel managed by rural communities dan last times proposed by rural communities, 72% use manual equipment and 28% modern equipment,(3) rock sand mining activities negatively affect the sustainability of agricultural resources with a level of sustainability categorized ”low”. Keywords: Characteristics of stone sand mining activities, and agricultural resources.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Gerokgak dengan tujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui pelaksanaan program simantri di Kecamatan Gerokgak (2) mengetahui eksistensi pertanian di Kecamatan Gerokgak (3) Menganalisis hubungan pelaksanaan program simantri terhadap eksistensi pertanian di Kecamatan Gerokgak. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan kuesioner, yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, analisis product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1). Pelaksanaan simantri di Kecamatan Gerokgak secara kelompok maupun secara individu sudah tergolong dalam pelaksanaan yang cukup baik (2). Eksistensi pertanian di Kecamatan Gerokgak mengalami peningkatan setelah adanya program simantri peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari produktivitas tanaman pangan setelah 4-5 tahun berjalannya program simantri (3). Terdapat hubungan yang positif antara pelaksanaan simantri dengan eksistensi pertanian di Kecamatan Gerokgak.
