Abstract

Porong estuary is a place where materials transported along the river have been accumulated as well as Sidoarjo sludge. The amount of sediment in the estuary causes high turbidity levels of the river. The objective of this study is to determine the pattern and the concentration of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) spreading in Porong estuary for 15 days with SED2D models from software SMS 8.1 using maximum and minimum riverflow input, thus, the model results that are closer to reality in nature can be obtained. Tides, currents, and TSS were used as primary data sources, while Porong riverflow, Juanda wind and bathymetry maps Java-North Coast Surabaya to Bali Strait scale 1: 200.000 Sheet V No.82 year 2006 as secondary data sources. The results of the research showed that the concentration of TSS spreading for maximum riverflow 248–158 mg/l and minimum riverflow input 248–160 mg/l with spreading pattern tend to go to southeast direction. TSS concentration spreading model verification indicates that the model with the maximum riverflow data input has smaller MRE value than the model with the minimum riverflow.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berlokasi di Muara sungai Suwatu sampai pantai Bulumanis Kidul dengan pengambilan sampel air dilakukan pada tanggal 4 April 2012 (musim penghujan). Latar belakang yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah karena terdapat muara Sungai Suwatu di pantai Bulumanis Kidul sehingga menjadi wilayah yang rentan terhadap pencemaran. Di muara sungai akan terakumulasi semua bahan buangan yang berasal dari sepanjang aliran sungai Suwatu dan dari laut yang terbawa oleh pergerakan arus. Penyebaran bahan buangan ke laut akan terdorong ke pantai akibat gerakan arus atau gerakan pasang surut, sehingga pantai sekitar juga akan terkena dampak pencemaran yang terjadi di sungai. Kondisi status mutu air Sungai Suwatu yang tercemar berat akan mempengaruhi kondisi pantai Bulumanis Kidul. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkategorikan status mutu air laut di pantai Bulumanis Kidul dengan perhitungan indeks pencemaran. Data yang diperlukan yaitu data konsentrasi parameter fisika (TSS) dan kimia (pH, BOD, DO dan CN). Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel air menggunakan metode sampling purposif. Pengambilan sampel air dilakukan di empat stasiun yaitu ST1, ST2, ST3 dan ST4. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan status mutu air di pantai Bulumanis Kidul dengan menggunakan perhitungan indeks pencemaran (IP) berdasarkanbakumutu TSS untuk mangrove yaitu dalam kondisi tercemar sedang dengan nilai indeks pencemaran (IP) antara 5,67-8,22.

Abstract

Squid net is one of alternatives to replace trawl net in Pati regency. The purposes of the research are 1) to determine the influence factors, 2) to analyze the return to scale, 3) to analyze cost and return.The research location in Juwana Subdistrict particularly Bakaran Kulon, Dukutalit, Bajomulyo and Bendar Villages. The research conducted on October 2015 to June 2016. The number of final samples was 36, while the formulation of management strategies used 15 samples by snowball sampling. Data analysis techniques used 1) Cobb Douglas production function, 2) revenue-cost ratio analysis. The results of the research are 1) significant inputs for production factor are long trip, Solar fuel, the number of crew and lights. 2) the return to scale of squid net bussiness in Juwana subdistrict Pati regency is -0.231 means decreasing to scale. 3) the R/C ratio of scenario II more profitable for squid net crews than  scenario I.

Abstract

Pelagic fish was the main raw material for fish processing industry. Rate of fishing that not equivalent with the growth of fish resources, eventually will decrease the catch of fishermen. Aims of the research were (1) to estimate the bioeconomic of pelagic fish resources on MSY (Maximum Sustainable Yield), MEY (Maximum Economic Yield) and OA (open Access) conditions; (2) to estimate the optimum utilization rate, (3) arrange the management model of sustainability pelagic fish resources in Pati regency. This research was descriptive quantitative and conducted in March until September 2017. Reseacrh location in Bajomulyo village and Bendar village Juwana Subdistrict with 35 samples. Data analysis : (1) gear standardization, (2) bioeconomic static optimation model approach, (3) bioeconomic dinamic optimation model approach, (4) reconstruction of in-depth interview results. Result of the research are (1) bioeconomic static optimation model approach namely, biomass MEY>MSY>OA, catch MSY>MEY>OA, effort OA>MSY>MEY, profit MEY>MSY>OA; (2) bioeconomic dinamic optimation model approach namely, biomass MEY>MSY>OSY>OA, catch MSY>MEY>OSY>OA, effort OA>MSY>OSY>MEY, profit MEY>>OSY>MSY>OA; (3) pelagic fish management model are input controlling, output controlling and technical provisions.

Abstract

ENGLISHThe first fisheries management goal is to improve small fishermen’s quality of life. The small fishermen’s quality of life depends on the amount of income earned from the fishing activities. The purposes of this research are (1) to analyze the factors that influence the production of the fishermen in Pecangaan Village, (2) to calculate the return to scale of fishermen in Pecangaan Village. This research used descriptive quantitative method and was conducted on August 2016. The research location is in Pecangaan Village, Batangan Subdistrict. It mainly used primary data derived from the respondent (the fisherman in Pecangaan village). Secondary data were derived from the government of Pecangaan Village, Batangan Subdistrict. The number of processed data was 50 samples. The data analysis used Cobb-Douglas production function, in which dependent variable was production quantities and independent variable were: the amount of solar; the number of days at sea; the number of hours at sea; the sailing distance;fishermen’s consumption during the sailing, GT boats, number of crew and net’s width. The results of the research are (1) the significant factors are the number of days at sea; fishermen’s consumption during the sailing, GT boats and net’s width. Meanwhile, the insignificant factors are the amount of solar; the number of crew, the sailing distance and the number of hours at sea. (2) The value of return to scale in the production offisherman in Pecangaan Villageis -8.699, means it is in the condition of decreasing return to scale. INDONESIATujuan pengelolaan perikanan yang pertama yaitu untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup nelayan kecil. Taraf hidup nelayan kecil berhubungan dengan jumlah pendapatan yang diperoleh dari hasil tangkapan ikan yang didapat. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi nelayan Desa Pecangaan, (2) untuk menghitung skala hasil (return to scale) nelayan Desa Pecangaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2016. Lokasi penelitian yaitu di Desa Pecangaan Kecamatan Batangan. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer berasal dari responden (nelayan di Desa Pecangaan). Sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari Pemerintah Desa Pecangaan Kecamatan Batangan. Data yang diolah berjumlah 50 sampel. Analisis data dengan fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas, dengan variabel terikat jumlah produksi dan variabel bebas adalah jumlah solar, jumlah hari melaut, lama trip, jarak melaut, konsumsi, GT kapal, jumlah ABK dan luas jaring. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) Faktor yang signifikan yaitu jumlah hari melaut, konsumsi, GT kapal dan luas jaring. Untuk faktor yang tidak signifikan adalah jumlah solar yang digunakan, jumlah ABK, jarak melaut dan lama melaut. (2) Nilai return to scale pada produksi nelayan Desa Pecangaan adalah -8,699 artinya dalam kondisi skala hasil yang menurun (decreasing return to scale).

Abstract

ENGLISHA good pattern marketing chain can determine the smoothness of product distribution and becomes the determinant of continuity and development of an industry. Boiled fish industry is the second largest fish processing industry in Pati Regency. The objective of this research is to determine the pattern of boiled fish marketing chain in Pati regency on household, small, medium and large industrial scales. This research used descriptive method and was held on March 2014. Location of the research in Juwana and Dukuhseti subdistrict. Primary data was obtained through interviews with informants, i.e. the owners of boiled fish industries on households, small, medium and large scales. Data was analyzed descriptively. Result of the research is there are two types of boiled fish marketing chain in Pati regency, i.e. direct marketing is called zero level channel (households and small industry scales) and marketing through intermediaries that consist of first channel or three level channel (household industry scale); the second channel or one level channel (scale households and small industries); and the third channel or two levels channel (scale medium and large industrial). INDONESIARantai pemasaran yang terpola dengan baik dapat menentukan kelancaran distribusi produk dan menjadi penentu keberlangsungan hidup dan perkembangan suatu industri. Industri ikan pindang merupakan industri pengolahan ikan kedua terbesar di Kabupaten Pati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola rantai pemasaran ikan pindang yang ada di Kabupaten Pati pada skala industri rumah tangga, kecil, sedang dan besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan dilaksanakan bulan Maret 2014. Lokasi penelitian di Kecamatan Juwana dan Dukuhseti. Data primer didapatkan melalui wawancara dengan informan/pengusaha ikan pindang skala rumah tangga, kecil, sedang dan besar. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah rantai pemasaran ikan pindang di Kabupaten Pati terdapat dalam dua jenis yaitu pemasaran secara langsung disebut saluran nol tingkat (skala industri rumah tangga dan kecil) dan pemasaran melalui perantara terdapat dalam bentuk saluran pertama disebut saluran tiga tingkat (skala industri rumah tangga); bentuk saluran kedua disebut saluran satu tingkat (skala industri rumah tangga dan kecil); bentuk saluran ketiga disebut saluran dua tingkat (skala industri sedang dan besar).

Abstract

ENGLISHThe leading of Fishery commodities in Pati Regency are aquaculture pond fishery and marine capture fishery. Objectives of the research are (1) to describe the development of Pati Regency leading commodities in 2008-2012; (2) to describe the contribution of Pati Regency leading commodities to Central Java Province; and (3) to describe Pati Regency leading commodities position in Central Java Province scale. The research used descriptive method and was held in December 2013. Secondary data source namely marine capture fishery and aquaculture pond fishery production data from Statistics of Central Java Province for 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Data was analyzed descriptively. The results were: (1) Both capture fishery and aquaculture pond fishery during the last 5 years (2008-2012) showed positive trend, that increased constantly; (2) the percentage of aquaculture pond fishery contribution is above 20% (range 23-28%), meanwhile marine capture fishery below 20% (range 15-18%); (3) Pati Regency marine capture fishery in 2008 and 2009 was ranked third , but three years later namely 2010, 2011 and 2012 managed to rank second in the Central Java Province scale. While, Pati Regency aquaculture pond fishery was ranked second in the last 5 years. INDONESIAHasil perikanan yang menjadi komoditas unggulan di Kabupaten Pati adalah komoditas perikanan budidaya tambak dan perikanan laut tangkap. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) menggambarkan perkembangan hasil komoditas perikanan unggulan Kabupaten Pati tahun 2008-2012; (2) menggambarkan besaran kontribusi komoditas perikanan unggulan Kabupaten Pati kepada Provinsi Jawa Tengah; dan (3) menggambarkan posisi komoditas perikanan unggulan Kabupaten Pati dalam skala Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dan dilaksanakan bulan Desember 2013. Sumber data sekunder yaitu data produksi perikanan laut tangkap dan perikanan budidaya tambak dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Tengah untuk tahun 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 dan 2012. Analisis data secara deskripsif. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) hasil perikanan laut tangkap dan perikanan budidaya tambak Kabupaten Pati selama kurun waktu 5 tahun terakhir (2008-2012) menunjukkan tren positif yaitu terus mengalami peningkatan; (2) nilai persentase kontribusi perikanan budidaya tambak diatas 20% (kisaran 23-28%), sedangkan perikanan laut tangkap berada dibawah 20% (kisaran 15-18%); (3) hasil perikanan laut tangkap Kabupaten Pati pada tahun 2008 dan 2009 menduduki peringkat ketiga, tetapi 3 tahun selanjutnya yaitu tahun 2010, 2011 dan 2012 berhasil menduduki peringkat kedua dalam skala Provinsi Jawa tengah. Sedangkan perikanan budidaya tambak, Kabupaten Pati menempati peringkat kedua dalam 5 tahun terakhir.

KELAYAKAN USAHA INDUSTRI IKAN PINDANG SKALA RUMAH TANGGA DI KABUPATEN PATI

Abstract

ENGLISHBoiled fish is quite popular in Pati Regency. The purpose of this study is to conduct economic analysis of industrial fish boiled in household scale in Pati Regency. The study was conducted in Banyutowo village, Dukuhseti Sub district and Dukutalit village, Juwana Sub district on October 2015. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The primary data were obtained by interviews with boiled fish employers of household scale. While secondary data were derived from relevant documents from marine and fisheries agency of Pati regency. Sampling method was purposive sampling. Respondents were boiled fish employers of household scale. Data were analyzed using analysis of financial feasibility comprising: NPV, R/C ratio, IRR and PP. Results of the research show that: 1) NPV is Rp527,580,791 which means investing for boiled fish industry of household scale in Pati Regency acceptable; 2) The ratio R/C is 1.24 which means feasible to be run and developed; 3) The IRR is 5.11 meaning IRR > relevant interest rate (4.14%), so the investment is profitable; 4) PP is 4.8 years or 4 years and 10 months, including the category of medium refund. INDONESIABentuk olahan hasil perikanan laut yang cukup populer di Kabupaten Pati adalah ikan pindang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melakukan analisis ekonomi terhadap industri ikan pindang dengan skala rumah tangga di Kabupaten Pati. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dan dilaksanakan bulan Oktober 2015. Sumber data berupa data primer yang diperoleh dari wawancara dengan pengusaha ikan pindang skala rumah tangga. Sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari dokumen relevan Dislautkan Kab. Pati. Pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Responden merupakan pengusaha ikan pindang skala rumah tangga. Lokasi penelitian berada di Desa Banyutowo Kecamatan Dukuhseti dan Desa Dukutalit Kecamatan Juwana. Analisis data dengan analisis finansial kelayakan usaha yang terdiri dari: NPV, Rasio R / C, IRR dan PP. Hasil Penelitian yaitu NPV adalah Rp527.580.791 berarti investasi untuk industri ikan pindang skala rumah tangga di Kabupaten Pati dapat diterima. Rasio R / C yaitu 1,24 artinya layak untuk dijalankan dan dikembangkan. IRR yang dihasilkan adalah 5,11 artinya IRR > tingkat bunga relevan yaitu 5,11% > 4,14% sehingga investasi dikatakan menguntungkan. PP yang dihasilkan adalah 4,8 tahun atau 4 tahun 10 bulan termasuk kategori pengembalian sedang.

TINGKAT KETAHANAN PANGAN PADA RUMAH TANGGA MISKIN DI DAERAH RAWAN BANJIR (Studi di Desa Tanjang dan Desa Kosekan Kecamatan Gabus Kabupaten Pati)

Abstract

ENGLISHFood security is a key issue in the fulfillment of peoples welfare. The condition of food insecurity that can be called vulnerable food is experienced mostly by the poor. Besides economic factors, food insecurity can occur in flood vulnerable area. Objectives of the research are: (1) to analyze the food security level in the poor households; and (2) to analyze the inequality of food security. This quantitative descriptive research was conducted between March and September 2017 in Tanjang village and Kosekan village, Gabus Subdistrict, Pati regency. Sampling size is 89 households consisting of 41 households in Kosekan village and 48 households in Tanjang village. Data analysis: (1) food security with Current Population Survei (CPS) Food Security Suplement and (2) the inequality of food security statistically. Results of the research: (1) the food security index of poor households in Tanjang and Kosekan villages can be categorized as food resistant households; and (2) the level of food inequality of Tanjang and Kosekan villages were similar or not significantly different. INDONESIAKetahanan pangan merupakan isu pokok dalam pemenuhan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kondisi tidak tahan pangan disebut juga rawan pangan banyak dialami oleh golongan masyarakat atau rumah tangga miskin. Selain karena faktor ekonomi, kerawanan pangan dapat terjadi di daerah rawan banjir. Tujuan penelitian : (1) menganalisis tingkat ketahanan pangan rumah tangga miskin; (2) menganalisis ketimpangan ketahanan pangan. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini dilakukan bulan Maret-September 2017 dengan lokasi di Desa Tanjang dan Desa Kosekan Kecamatan Gabus Kabupaten Pati. Jumlah sampel Desa Kosekan 41 KK dan Desa Tanjang 48 KK. Analisis data : (1) ketahanan pangan dengan Current Population Survei (CPS) Food Security Suplement dan (2) ketimpangan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga miskin secara statistik. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) indeks ketahanan pangan rumah tangga miskin di Desa Tanjang dan Desa Kosekan termasuk kategori rumah tangga tahan pangan dan (2) tingkat ketimpangan pangan Desa Tanjang dan Desa Kosekan sama atau tidak berbeda nyata (tidak signifikan).
