Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan model pembelajaran fisika berbasis Malcom’s Modeling Method yang layak digunakan di sekolah, dan (2) mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran fisika berbasis Malcom’s Modeling Method dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam ranah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Prosedur pengembangan mengadaptasi dari prosedur pengembangan yang dikembangkan oleh Borg & Gall dengan langkah-langkah meliputi (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan bentuk awal produk, (4) uji coba lapangan awal, (5) revisi hasil uji coba lapangan awal, (6) uji coba lapangan, (7) revisi hasil uji coba lapangan dan (8) diseminasi. Subjek uji coba lapangan awal terdiri atas 36 siswa kelas X MIA 6 di SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. Subjek uji coba lapangan pada kelas ekperimen terdiri atas 36 orang siswa kelas X MIA 1 dan pada kelas kontrol terdiri atas 34 orang siswa kelas X MIA 5 di SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan soal untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis, angket untuk mengukur motivasi belajar, angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji MANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Malcom’s Modeling Method ditinjau dari sintaks, sistem sosial, prinsip reaksi, sistem pendukung dan dampak instruksional dan pengiring layak digunakan di sekolah dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji MANOVA menunjukkan model Malcom’s Modeling Method dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa pada taraf signifikansi 5 %. Kata Kunci: Malcom’s Modeling Method, keterampilan berpikir kritis, motivasi belajar.   DEVELOPING A PHYSICS INSTRUCTION MODEL BASED ON MALCOLM’S MODELING TO IMPROVE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND LEARNING MOTIVATION Abstract This research aims to (1) develop a physics instruction model based on Malcolm’s modeling method, which is eligible for school and (2) reveal if the physics instruction model based on Malcolm’s modeling method can develop the critical thinking skills and learning motivation of students. This research is research and development (R& D) adapting the developmental procedure of Borg and Gall consisting, of (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, (7) operasional product revision, and (8) disseminating. The subjects of the preliminary field testing were 36 students of class X MIA 6, SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. The subjects of main field testing were 36 students of class X MIA1 as the  experiment class and 34 students of class X MIA 5 as the control class in SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. The data were collected using a test to measure the critical thinking, questionnaires to measure the learning motivation of the students, student response questionnaires and observation sheet. The data were analyzed using MANOVA with the significance level of 5%.The result of this research shows that the physics instruction model based on Malcolm’s modeling method in terms of syntax, social system, principles of reaction, support system, instructio-nal and nurturant effect is eligible for the school which is in a very good category according to the validator. Abstract

Hypertension is a major risk factor causes of death. Hulu village is a village that has the highest number of hypertensive patients in Puskesmas Pancur Batu, Deli Serdang regency. Patients with hypertension in 2014, totalling 44, 2015, amounted to 56 people and in 2016 amounted to 108 people. This study aimed to analyze the influence of knowledge, attitude and family support for the implementation of hypertension diet in the village of Batu Pancur Hulu subdistrict. The study was a cross-sectional study with an explanatory approach. This study was conducted between April and June 2016. The population in the study were all patients with hypertension in the village of Batu Pancur Hulu subdistrict totalled 108 people and the entire population sampled. The data were obtained by questionnaire interviews, analyzed by multiple logistic regression at α = 0.05. The results showed that statistically the knowledge of (diet hypertension, food intake hypertension) and attitudes toward (diet hypertension, dietary diet hypertension) and family support include (support hope, real support, information support, emotional support) a significant effect on the implementation of the diet hypertension in the village of Hulu subdistrict Pancur Stone. Variables knowledge greater impact on the implementation of hypertension diet.ABSTRAKHipertensi merupakan faktor risiko utama penyebab kematian. Desa Hulu adalah desa yang memiliki jumlah penderita hipertensi tertinggi di Puskesmas Pancur Batu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penderita hipertensi pada tahun 2014, berjumlah 44, 2015, berjumlah 56 orang dan pada tahun 2016 berjumlah 108 orang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan, sikap dan dukungan keluarga terhadap pelaksanaan diet hipertensi di desa kecamatan Batu Pancur Hulu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross-sectional dengan pendekatan explanatory. Penelitian ini dilakukan antara bulan April dan Juni 2016 dengan populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien hipertensi di desa kecamatan Batu Pancur Hulu berjumlah 108 orang dan seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara kuesioner, dianalisis dengan regresi logistik ganda pada α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara statistik pengetahuan (hipertensi diet, hipertensi asupan makanan) dan sikap terhadap (hipertensi diet, diet hipertensi diet) dan dukungan keluarga meliputi (dukungan harapan, dukungan nyata, dukungan informasi, dukungan emosional) pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pelaksanaan dari diet hipertensi di desa Hulu kecamatan Batu Pancur. Pengaruh variabel pengetahuan lebih besar pada pelaksanaan diet hipertensi.

Abstract

Curly chili (Capsicum annum L.) is a kind of vegetable commodities which very demand among the Indonesian because of its spicy taste that can be used as a flavoring dishes and has a high economic value. The goal of this study is to determine the effect of bark compost coffee (Coffea robusta) in growing media on the growth and development of plants curly chili (Capsicum annum L.) and severe skin compost coffee (Coffea robusta) which gives the maximum growth of the plant curly chili (Capsicum annum L.). This research is conducted in the Laboratory Science UIN Raden Fatah Palembang by using experimental methods and completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications treatment namely: P0 = Without the addition of compost the coffee (Coffea robusta ) (control), P1= Adding compost the coffee (Coffea robusta) 30 grams, P2= Adding compost the coffee (Coffea robusta) 60 grams , P3 = Addition of compost skin (Coffea robusta) coffee 90 grams. Data are analyzed by F test followed by a test BJND (Difference Distance Real Duncan). The parameters of this study are plant height, number of leaves (pieces), the amount of fruit, and fruit weight. The results show that the addition of compost the coffee (Coffea robusta) 90 grams (treatment P3) gives a very real effect on the growth of plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits, and also fruit weight. The conclusion is compost the coffee (Coffea robusta) gives effect to the addition of compost and bark coffee (Coffea robusta) 90 grams provides maximum growth and development of the plant curly chili (Capsicum annum L.).

Abstract

Fish is one of the animal protein sources consumed by people because it is relatively easy to obtain and affordable. The abundant of the fish needs some ways to preserve it, one of them is by making bekasam. Bekasam is fish fermented product which is procesed with the addition of rice and salt. One of the function of the salt is to select microorganisms that produce proteolytic enzymes.The purpose ofthis study was to know influance of different salt concentrations to ward the quality of fish bekasam.The research was conducted in August 2015 in Chemistry Laboratory of Biology Education Study Program, Teaching Training and Tarbiyah Faculty UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The research method was an experimental laboratoryusing a CRD with 4 treatments and 3 replication. The treatments were salt concentrationK0 (10% b/v), K1 (20% b/v), K2 (30% b/v) and K3 (40% b/v). The test parameters observed were theacidity and hedonic test (color, smell and taste). The parametric data for the acidity was analyzed by ANOVA test, while nonparametric data(hedonic) used the organoleptic test. The results showed that based on ANOVA, the different salt concentration gave a very significant different influance (P=0,01) toward the acidity value, that Fcount> Ftable is 26,16 > 7,59. Based on research result, the acidity of each K0, K1, K2and K3 was 1,13 N, 1,00 N, 1,02 Nand  0,42N.Treatment of 10% salt concentration resulted the highest  acidity 1,13 N.While from hedonic test showed that bekasam with 20%salt concentration was the most preferred

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to (1) improve learning outcomes concept of solubility and solubility product, (2) determine the ability of students to learning affective solubility and solubility product, (3) determine students response to the application of the learning problem solving in learning solubility and solubility product. This study uses classroom action research design, with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subjects were students of class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin, amounting to 24 people. Data collection techniques using achievement test engineering and questionnaires. Data analyzed by percentage. The results showed that the solubility of the learning material and the solubility product of problem solving using learning model to improve learning outcomes of students from 76.83% in the first cycle to 84.26% in the second cycle with an increase of 7.43%. Affective abilities of students included in either category 76.5%. Students response to the learning model of problem solving in learning solubility and solubility product showed a positive response of 85.8%.Keywords : problem solving, solubility and solubility product,learning out comes

Abstract

This research is about ―The Effect of Application Cooperative Learning Model Technique Make a Match Result Studying Biology in MTs ‗Aisyiyah Palembang‖. Based on initial observasion of the result obtained from the value of studying biology teacher that only 40% of students who achieved the minimum completeness 70. This is a problem and need to be treated with the uses of appropriate learning strategies so that these problem can be solved. In this process of learning a lot of communication is expected to occur toward the expected activity and creativity. With that in mind it was attempted to explore the uses of a cooperative learning model technique make a match. Through cooperative learning model is expected to improve students learning outcomes. This research carried on 28 October until 1st November 2013. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students taught with cooperative learning technique make a match. Sampling of this study amounted to 80 people in the class VIIIA and VIIIB class as the subject of MTs ‗Aisyiyah Palembang. Data retrieval result by using the instrument of learning achievement test (24 items). Data analysis using t-test and obtained tcount 3.98 at 5% level and obtained ttable 1.99, then tcount> ttable, so it can be concluded taught using cooperative learning technique make a match have a significant influence on student learning outcomes eighth grade in the subject matter of biology at MTs ‗Aisyiyah.

Abstract

Faktor utama yang menentukan keberhasilan proses pembelajaran adalah metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju Kelas VII. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah The pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII sebanyak 4 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian 2 kelas, pengambilan sampel ini dengan teknik cluster sampling. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar kognitif dengan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash pada materi Gejala Biotik dan Abiotik di MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Selain itu, peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Eksperimen sebesar 2,73, lebih besar dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Kontrol, yaitu 2,34. The main factor that determined the succesful of learning process was learning method. This research aimed to find out the effect of applaying of concept map method by using macromedia flash to improve students’ learning outcomes at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju. The research design was the pretest-postest non equivalent group design. The population of this research were all students at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju as many as 4 classes, and for the sample were only two classes using cluster sampling technique. T-test was used to test the hyphotesis of this research. The research result showed that there was a significant improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes by using concept map method with macromedia flash on Biotic and Abiotic material. It was showed by Ha acceptance and H0 rejection. Beside, the improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes also could be showed by gain score average of Experimental Class at 2.73, it was better than gain score average of Control Class at 2.34.

Abstract

This research was aimed at analyzing the effect of locus of control and emotional quotient on problem solving skills in adolescent of village Percut Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. In 1231 populations of adolescents 16 -18, only 160 sampled respondents and finally as a sample to analyze the hypothesis counted 136 subjects. This is because the 15 questionnaries not return and 9 subjects didn’t fill the questionnaries completely.To analyze the hypothesis about effect of X1 and X2 variable to Y variable we use Multiple Regression analysis.  The effect of X1 and X2 variable on Y variable can be seen from Coefficient Determination (R.Square) = 0,29, indicate that 21,9% of problem solving skills is influenced by locus of control and emotional quotient. The rest, 23,2 % was cause by other variables from out side this research.Coeffient Correlation between X1 variable and  Y variable is 0,388. Score of r is bigger than r table, show that significant and positive influences are 0,388 between locus of control and problem solvings skills. Coeffient Correlation between X2 variable and  Y variable is 0,427, bigger than r table too in significancy level 5%,  that significant and positive effect between emotional quotient and problem solvings skills. r table to N=136 on believing interval 95% or significancy level 5% is 0,159. Selain itu, peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Eksperimen sebesar 2,73, lebih besar dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Kontrol, yaitu 2,34. Students’ learning outcomes were still relatively low at Celluler Biology Subject because the implementation process of learning was centered on lecturer and stundents found it difficult to understand the subject material. This study aimed to determine the application of learning journal as a tool in the effort to increase students understanding of Celluler Biology concept. The study was conducted at 53 second semester stundents (26 students for class 2A and 27 students for class 2B) of Biology Education Program Study of PGRI Teachers Training College, Madiun. The study was conducted during three meetings for KD 1-3 (Kompetensi Dasar=Basic Competence) of Celluler Biology Subject. The collected data were the implemented STAD data, the learning journal data and the concept understanding data. The concept understanding data were obtained by giving the quiz questions at the end of learning. The study result showed that the learning with implementation of learning journal increased from first meeting at 13.32 became 13.42 at meeting II and III, and there was the increase of quiz value from each KD on both medium and low categories.
