Abstract

Abstract: Knowledge, PKK Plants, Drugs For Gout. The purpose of this study was to determine how the PKK knowledge about the use of herbs for uric acid in the village of Klaten Danguran South. This research is quantitative descriptive study, with cross sectional approach to the subject of this study is the PKK of 50 samples. Measuring tool used is a questionnaire. The results showed that the PKK knowledge about the use of herbs for uric acid in the village of Klaten Danguran South included in the category enough by 52%, both by 38%, and 10% less category. Abstract

Abstract: essential Oils, cymbopogon sweet quality simplisia. Essential Oil is volatile oil or oil fly thatgenerally tangible balance, from the plant roots, skin, stem, leaves, fruits, grains, as well as from theflower in a way destilasi. Plant that contains essential oils and the potential to be developed is plantscymbopogon nardus sweet (Andropogon Linn.). Essential Oil from herbs cymbopogon sweet, in a waypengepresan. In addition, oil prices volatile herbs clean citronella stick sweet, with the destilasi water.The aim of the research is to identify and know quality control essential oils cymbopogon fragrant herbsdry method destilasi with water. Research method used is descriptive method with sample as many as300 grams. The data obtained from the analysis quality parameters simplisia (the level of water),identification essential oil in general, and analysis parameter quality essential oil (yield (chemistry),trial organoleptik, and the weight of). Results parameter simplisia cymbopogon herbs perfume, the levelof water 6%; isolation result essential oil from 300 grams samples cymbopogon herbs fragrant dried upby 2.16 ml with yield (chemistry) essential oil herbs cymbopogon fragrant dried up to 0.72 percent v/b;identification result essential oil in general in herbs contains essential oils cymbopogon fragrant; theweight of essential oils cymbopogon fragrant dried herbs of 0.878 gr/m.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Biji dan kulit petai mengandung flavonoid yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui potensi antioksidan ekstrak etil asetat pada biji dan kulit petai yang dinyatakan dengan Inhibitor  Consentration  50  (IC50).  Pengujian  aktivitas  antioksidan  menggunakan  metode  DPPH (1,1-Difenil-2-Pikrilhidrazil) secara spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 518 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etil asetat biji petai mempunyai potensi aktivitas antioksidan lemah dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 274,702 ppm sedangkan ekstrak etil asetat kulit petai aktivitas antioksidannya tidak aktif dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 685, 857 ppm. Aktivitas antioksidan pada biji petai disebabkan adanya antioksidan enzimatis sehingga tidak dapat terdeteksi dengan metode DPPH dan kandungan utamanya protein, karbohidrat, mineral,asam amino yang cukup tinggi. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etil asetat kulit petai menunjukkan tidak aktif, karena senyawa aktif yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan tidak larut dalam pelarut etil asetat. Aktivitas antioksidan yang tidak terdapat pada kulit petai disebabkan kandungan utamanya yaitu pati dan serat. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah ekstrak etil asetat biji petai memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, sedangkan ekstrak etil asetat kulit petai tidak memiliki aktivitas antioksidan.   Kata kunci: biji petai, kulit petai, antioksidan, DPPH, IC50     ABSTRACT Petai seeds and petai shell are contain flavonoids that act as antioxidants. The purpose of research is to know the potential of the ethyl acetate extract antioxidant in seeds and petaishell expressed by Inhibitor consentration 50 (IC50). Testing of antioxidant activity using DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 518 nm. The results showed the ethyl acetate extract petai seeds have potential antioxidant activity weak with IC50 value of 274.702 ppm while the ethyl acetate extract of petai shell antioxidant activity is not active with IC50 values of 685, 857 ppm. Antioxidant activity in seeds due to their antioxidant enzymatic petai so it can not be detected by DPPH and the main content of protein, carbohydrates, minerals, amino acids are quite high. The antioxidant activity of ethyl acetate extracts of petai shell showed inactive , because the active compounds that function as antioxidants are not soluble in ethyl acetate solvent. The antioxidant activity which is not present in petai shell due to the content of its main substance are starch and fiber. Conclusion of the study is the ethyl acetate extract petai beans have antioxidant activity, while the ethyl acetate extract of petai shell does not have antioxidant activity.   Keywords: petai seeds, petai shell, antioxidant, DPPH, IC50

Abstract

Abstract: Jamu Instant Powder, Dragon Fruit Super Red, Stevia, Physical Test, Antioxidant, Hedonic. Dragon fruit super red has antioxidant activity, so dragon fruit super red formulated in jamu instant powder dosage form because can be usefull to society without brewing before with natural sweetener stevia leaf. The aim of this research to know formulation jamu instant powder dosage form antioxidant dragon fruit super red with natural sweetener stevia leaf and hedonic test and test of antioxidant activity. This study was descriptive study and laboratory design. The evaluation included physical test is water content, flowability time, angel of repose, uniformity of weight, organoleptic dan pH; antioxidant activity with IC50 parameters, hedonic measurement with hedonic scale. The result showed physical test jamu instant powder included water content 1,85%; flowability time 35,97 second; angel of repose 37,34°, uniformity of weight 1,01775 gram, organoleptic is purplish red of colour, unpleasant odour, soft of textur dan sweet of taste; and result of pH 4,47. The result measurement antioxidant activity had coverage categories antioxidant activity with IC50 at 132,125 ppm. Hedonic test results of colour indicators 63,3% of respondents are very like, from the colour indicators 46,7% of the respondents are did not like, from the taste indicators 46,7% of the respondent are like, while texture indicators 50% are like.Keywords : Jamu Instant Powder, Dragon Fruit Super Red, Stevia, Physical Test,Antioxidant, Hedonic

Abstract

Abstract: Wedang Sappanwood, Physical Stability, Stability of Antioxidant, Test Hedonik, Low in Calories. Wedang sappanwood is a traditional drink of Indonesia, especially from the region of Central Java, which is made from the wood of caesalpinia sappan (Sappan L caesalpia) which gives a fresh red color like wine (wine). In addition to wood, sappanwood in wedang sappanwood also there are other spices that serves as a flavor enhancer. Empirically wedang sappanwood can be efficacious for preventing and minimizing the occurrence of degenerative disease through its activity as antioxidant and lowering blood sugar so that the necessary development of other caesalpiniasappan became preparations down ready low-calorie drink that is safe for diabetics. This research aims to develop preparations Wedang Sappanwood As low-calorie Beverages in view of physical stability, stability of antioxidant and consumer acceptance (test hedonik). Test results on hedonik parameter that gets the highest value is the color of the material, then followed its homogeneity, the aroma, viscosity, and most smaller parameter flavor. The physical test result wedang sappanwood in Weeks 0 through Sunday XII shows the results organoleptc the smell of stale spices, brown color, liquid form, there are deposits of liquid, viscosity 1 cp, and pH of 4.23. Test results on hedonik parameter that gets the highest value is the color of the material, then followed its homogeneity, the aroma, viscosity, and most small parameter flavor. Abstract

Abstract: Physical Stability, Hedonic, Syrup, Tumeric Tamarind. Tumeric have a benefit as antiinflammation so can be improved in the syrup formula. This research aimed to describe the result physical stability and hedonic test of the tumeric tamarind sirup with differences temperature storing for phormula I was saving in 50C and phormula II was saving in 350C for 24 hours as many 14 cyclic. It was experimental research. This research was done by testing physical stability of the tumeric tamarind sirup include to organoleptic, pH, homogenity and pour time test and also hedonic test. The result research: organoleptic test were no change for two weeks with brownish yellow colour, smell test is tumeric tamarind, flavor test is sweet and tamarind and texture is solid. pH test is stable at 4, homogenity test is stable homogen and pour time test is phormula I was storing in 50C is 8,14 second and 7,84 second, phormula II was storing in 350C is 5,04 second and 4,14 second for 24 hour  as many 14 cyclic. Hedonic test was showed result for first week at temperature 50C is 40% of respondents are very like, 40% of respondents are like and 20% of respondents are dislike, at temperature 35°C is 40% of respondents are very like and 60% of respondents are like. While for second week at temperature 50C is 60% of respondents are very like and 40% of respondents are like, at temperature 35°C is 80% of respondents are very like and 20% of respondents are like. Keyword : Physical Stability, Hedonic, Syrup, Tumeric Tamarind

Abstract

Absctract : Antiseptic Activity, Kemangi Leaf- Cytrus Hystrix Leather, Gel Antiseptic (Hand Sanitizer). It is known kemangi leaf had contained saponins, flavonoids and tannins that benefit as antibacterial, while in research by Susanti, 2010 had proven that leather of Citrus hystrix contained essential oil as antibacterial and used as antiseptic in pharmaceutical case. So, to get the optimal formula as hand sanitizer or antiseptic gels used combination two extracts kemangi leaf and Citrus hystrix leather. This research is an experimental research with Post Test Control Group Design to analyze antiseptic activity using the Replica methods with to account the number of colonies of microorganism. Statistic test to the number of colonies of microorganism with Anova Test one way that confidence level 95% and obtained significance 0,000 the result P < 0,05 and continued to Tukey HSD test that confidence level 95%. The result statistic tes showed that have significan differences between negative control with the formula of gel antiseptic combination extract of kemangi leaf and extract Cytrus hystrix leather, so this formula have activity as antiseptic. Abstract

Abstrack : Physical Characteristic, Qualitative Terpenoid Experiment, Lotion, Lime Leaves. Lime leaves (Citrus hystrix DC.) contain active tannin compounds, steroid, terpenoid, and volatile oil which be formulated into repellent lotion. The aim of this research was to find out the physical testdosage form extract lotion of lime leaves covering organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, dispersive power and adhesion, and also qualitative testing to find out the compounds content of terpenoid dosage form extract lotion of lime leaves. Methodology of this research used descriptive observational study by observes then describe about physical characteristic. The result of qualitative test terpenoid compound form extract lotion of lime leaves presented in narration and table. The result of this research was organoleptic experiment that showed if dosage form extract lotion of lime leaves have viscous and semi-solid, green color, fragrant smell typical of lime leaves. Homogeneity form was less homogeneous because there is still a little green particle. pHdosage form got the result for 6,27. Viscosity dosage form got the result for 4500 cp (centipoise). Dispersive power dosage form got the result for 6,6 cm. Adhesion got the result for 1,28 second and the result of qualitative experiment showed positive result and contains terpenoid with sorrel color. The conclusion from this research was the result from physical experiment dosageform extract lotion of lime leaves got appropriate with standard except homogeneity experiment and qualitative experiment of terpenoid compounds got the positive result contains terpenoid. Keywords: Physical Characteristic, Qualitative Terpenoid Experiment, Lotion, Lime Leaves.

Abstract

Background : Corn cobs have the potential to protect the skin, so far the research has only been limited to testing the extracts and has not been formed in a cosmetic preparation. Gel is a cosmetic preparation that is ideal for sunscreens because it is less oily, not sticky, soft, elegant, can form a layer of film that adheres well and protects the skin, and evaporation of water content creates a soothing and pleasant effect. Method: The method is used to determine the physical appearance of the gel with organoleptic parameters, homogeneity, dispersion and absorbency. Result: The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the physical test of sunscreen gel preparations from corn cobs extract (Zea mays L). Conclusion: The physical test results from the sunscreen gel extract of corn cobs extract (Zay Mays L.) had the results of organoleptic test, homogeneity test, spreadability test and adherence to the standard. Keyword: Physical Test, Sunscreen Gel, Corn Cob

Abstract

Introduction: Andrographis paniculata had known contained active substance such as andrographolida, atsiri oil, flavonoid, tannin, alkaloid, and saponin which functions as antibacterial, antitoxic, analgesic, and anti-pyretic. Based on its antibacterial properties, an ointment form of Andrographis paniculata leaf is then formulated, for practical usage. Ointment formula is semi solid for topical use in the skin or mucosal membranes. Objectives: to know the result of ointment physical test of etanolic extract Andrographis paniculata leaf. Methods: physical tests contain organoleptic test, pH, homogenity, adhesion test and dispersive test. Results: Ointment shaped semi solid, blacky green and special smell of Andrographis paniculata, pH 6, homogenity test obtained homogenous results, adhesion test was 82 second and dispersive test was 5.6 cm. Conclusion: the result of physical tests of etanolic Andrographis paniculata leaf extract ointment appropriate with quality standard.
