Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the teacher’s pedagogical competence in lesson planning, learning process, and in improving students’ motivation. To achieve these objectives, this study used descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interview, observation, and documentation. The procedures of data analysis were data reduction data display and data verification. The subjects of this study were the principal, vice-principals and teachers. The results showed that: (1) the teachers’ pedagogical competence in lesson planning was done by preparing a lesson plan draft, but some teachers did not bring the lesson plan during the learning process so that the learning objectives were not maximally achieved; (2) the teachers’ pedagogical competence in the learning process was done by comprehending and solidifying the understanding on a number of learning materials contained in textbooks. Whereas in the learning process, there were for classroom management and undisciplined use of time: and (3) the teachers’ pedagogical competence in improving student motivation was done by providing opportunities for students to be actively involved in the use of information and coomunication technology facilities in the achievementof learning goals, communicating effectively with learners, and conducting reflectieve action to improve the quality of learning.Keywords: Pedagogical competence and learning motivationAbstrak: Peneli­tian ini bertujuan untuk kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran, dan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data adalah reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi. Sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam perencanaan pembelajaran dilakukan dengan membuat draft RPP, namun sebagian guru tidak membawa RPP pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung sehingga tujuan pembelajaran tidak tercapai secara maksimal; (2) Kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam proses pembelajaran dilakukan dengan mendalami dan memantapkan sejumlah materi pembelajaran sebagaimana terdapat dalam buku paket, adapun dalam proses pembelajaran terdapat pengelolaan kelas yang kurang baik dan pemanfaatan waktu yang kurang disiplin; dan (3) Kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dilakukan dengan memberi kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk terlibat aktif dalam menggunakan fasilitas teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran, berkomunikasi secara efektif dengan peserta didik, dan melakukan tindakan reflektif untuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran.Kata kunci : Kompetensi Pedagogik dan Motivasi Belajar.

Abstract

In general, within a household, almost every day do several Activities or movements. Going to work is an activity that most frequently performed within households. The activity can support or meet the needs of the household life. In this study, worker trip generation is modeled based on the aggregation of household's income level. Firstly, household income is divided into two categories namely low income (≤ IDR 5 million) and high income (> IDR 5 million). This study aims to formulate the differences in utility faction, the trip probability, and factors that influencing work trip activities. The data were collected within four sub-districts located in Banda Aceh province such as Jaya Baru, Banda Raya, Lueng Bata and Kuta Raja. About 400 questionnaire survey is collected and used for this study. The binomial logit model is applied to model worker trip activities, and parameters estimation is determined using SPSS. The empirical result from the analysis shows us that for a model of worker trip generation by low income is obtained the utility difference value is 0,314, probability value 55% and 45% for trip < 4 and ≥ 4, respectively. The factors that are influence the model is the number of car ownership, family members, family members who have not attended school and destination location.Furthermore, the model of worker trip generation based for high-income household was obtained utility difference value is 0,867, a probability value is 67% and 33% for trip < 4 and ≥ 4, respectively. The factors that influenced the model are the number of motorcycle ownership, family members who attended school, family members who have not attended school, family members who work, the age of respondent, and activity duration.
