Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui fraksi serat dan protein kasar jerami jagung yang diinokulasi fungi Trichoderma sp. dan RAC. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. P1: Jerami jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. + 1% RAC ; P2: Jerami jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. + 2% RAC ; P3: Jerami jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. + 3% RAC ; P4: Jerami jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. + 4% RAC ; P5: Jerami jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. + 5% RAC. Sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa jerami jagung yang diinokulasi fungi Trichoderma sp. dan RAC berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap NDF, ADF dan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0.05) terhadap kandungan protein kasar. Disimpulkan bahwa level pemberian RAC 3% pada jerami jagung yang diinokulasi fungi Trichoderma sp. dapat menurunkan NDF, ADF dan ada kecenderungan meningkatkan kandungan protein kasar.

Abstract

Nutritive value of mixed cattle feces with several levels coconut residues fermented by EM4.  This experiment used a completely randomized design of 4 treatment levels coconut waste (0, 10%, 20% and 30%), with 4 replicates in each treatment. All of treatments added 0.3% EM4  was activated and fermented semiaerob during 4 days. Physically the fermentation process were indicating a good process.  As a whole it can be concluded that increasing  of coconut residues levels up to 30% resulted in increasing estrac eter, while the contents of  crude fiber and crude protein  reduced significanly.

Abstract

Urea Molasses Minerals Liquid (UMML) may be a precursor of rumen biofermentation. UMML can provide slow-release nitrogen, minerals and readily available carbohydrate (RAC), but require special studies, especially in determining the type and preparation of constituent materials, especially the provision of water-soluble phosphate minerals. The purpose of this study is to produce a formula of UMML then be used as a precursor of rumen biofermentation. Some of the treatment of super phosphate (SP36) was performed to obtain a preparation method produces dissolved  phosphate  concentrations  are high. Preparation  that  the  highest levels of dissolved phosphate is mixed of super phosphate, organic acids and urea solution, then boiled for 5 minutes. Urea Mineral Molasses liqiud mixed from materials Ca(urea)4Cl2 phosphate solution, saturated NaCl solution and molasses.

Abstract

Buffalo is one of the potential livestocks to be developed to support of the achievement of meat self sufficiency program in 2014. Buffalo population in South Sulawesi was 130,100 head in 2010 and 96,500 head in 2011 or decreased about 25.83%.  Buffalo population in Indonesia was 1,999,500 head in 2010 and 1,304,900 head in 2011, or population decreased about 34.74%. Cause of the population decrease was slaughter of productive females but also a relatively long reproductive period.  Factors supporting the development of buffaloes in South Sulawesi was abundant feed resources, especially from food crop by-product, feed technology, human resources and high market potential (meat and ceremonies).

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan protein,  serat kasar dan BETN tongkol jagung yang diinokulasi Trichoderma sp. pada lama inkubasi yang berbeda. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah RAL 4 x 4 terdiri dari  Po : Tongkol jagung tanpa perlakuan (kontrol); P1 : Tongkol jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. diinkubasi satu minggu; P2 Tongkol jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. diinkubasi dua minggu; P3 : Tongkol jagung + 5% Trichoderma sp. diinkubasi tiga minggu.  Sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa tongkol jagung yang diinokulasi Trichoderma sp. pada lama inkubasi yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap kandungan protein dan serat kasar  Disimpulkan bahwa inkubasi yang terbaik selama dua minggu.

Abstract

Nilai nutrisi campuran feses sapi  dan beberapa level ampas kelapa yang difermentasi dengan EM4. Penelitian disusun berdasarkan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan level ampas kelapa (0, 10%, 20% dan 30%),  masing-masing perlakuan diulang 4 kali.  Semua perlakuan ditambahkan EM4 0.3% yang telah diaktifkan dan difermentasi semi aerob selama 4 hari.           Hasil sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa campuran feses sapi dan beberapa level ampas kelapa yang difermentasi dengan EM4 berpengaruh sangat nyata (P < 0.01) terhadap kandungan protein kasar, serat kasar, lemak kasar, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap BETN. Disimpulkan bahwa proses fermentasi dengan EM4 campuran feses sapi dan beberapa level ampas kelapa secara umum berlangsung baik. Semakin tinggi level ampas kelapa dalam campuran  feses sapi yang difermentasi dengan EM 4 menurunkan kandungan serat kasar dan protein kasar, meningkatkan kandungan  lemak kasar dan ada kecenderungan meningkatkan BETN. Kata kunci : Feses sapi, ampas kelapa, fermentasi, EM4
