Abstract

HTB (Hierarchical Token Bucket) bandwidth management implementation on Jenderal Soedirman University is an improvement from PCQ (Per Connection Queue) bandwidth management. PCQ divide traffic automatically based on active users, its weakness is in dividing a large amount of active users. The HTB impelentation refers to Mikrotik RouterOS queue tree, consists of class and parent that is filled by outgoing-interface. Each parent is adjusted based on IP adress block on each node, and determine packet-mark through IP-firewall-mangle. From the implementation result, 2 Global-total or main parent can be obtained, Unsoed down and Unsoed up. 29 Global-in or parent child down and 29 Global-out or parent child up which each parent max-limit is determined by 17,5 Mbps. The users satisfaction based independent sample t-test give the mean value of HTB browsing is 2,823 and PCQ browsing is 2,79. The mean value of HTB downloading is 2,616 and PCQ downloading is 2,636. Those values show that theres no significant differences in Unsoed internet users satisfaction.Keywords : Implementation of bandwidth, Mikrotik RouterOS, queue, parent.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini memungkinkan untuk menggabungkan layanan telepon suara pada jaringan internet melalui teknologi Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Pada sistem sistem VoIP diperlukan sebuah server IP PBX yang bertindak selaku sentral telepon. Penggabungan layanan ini membuka peluang aplikasi pada skala kecil. Dengan semakin banyaknya sistem on chip (SoC) yang dikembangkan, maka pembangunan server IP PBX yang murah menjadi sangat mungkin. Pada makalah ini akan dibahas bagaimana unjutk kerja Cubieboard (sebuah komputer mini dengan SoC) sebagai sebuah IP PBX dengan menggunakan OS Cubian dan perangkat lunak asterisk. Pengujian dilakukan dengan mengukur parameter delay, jitter, packet loss, CPU usage, memory usage serta parameter subyektif MOS. Dari hasil percobaan berturut-turut hasil yang diperoleh untuk setiap parameter tersebut adalah 0,9022 ms, 0,128 ms, 0,02%, 4,6%, 1,725%, dan 5.Kata kunci: cubieboard, asterisk, VoIP QOS.

Abstract

Multimedia technology has changed rapidly. How to get a small audio file with the high quality that still equal to the real quality is became the common issue in the sound compression world. Because the human ears cant hear all of sound component, its allowed to compress an audio data using lossy method. A new lossy method to compress an audio data is Ogg Vorbis. This method has its own psychoacoustic model that made this method has the better sound quality if compared to the popular codec Mp3.

Abstract

UNSOED has LAN connection which covers almost all of its units, with minimum bandwidth consupmtionat anaverage of275,318 Kbpsfrom a total of 3 Mbpsso we may apply VoIP system in order to replace voice communication system whichis still using PSTN and PABX. Thereforewe need to know aboutjitter and packet loss ofLAN,and also the codec needs tobedetermined due to voice quality expected and also bandwidth consumpted. Measurementscarried out in two scenariosbased on topologies used in UNSOED (star and ring), in the first scenario (star and ring)server placed on serverfarm meanwhile the second scenario(ring) server placed on Pertanian node. Codec adjusted to the available bandwidth capacity and total of phone number that has to handled. The result show that 0,759 ms jitter obtained from scenario 1 and 0,513ms from scenario 2, both of them included in good category with 0-20 ms of range value, otherwise 0% of packetloss obtained from both scenarios these indicated that LANincluded in good category. There is iLBCcodec with 30 ms packet size which is the mosteconomic on bandwidthcost among G.729, G.711, and iLBC (20 ms), because it cost1995,84Kbpsof total bandwidth usedforhandling 140 phone number. Beside that, it has good voice quality with 4,138996 MOS value. So if we use iLBC (30 ms) codec on the VoIPsystem, there will be still a lot of free bandwidth which can used for other applications, it is about 695,873 Kbps(worst condition) and also get a good-voice quality-VoIP.

Abstract

Data transfer speed on GPRS’s technology isaffected by the present of some obstacles between sender’s side and recipient’s side. Those obstacles cause propagation loss that affect the reduction of power level value (rx level). The reduction will affect the data speed. The lower rx level’s value means the lower dataspeed. This researchwas done by doing drive test on BTS North Purwokerto and BTS Tambaksogra to measure the amount of power measured (Pr) andthe download data speed on GPRS’s network. The measuredpower level (Pr) was normalized to get rx level value. Regression analysis was done to get the relation between the download speed and the rx level value. Theanalysis has resulted in a model: download speed = 4.1 (rx level) 0.459 , with R^2 = 0.380. Correlation analysis shows high correlationbetween rx level and download speed (r = 0.608).

Abstract

Automatic reading techniques of handwriting being developed. Computerization of Java script has started to be developed. However, there is no automated reader system for documents written in handwriting Java script. This research applies backpropagation neural network for recignition of handwritten java script. Preprosesing patterns done with Java script normalize the image size to be 40x40 pixels then feature extraction. Performance network training is 99.8% and performance examination is 95.81%.

Abstract

Feature extraction is one of the most improtant step on characters recognition system. Transition features is one from many features used on characters recognition system. This paper report a research on handwritten basic Jawanesse characters recognition system to found the proper numbers of transitions used on transition features. To recognize the characters,the Multiclass Support Vector Machines were used. The Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) SVM were used for multiclass classification strategy and to map each input vector to a higher dimention space, the Gaussian Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel with parameter 1were used. It can be shown, for basicJawanesse characters recognition system, the optimal numbers of transitions used for transition features is 4 (a half of maximum numbers of transition on all patterns).

Abstract

Support Vector Machines (SVM) is one of many classification methods implemented on pattern recognition, including handwritten character recognition system. Numbers of traning set will affect the performance of the recognition system. A basic Jawanessehandwritten character recognition system based on SVM used to show the effect of training set numbers variation on system performance. The experiment result indicating that SVM has good generalization on limiting training set (on a data set, 30% data used for training set can give more than 90% success rate on all data set).

Abstract

Handwriting number recognition was being challenge problem to do in the recent years. The main objective for our research waso recognized handwritten account number. The original data was bank deposit slip that acquired by scanner. Before do the recognition of account number handwritten, first step that must be done was located account number on the bank deposit slip. After the location was found then the account number was segmented to cut up each numbern. After cutting the stem then performed feature extraction to obtain a vector which was fed to the neural network system for recognition rate. System back propagation neural network for handwritten digit pattern recognition was designed by 168neuron consists of input layer, 70 neurons in the hidden layer and 10 neurons in the output layer. The results obtained in this study were 83.78% of the data slip can be recognized correctly.

Abstract

The development of new sites by telecommunication network operator, especially GSM network, purposes for more increase performance and give satisfy for consument. Performance of a site is most affecting for value of network quality totally. New site builded must be monitorized and optimized by its existing in order to can be more realible on serving society with the method that was mentioned “initial tuning activity”. On this method must be concerned some matter as like: application of accurate frequency for avoiding interference problem, creating neighbour relationship between ex isting site and new site, detection for faulth installation for arranging re-use frequency concept, setting accurate coverage, olso changing tilt angle for accurate main beam area. This arrangement must be conditioned on a new site that still “default”, so it can improve quality. On operator side, they have some criteria that must be passed by a new site. Initial tuning activity on Site Simpang RGM had been proved on passing  that site from recommended criteria, olso being totally indicated more increase pe rformance of network
