Abstract

The research to determine the effect of Azolla pinnata dry weight and nitrogen-fixing endophytic bacteria on the chemical properties of soil and plants and the growth of corn plants on Inseptisols from Jatinangor. This experiment was carried out in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor, West Java. The experiment design was Randomized Block Design (RDB) in factorial pattern consisted of two factors and three replications. The first factor was dosage of Azolla pinnata compost consisted of four levels (0 g pot-1, 12.5 g pot-1, 25 g pot-1, 37.5 g pot-1). The second factor was nitrogen-fixing endophytic bacteriaconsisted three levels: without nitrogen-fixing endophytic bacteria, just used nitrogen-fixing endophytic bacteria Acinetobacter sp., used nitrogen-fixing endophytic bacteria Pseudomonas sp. The results showed that there were interactions between Azolla pinnata and N2-fixing endophytic bacteria on N concentration and N uptake of corn plants. Applicaton Azolla pinnata compost with a dosage of 37.5 g pot-1 equivalent to 6 tons ha-1 can produce the highest dry weight of corn plants. Both nitrogen-fixing endophytic bacteria and azolla compost have not been able to increase the total N of Jatinangor Insepticols.Keywords: Azolla pinnata, nitrogen-fixing endophytic bacteria, Acinetobacter sp.,   Pseudomonas sp., corn plant

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the interaction of organic fertilizer, NPK with BPF on Ultisols of the organic carbon, total nitrogen, N uptake, and result of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt). The research was conducted from June to September 2013 at the Experimental Ciparanje, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang, West Java elavated at 724 meters above sea level. The experimental design used was Randomized Block Design (RAK) arranged in factorial pattern with 14 treatments and three replicates. The first factor is organic and NPK fertilizers (P) consisting of seven levels : without organic fertilizer and NPK; POPG + ½ dose of NPK; POPG + 1 dose of NPK: Compost + ½ dose of NPK; Compost + 1 dose of NPK; Manure + ½ dose of NPK; Manure + 1 dose of NPK. The second factor is the Solvent of phosphoric Bacteria (B) consisting of two levels : without the BPF and BPF 10 mL The results of experiment showed that there was not interaction effect between different called organic fertilizer and NPK with BPF of organic carbon, total nitrogen, plant uptake of N, and results of sweet corn. Independently organic fertilizer, NPK gave significant effect on organic carbon, total nitrogen, plant uptake of N, results of sweet corn and BPF was significant effect of organic carbon and plant uptake of N but has not siginificant effect of total nitrogen and results sweet corn. Treatment POPG with 1 dose of NPK shows the best formulations can improve results of sweet corn on Ultisols Jatinangor, that is 249,17 g plant-1 or 9 t ha-1.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat pada Kelompok Wanita Tani dalam Pembuatan dan Pegelolaan Pupuk Organik Berbasis Pemanfaatan Potensi Sumber Daya Lokal di desa Cibiru Wetan dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memecahkan masalah yang ada di Desa tersebut; 1) agar mengerti dan memahami serta menerapkan beberapa metode pembuatan pupuk organik. 2) Selain itu diharapkan Kelompok Wanita Tani mampu menerapkan hasil pupuk organik yang telah dibuat pada tanaman konsumsi dan tanaman yang diusahakan pada daerah tersebut dengan harapan menambah peningkatan produktifitas baik secara agronomi maupun ekonomi.Metode yang dilakukan adalah mengenai proses pembuatan kompos, pupuk cair organik dari urine ternak dan Mikoorganimse Lokal (MOL). Untuk mewujudkan tujuan tersebut beberapa langkah yang dilakukan adalah; 1) memberikan pelatihan pada Kegiatan Penyuluhan, tanya jawab dan diskusi dan bimbingan tentang cara pembuatan pupuk kompos, pupuk organik cair dari fermentasi urine (sapi, kerbau dan kambing) dan MOL meliputi pengertian tentang pupuk organik, manfaatnya bagi tanah dan tanaman, bahan-bahan yang bisa digunakan serta pemanfaatannya bagi beberapa komoditas tanaman pangan dan hortikultura (sayuran). 2) memberikan pelatihan dengan praktek langsung pembuatan kompos padat dan pupuk cair/MOL Kelompok Wanita Tani.Target Luaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat pada kelompok wanita tani  di Desa Cibiru Wetan  adalah ; Terciptanya  metode pembuatan pupuk organik cair dari urin sapi dan dari bahan setempat. Kegiatan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan sarana promosi Mitra yang nantinya diharapkan dapat diikuti oleh masyarakat dalam meningkatkan produktifitas tanamannya melaluhi penerapan pupuk organik.Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan ; 1). Meningkatnya partisipasi anggota kelompok wanita tani “Kudangdaunan” mencapai 75%  dalam kegiatan ini. 2) anggota kelompok wanita tani “Kudangdaunan” menerapkan POC pada tanaman konsumsi dan tanaman rimpang seperti jahe 3). Anggota kelompok tani (mencapai 70 %) juga Trampil dalam pembuatan Pupuk cair berbasis Urine dan  Mikroorganisme lokal (MOL).

Abstract

Availability of nutrients in the soil greatly affect the condition of plants' growth and development. Fertilization is one of the exact ways to increase nutrients in the soil. Usage of inorganic fertilizer intensively and routinely can decrease soil fertility level and create residual that will damage to the environment. This research aims to determine the effect of fertilizer dose combination of N, P, K, and Biofertilizer to uptake N, P and K on sweet corns (Zea mays Saccharata Sturt) in Fluventic Eutrudepts from Jatinangor. Dose combination was expected can reduce fertilizer dose N, P, K without decreasing productivity and crop yields. This research was performed from January until April 2018 at Experimental Field Faculty of Agriculture, Padjajaran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang, West Java at 725 m asl. Experimental design used in this research is Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 10 treatments and 3 replications which consist of treatments 0 N, P, K + 0 biofertilizer; 1 N, P, K + 0 biofertilizer; 0 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 1/4 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 1/2 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 3/4N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 1 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 3/4 N, P, K + 1/4 biofertilizer; 3/4 N, P, K + 1/2 PHC; 3/4 N, P, K + 3/4 biofertilizer. Recommended dosage was 300 kg of urea, 150 kg of SP 36, and 50 kg KCl ha-1 and 5 L ha-1 biofertilizer. The results showed a significant effect of the combination N, P, K fertilizer and biofertilizer to uptake N, P, K, and best dose combination was showed by treatment 1/2 N P K + 1 biofertilizer

Abstract

Organomineral merupakan produk yang berasal dari bahan organik dan mineral yang dapat menambah nutrisi bagi tanaman.Kombinasi organomineral ini dapat meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara P dan K melalui penglepasan ikatan Fe serta meningkatkan kadar C-organik dalam tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kombinasi organomineral (Asam Humat, Zeolit, Dolomit, dan Fosfat Alam) terhadap C-organik, P dan K-tersedia serta hasil kedelai yang ditanam pada Ultisols asal Jatinangor. Percobaan ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2017 sampai Januari 2018 di Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje, Jatinangor dan Laboratorium Kesuburan Tanah dan Nutrisi Tanaman Departemen Ilmu Tanah dan Sumberdaya Lahan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari sepuluh kombinasi perlakuan dengan tiga kali ulangan, yaitu Asam Humat (6; 8; 10 kg.ha-1); Zeolit (150; 200; 250 kg.ha-1); Dolomit (100; 150; 200 kg.ha-1); dan Fosfat Alam (250; 300; 350 kg.ha-1) dengan uji lanjut Duncan pada taraf 5%. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat kombinasi perlakuan terbaik, akan tetapi kecenderungan perlakuanJ (kombinasi Asam Humat 10kg.ha-1+ Zeolit 250 kg.ha-1+ Dolomit 200 kg.ha-1 +Fosfat Alam 350 kg.ha-1) berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan P dan K-tersedia serta bobot kering biji kedelai pertanaman, tetapi tidak terhadap C-organik. Kata Kunci: Asam humat, Dolomit, Fosfat alam, Zeolit

Abstract

Balanced fertilizing is a site-specific nutrient management concept that takes into consideration the ability of soils to provide nutrients naturally and nutrient recovery previously uptaked by plants. The concept is a response to the various negative impacts caused by intensive and continuous inorganic fertilizing. This study aims to determine the combinantion of N, P, K fertilizer with Granular Organic Fertilizer (POG) that can give the best effect on available phosphate in soil, nutrient uptake and the growth of maize (Zea Mays L.)in Typic Eutrudept. The research used rendomized block design (RBD) with ten treatments and three replications. The results showed combination of ½ N, P, K + 1 POG gave significant effect to increase available-P and nutrient uptake of maize (Zea Mays L.). Keywords: Granular Organic Fertilizer, Maize, Nutrient Uptake, Typic Eutrudept.

Abstract

The use of organic materials and minerals as fertilizer needs to be developed in order to increase agricultural productivity, especially in soils marginal that are widely distributed on the Indonesian. This study aims to determine the productivity of soil and corn plants by using various formulations of organo-mineral materials in the Ultisols Jatinangor. The experiment was conducted from April to November 2017 at Ciparanje Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, using a simple randomized block design consisting of 10 treatments and replicated 3 times. The organo-mineral ingredients used consist of a combination of Humic Acid (6; 8; 10 kg/ha); Dolomites (100; 150; 200 kg/ha); Natural Phosphates (250; 300; 350 kg/ha); also Zeolites (150; 200; 250 kg/ha). The results showed that ameliorant combination had significant effects on soil pH, P-available, and Mn Total, also the yield of maize. Dosage of 8 kg/ha of Humid Acids + 200 kg/ha of Dolomites + 350 kg/ha of Natural Phosphates + 250 kg/ha Zeolite, has indicated better result based on variable experiment.Keywords: maize, organo-mineral, Humic acid, dolomite, phosphate, ultisols

Abstract

Balanced fertilization is one solution to support sustainable agriculture.This experiment was conducted to determine the study of potassium caused by balanced fertilization. The experimental method used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) single factor with ten treatments and three replications, so the total is 30 experimental plots. The ten treatments consisted of : without fertilizer (0), ½, 1, 1,5 and 2 doses of organic fertilizer + without fertilizer (0), ¼, ½, ¾ and 1 doses of anorganic fertilizer. The results of this experiments showed that there were significant effects on potencial K, exchangeable K, K uptake and yield of pakchoy from combination of organic fertilizer with anorganic fertilizer. The treatment 1½ dose of organic fertilizer + 1 dose of anorganic fertilizer produce the highest yield of pakchoy with 5.13 kg plot-1 (increase 100 % than control).Keywords: Azolla pinnata compost, litter, peat, solid biofertilizer

Abstract

Black Rice is a source of carbohydrate and also a native plant of Indonesia. Black Rice contains copious amount of aleurone and endospermia that produce anthocyanin antioxidant that gave dark purple to black color characteristics. Black rice also low in sugar, contains, more fiber and vitamin E. Another advantages of the black rice, is as natural medicine or nutritious functional food ingredients that prevents degenerative diseases such as cancer. Potential yield of black rice in Indonesia is around 4–5 t ha-1. In this study, the extent of the role of various types of organic fertilizers (straw compost, cattle manure, chicken manure and sheep manure) and N, P, K fertilizers on the growth and yield of black rice were investigated. The experimental design was carried out using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisted of 10 treatments with triplicates. The combination of treatment consisted of straw compost, cattle manure, chicken manure, sheep manure and 0-100% recommended dosage of Nitroge, Phosphate, and Potassium (N, P, K) fertilizers. Result showed that the combination of organic fertilizers and N, P, K fertilizers had an effect on plant height, number of tillers and black rice yield (dry grain weight). The application of chicken and cattle manure fertilizers with the addition of N, P, K fertilizers (1 recommended dosage) yielded 66.50 g/tiller (8,5 ton/ha)  and 66 g/tiller(8,4 ton/ha) of dry grain weight respectively.Key word: black rice, chicken manure, cattle manure, potential yield

Abstract

Biofertilizer and N, P, K fertilizer combination is expected to decreased the application dosage of inorganic N, P, K fertilizer and increased the yield of maize. This experiment was conducted to describe the effect of N, P, K fertilizer and biofertilizer combination to the population total of soil microbes and yield of maize (Zea mays L. saccharata) on Inceptisols Jatinangor. This experiment was carried out Ciparanje Experimental Station, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor with altitude 820 meters from October 2015 to January 2016. This experiment was arranged in randomized block design which consisted of ten combinations and three replications. Ten combinations were: control; NPK standard dosage; biofertilizer standard dosage; ¼ of NPK + 1 of biofertilizer; ½ of NPK + 1 of biofertilizer; ¾ of NPK dosage + 1 of biofertilizer; 1 of NPK + 1 of biofertilizer; ¾ of NPK + ¼ of biofertilizer; ¾ of NPK + ½ of biofertilizer; and ¾ of NPK + ¾ of biofertilizer. The experiment showed that the combination of NPK and biofertilizer gave a significant effect to increased yield of maize. The standard dosage of biofertilizer reduced 50% of the NPK application and increased the yield of maize by 13,85% efficiently.Keywords: biofertilizer, NPK uptake, soil microbe, maize
