Abstract

Creativity of students in learning mathematics is identically with their efforts to actively learn by themselves. As an alternative, REOG model is expected to encourage students in being more active and able to think creatively in solving mathematical problems. Students are invited for rationalizing mathematical problems, elaborating, organizing understanding, and Styling completion based on their own creativity. The activity is a key for students to know mathematics through other models of teaching and learning activities.Keywords: Rationalize, Elaborate, Organize, Style, Creativity

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims at developing interactive multimedia-based mathematical learning and revealing how the students respond toward the media. The development steps of that interactive mathematical learning media using computer were carried out by development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The instrument used to collect the data was media evaluation questionnaires. The data analysis technique was conducted both qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the research findings that the interactive multimedia-based probability learning revealed no revision and wellreceived by the students. Although there is difficulty for the students at the initial use of it, due to abstract learning habit, but it can be overcome well.

Abstract

The problem-solving ability is closely related to the obtainment of the learning end, where problem-solving ability becomes an important basis for measuring the extent to which students absorb theories on the theories being studied. Problem-solving is the application of the theory to find a way out of the faced mathematical problems. Therefore, this research aimed at determining the problem-solving profile owned by the students in linear algebra courses. This classroom action research was carried out from May to July 2017, on the second semester consisting of 30 students in mathematics education program STKIP PGRI Pacitan academic year 2016/2017. The Assessment of the results of problem-solving was tests in each cycle I (first).
