Abstract

Commercial sex workers often get rejection, discrimination and negative stigmatization from the community. Even so, there are still many women in Indonesia who work as commercial sex workers. Among them are some commercial sex workers who want to repent and get out of prostitution. This article focuses on describing the efforts of commercial sex workers so that they have the awareness and determination to repent. The use of descriptive qualitative methods on the subject of research originating from former commercial sex workers and guidance counselors suggests that the guidance model implemented in the Asy-Syifa Assembly by combining social and spiritual aspects is capable of motivating commercial sex workers to repent. Implementation of socio-spiritual guidance is manifested through the provision of knowledge, attitude and social interaction, as well as support in the form of advice and motivation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTitik Rahayu. HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEDISIPLINAN DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SOSIOLOGI SISWA SMA NEGERI 1 TERAS BOYOLALI. Skripsi. Surakarta: Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, Mei 2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Hubungan antara kedisiplinan dengan prestasi belajar sosiologi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Teras, Boyolali tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, (2) Hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar sosiologi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Teras, Boyolali tahun ajaran 2013/2014, (3) Hubungan secara bersama-sama antara kedisiplinan dan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar sosiologi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Teras, Boyolali tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Teras, Boyolali tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sejumlah 130 siswa. Besarnya sampel uji coba instrument secara random sebanyak 26 siswa, sampel untuk penelitian sebanyak 104 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster sampling ( penarikan sampel dengan cara berumpun). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan analisis statistik dengan teknik korelasi ganda.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: (1) Ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kedisiplinan dengan prestasi belajar sosiologi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Teras, Boyolali tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, diterima. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis  data yang menunjukan rx1y = 0,381 dan p = 0,000. (2) Ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar sosiologi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Teras, Boyolali tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, diterima. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis data yang menunjukan rx2y = 0,459 dan p = 0,000. (3) Ada hubungan positif secara bersama-sama antara kedisiplinan dan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar sosiologi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Teras, Boyolali tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, diterima. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis data yang menunjukan F = 24,366 dan p = 0,000. . Kontribusi secara bersama variabel X1 dan X2 terhadap Y diperoleh harga R = 0,570 dan harga R2 sebesar 0,325. Jadi variabel bebas menentukan variabel terikat sebesar 32,5% dan sisanya sebesar 67,5% ditentukan oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian Kata kunci: Kedisiplinan, Motivasi Belajar, Prestasi Belajar Sosiologi

Abstract

Titik Rahayu. 2015. “Effect of teacher professionalism, teacher performanceand student learning motivation toward the student learning achievement inState High School I (SMA Negeri 1) Kradenan. Slamet Riyadi University,Surakarta, Thesis, unpublished.This research aimed to find out (1) the effect of teacher professionalism onstudents’ learning achievement, (2) the effect of teacher performance onstudents’ learning motivation, (3) the effect of students’ learning motivationon learning achievement, and (4) the effect of teacher professionalism,teacher performance and students’ learning motivation on students’ learningachievement. The sample of research consisted of the graders of XI.IPA 1-3and XI.IPS 1-3 of SMA N 1 Kradenan, containing 60 respondents. Technique ofcollecting data used questionnaire through validity, reliability, and normalitytests. Technique of analyzing data used was path analysis, the combination ofcorrelation and regression, including product moment correlational, F- andmultiple regression tests. Research result indicated that (1) There is asignificant effect of teacher professionalism on students’ learningachievement, indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0.324 (low level ofrelationship) and p < 0.05. (2) There was a significant effect of teacherprofessionalism on students’ learning motivation, indicated by the correlationcoefficient of 0.317 (low level of relationship) and p < 0.05. (3) There was asignificant effect of teacher performance on students’ learning motivation,indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0.456 (medium level of relationship)and p < 0.05. (4) There was a significant effect of teacher performance onstudents’ learning achievement, indicated by the correlational coefficient of0.314 (low level of relationship) and p < 0.05. (5) There was a significant effectof students’ learning motivation on learning achievement, indicated by thecorrelational coefficient of 0.643 (high level of relationship) and p < 0.05. (6)There was a significant effect of teacher professionalism, teacherperformance and students’ learning motivation simultaneously towardstudents’ learning achievement, indicated by the multiple correlationcoefficient of 0.655 (high level of relationship) and p < 0.05. To improve thestudents’ learning achievement in SMA N 1 Kradenan, the students’ learningmotivation should be improved supported by the improvement of teacher’sperformance and professionalism.Keywords: teacher professionalism, teacher performance, student learningmotivation, student learning achievement.

Abstract

Wearing jilbab as an obligation of the religious teaching is not the only reason for Muslim women to wear it. There are many factors that cause someone wearing jilbab. It can be from internal and also external factors. The internal factor comes from individuals awareness to implement syariat, whereas the external factors come from motivation from closely related persons, existing regulation of wearing jilbab, and also environmental influence. At the early process of wearing jilbab, there are that influence someones decision to wear jilbab. The resistance from within (self-resistance) is mind pressure felt by someone faced change. Whereas resistance coming from outside, can be from family, negative response of the society, and the unsupported environment.

Abstract

The application of Integrated teaching materials in teaching and learning science is very important, to support students acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills and make the learning process more memorable. Teachers must be good at choosing methods and packaging the teaching materials well to attract students learning interests. This study aims to examine the analysis of the development of integrated Science on Student Worksheet using the steps of cooperative methods of Student Teams Achievement Divisions type. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach (Multi-case single-site case study design). The data were collected through analytical documents and analyzed thematically with NVIVO 10 software. The results showed that the steps to develop integrated science on Student Worksheet using cooperative method of Student Teams Achievement Divisions are: (1) In Student Worksheet there must be motivation and apperception; (2) team building; (3) presentations from teachers; (4) learning activities in teams must be heterogeneous; (5) implementation of individual quizzes; (6) awarding. The results of this study are discussed with various results of previous research.

Abstract

The recent integration of learning models in the learning process has become the focus of science education experts, especially in Indonesia, such as the adoption of the Reading-Concept Map Think Pair Share (Remap TPS) learning model. This study aims to improve the students’ cognitive abilities, and scientific attitudes through the Reading-Concept Map Think Pair Share model. The study was conducted to junior high school students by employing Quasi-experimental with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The instruments used were multiple choice tests and observation sheets. The result of the research shows that the students’ cognitive ability is in the medium category with an N-gain value of 0.47. Based on this result, it can be concluded that the Remap TPS learning influences the students’ cognitive ability. The obtained average percentage score of the students’ scientific attitudes is 81.76% which belongs to the very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that this study provides important implications for educators to be more creative in designing learning models in order to improve the students’ cognitive abilities and scientific attitudes.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada Karang Taruna Desa Doho Kecamatan Dolopo Kabupaten Madiun dalam pelatihan revitalisasi Karang Taruna Desa Doho, Kecamatan Dolopo, Kabupaten Madiun yang dapat memberikan solusi pada Karang Taruna Desa Doho Kecamatan Dolopo Kabupaten Madiun pada 1) kurang masih belum efektifnya organisasi, 2) belum adanya pengkaderan organisasi, 3) manajemen yang kurang tertata dengan baik, 4) program kerja yang belum terkoordinir dengan baik, 5) peran Karang Taruna yang kurang optimal, 6) kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap Karang Taruna Desa Doho, Kecamatan Dolopo, Kabupaten Madiun rendah, 7) motivasi dalam berorganisasi masih kurang yang disebabkan kurangnya apresiasi dari organisasi, 8) kebijaksanaan dan ketegasan pemimpin dalam memutuskan suatu masalah masih kurang, dan 9) kurang adanya fokus pada suatu visi misi organisasi. Adapun solusi yang diberikan adalah dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mereka dalam revitalisasi Karang Taruna Desa Doho, Kecamatan Dolopo, Kabupaten Madiun.

Abstract

The trending topic in today's education is computational thinking skills which are used to help to solve complicated problems easier. This study aims to identify the level of knowledge and self-confidence of science teacher candidates (physics and biology) on computational thinking skills. The survey research design was used through a mixed-method approach by combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative study involved 1016 randomly selected groups of science teachers whilein the qualitative study, eight science teachers were chosen based on the scores obtained from the quantitative study. The questionnaire was used as a quantitative data collecting technique to analyze descriptive statistics. Then, an interview was used as the qualitative data collecting technique and was analyzed through theme creation. The findings show that science teacher candidates have a high level of knowledge and self-confidence. The implication of this study is very important for teacher candidates because computational thinking can help to facilitate problems solving in everyday life. Teacher candidates need to be given knowledge and understanding of computational thinking skills, to have readiness and self-confidence in facing the challenges of the learning in the 21st-century
