Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan sains (IPA) umumnya dan pendidikan biologi khususnya mempunyai potensi untuk memainkan peran strategi dalam menyiapkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode pembelajaran SQ3R. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan di SMS Berea Tondano kelas VIIIA dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang.  Hasil penelian menunjukkan bahwa pada  siklus 1 hasil nilai rata-rata siswa secara individual 70,19dan secara klasikal 61,53%. Dilanjutkan ke siklus II diperole nilai rata-rata 78,9 dan secara klasikal 88, 46%. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Survey,Question,Read,Recetive Review (SQ3R) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran biologi di SMP GPDI Berea Tondano. ABSTRACT Science Education (IPA) in general and biology education in particular has the potential to play a strategic role in preparing qualified human resources. This studied aims to determine whether the use of learning methods SQ3R. This research is a class action carried in Berea SMS Tondano VIIIA class by the number of students 26 people. Recent research resulted show that the first cycle of the average value of the results of individual students in classical 70,19dan 61.53%. Proceed to the second cycle in perole value or average 78.9 and in the classical 88, 46%. Based on the results obtained in cycle II states that learning by using Survey, Question, Read, Recetive Review (SQ3R) can improve student learning outcomes in subjects in junior high school biology GPDI Berea Tondano.   Keywords: SQ3R Method, Results Learning.

Abstract

AbstractTwenty seven strains of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) were isolated from bakasang, Indonesian traditional fermented fish product. In general, LAB have inhibitory activity againts pathogenic bacteria and spoilage bacteria. Screening for antimicrobia activity of isolates were performed with well-diffusion method. One isolate that was designed as Pediococcus BksC24 was the strongest against bacteria pathogenic and spoilage bacteria. This strain was further identified by 16S rRNA gen sequence comparison. Isolates LAB producing antimicrobial agents from bakasang were identified as Pediococcus acidilactici.Keywords : Bakasang, LAB, antimicrobial, phenotypic characteristics, 16S rRNA gene

Abstract
