Abstract

Kitchen ware made from aluminum and stainless - steel mostly produced by large corporations branded fraction by micro entrepreneurs. For microentrepreneurs faced many obstacles, among others, capital, market,supply chain of raw materials, human resources and labor. Inventory is one of the problems that continue to disrupt the production and marketing process. This is because the raw material supply chain does not guarantee the availability of raw materials needed. Solving problems of IBM partners mutually agreed , mainly to address thefundamental problem: how to manage the inventory of raw materials and how to manage finances micro-enterprises. Resolving the problem required dihadai various methods such as: is the method through application assistance for the implementation of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and the method of Supply Chain Management (SCM), as well as training and mentoring management Cash Management and Accounting simple, and sharing the cost ofprocurement of production equipment in accordance the availability of funds. The end result of this activity is that the use of methods MRP and SCM method does not match the scale of the industrys only business partner households , adjustment method implementation is done by building long-term contracts with suppliers ofraw materials, raw material quality standards will be guaranteed by long-term contracts with supplier of raw materials, and there needs to be built from the Department of Trade and Industry District Jember.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk anak-anak kecil (young children) menuntut guru untuk selalu kreatif dan inovatif dalam mendesign aktivitas pembelajaran di kelas. Pengajaran bahasa Inggris untuk anak-anak kecil tidak mudah mengingat anak-anak kecil mempunyai karakteristik dan keunikan tersendiri dalam mempelajari sebuah bahasa. Setiap guru tentu menginginkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang efektif dan bermutu baik. Namun, persoalannya adalah bagaimana pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk anak-anak dapat dilakukan secara efektif dan maksimal. Maka, guru sebagai fasilitator, pelaksana dan pengembang kurikulum harus mampu menentukan metode pengajaran yang kreatif, inovatif dan relevan untuk anak-anak kecil. Salah satu metode pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang relevan untuk anak-anak kecil adalah metode Total Physical Response (TPR). TPR adalah sebuah metode pengajaran bahasa yang sampai detik ini masih dianggap sebagai metode yang sangat populer dan relevan untuk diterapkan dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris untuk ana-anak kecil baik di MI maupun SD. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini akan mencoba untuk menjelaskan secara detail tentang metode Total Physical Response (TPR) serta implementasinya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk anak-anak kecil di MI/SD.

Abstract

This study is categorized as classroom action research (CAR). This study proposed Think-Pair-Square as strategy in English language teaching and learning of speaking at the second grade of MTs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Palengaan Pamekasan. This strategy is aimed at solving the students’ problems on speaking ability and active participation in the classroom. Based on the preliminary study, the students’ problems in speaking skill grouped into several problems: (1) lack of vocabularies (2) lack of ideas to speak (3) afraid to speak (4) lack of self-confidence. Therefore, the criteria of success were directed to the mentioned problems. The result of the research showed that by implementing Think-Pair-Square strategy in English language teaching and learning of speaking skill in the classroom, the students speaking ability is increased and students’ active participation during the speaking activities in the classroom is very highly positive and increased.

Abstract

Teaching English to young learner is very different from teaching English to adolescent and adults. There are three learner groups in English language teaching (ELT). There are young children, adolescent and adult. The three learner groups have crucial differences in terms of language learning needs, language competence emphasized, and cognitive skill addressed. Understanding the ideas and strategies for teaching English to young learners is very urgently needed for English teachers to design and develop learning activities for children. This article tries to explain some practical strategies or ideas in teaching English to young learners (TEYL). The practical strategies that can be practiced in the teaching English to young learners are: teaching with pictures, visual and realia, teaching with movement and games, teaching with stories and teaching with music or song. Hopefully, these strategies can help teachers especially teachers of young learners in designing and developing learning activities in the classroom.

Abstract

Keberhasilan belajar bahasa Inggris tercermin dalam kemampuan speaking-nya karena Speaking merupakan keterampilan bahasa yang prominent. Namun mahasiswa masih enggan, malu dan takut untuk mengungkapkan gagasan dengan bebas (free) karena mereka dihinggapi perasaan cemas (language anxiety) atau nervous yang mereka alami ketika hendak mengungkapkannya. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh faktor individu dan faktor sosial. Bentuk manifestasi dari language anxiety yang dihadapi mahasiswa berbentuk perilaku verbal dan non-verbal. Untuk mengatasi language anxiety tersebut mahasiswa mensugesti diri, menarik nafas panjang, dan meminta bantuan teman-temanya apabila perasaan anxiety itu muncul.

Abstract

This study has three research focuses: (1) how does the English teacher teach reading comprehension by using short story, (2) what are the obstacles faced by English teacher, and (3) what are the advantages of teaching reading comprehension by using shot story at the seventh grade of MTs Manshurul Ummah Pasean Pamekasan. The approach of this study is qualitative and the kind is descriptive. The data was collected through observation, interview and documentation and analyzed by using explorative descriptive procedures: data reduction, data display, data conclusion drawing and verification. The data validity used triangulation of data collection techniques. The findings of the study shows: (1) The steps in teaching reading comprehension by using short story are: pre-teaching, whilst-teaching, and post teaching. The use of short story makes students enjoyed learning and students’ are highly motivated, fun and joyfull with the teaching and learning. (2) The obstacles faced by teacher in teaching reading comprehension are: (a) students’ motivation is low, (b) students’ vocabulary is very limitted, (c) students’ self confidence and bravery are very poor. (3) The advantages of teaching reading comprehension are: (a) recognizing English texts genre, (b) increasing fluency in reading, (c) enlarging students’ English vocabulary.
