Abstract

The study aimed to describe deiksis persona, place, and time in the 2012 edition of the Horizon magazine Kakilangit. Semantics and pragmatics were used to reveal the structure and meaning of words in a sentence. This research method was descriptive qualitative method. The results showed deiksis occurs when the reference moved depend on the author, time, and place of written word. It was found on the Kakilangit Horizon magazine 2012 edition. The implication of this research was Indonesian learning at the tenth grade high school  in 2013 curriculum.Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan deiksis persona, tempat, dan waktu dalam Kakilangit majalah Horison edisi 2012. Semantik dan pragmatik digunakan untuk mengungkap struktur dan makna kata dalam kalimat. Metode penelitian ini  adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kedeiksisan terjadi apabila referensinya berpindah-pindah bergantung penulis, waktu, dan tempat kata dituliskan. Hal itu terdapat pada Kakilangit majalah Horison edisi 2012. Implikasi penelitian ini berupa pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas X di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) kurikulum 2013.Kata kunci: deiksis, implikasi, metode.

Abstract

The study entitled “New Social Media and The Emergence of Revolution in Communication Process” has a background as follows; (1) the people around the world are infatuated with social media, (2) social media has changed the process of message delivery in the world. The social media has even changed the political map, world power, world intercommunication because of the acceleration of communication, and (3) the circulation of information which spreads by social media is much more complicated, more complex, and it has real consequences in internet age today. Based on this study, it could be concluded as follows; (1) the changes in message delivery process from one direction (one-step flow) to the many direction (multistep flow), (2) the amount of message circulation which spreads in the world as a result of social media is greatly increasing beyond space and time, (3) our society is experiencing spillover of communication (overwhelming information) that causes cultural shock in our society. Abstract

Mass media has enormous power in cotrolling peoples belief. Its ups and downs are truly directed by the media. In can be said that media take part in the developed society, however, media also take part in the deterioration of the society. This writing talks about the effects of mass media in leading to the dehumanization. This text aims at examining what caused dehumanization and what media should perform interm of turn dehumanization down.

Abstract

PERKEMBANGAN ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (Iptek) yang luar biasa cepatnya harus diakui membawa dampak positif luar biasa besar dalam bidang komunikasi masyarakat. Sekarang, pola komunikasi dan penyampaian informasi setiap orang bisa dilakukan di mana saja tanpa takut terhalang jarak maupun waktu. Kondisi itu berkat ditemukannya alat komunikasi --  seperti handphone maupun internet --  yang membuat setiap orang semakin praktis dalam berinteraksi maupun berkomunikasi dengan orang lain, meski berbeda kota, pulau, maupun negara sekalipun. Dengan munculnya teknologi informasi yang sedemikian canggih tersebut, juga turut berimbas pada penyampain berita yang dimiliki media massa (cetak maupun elektronik) kepada masyarakat. Jika dulu koran, radio, dan televisi, selalu berpatok pada aturan baku yang membuat informasi disampaikan secara kaku mengikuti kaidah manual yang sudah berjalan apa adanya seperti itu, maka kini hal itu tak bisa terus diterapkan.

Abstract

AbstractThe development of Islamic education for marginalized community should be handled in different wayfrom any other that has better access to adequate education. In some regions where the people have little access to development and are isolated and far from passable infrastucture such as Jayapura, the Islamic education, called Madrasah, is addressed to focus on self-empowerment especially to solve their facing problems in a more independent manner while perceiving either the problem analysis or expected requirement level. To this end, the government may play a companion role to provide both direct and indirect support toward an improved Madrasah education for the community in question. Therefore, a greater public participation can be realized through tirelessly maintained cultural values of self-reliance and mutual help so that the developed model will become a people’s education. Madrasah in marginal communities would provide public participation as part of the development for the better. AbstrakPengembangan pendidikan madrasah di komunitas marjinal sudah sepantasnya berbeda perlakuannya dengan komunitas lain yang lebih banyak mendapatkan akses pendidikan yang memadai, di komunitas yang masyarakatnya sulit mendapatkan akses pendidikan yang memadai. Di komunitas yang masyarakatnya sulit mendapatkan akses pembangunan, terpencil, dan jauh dari infrastruktur yang memadai, seperti jayapura maka layanan pendidikan madrasahnya lebih diarahkan pada pemberdayaan diri, terutama untuk memecahkan persoalannya sendiri secara lebih mandiri dengan melihat analisis persoalan dan tingkat kebutuhan yang diharapkan. Dalam posisi ini, pemerintah bertindak sebagai pendamping yang akan memberikan support scala langsung maupun tidak langsung terhadap peningkatan pendidikan madrasah di komunitas marjinal. Oleh karena itu, tingkat pelibatan masyarakat lebih besar karena kultur yang dimilikinya masih kuat nilai-nilai keswadayaan dan gotong royong sehingga model madrasah yang dikembangkan merupakan pendidikan masyarakat. Madrasah di komunitas marjinal akan memberikan partisipasi masyarakat sebagai bagian dari pengembangan ke arah lebih baik.

Abstract

AbstractAn accelerated social living in the mid of advanced sciences and technology has influenced the norm and values systems of the community. Islamic education oriented to achieving perfect human beings has been responsible for constructing educational and learning process. Ideally, Islamic educational method is rational, challenging, dialogic, empirical, and forrward thingking, which presents religion into societal living. Islamic education need systemic reformulation of their institutional roles and functions and methodically moves to the creation of a learning model that is capable of giving new color to the (religious) value learning.

Abstract

Fazlurrahman in his conception always emphasizes on the understanding of science from the wide meaning and context. The science cover all dimension of life. There is no dichotomy between the secular science and the Islamic one. Accordingly fit can be realized in the concept of Islamic education universally, hence during brief time Islamic education will possibly become competitive compare to the west education. Integrated approach which integrates the "secular science" and Islamic science will probably bears Moslem scholar in the future.

Abstract

The issue in this research is how the effectiveness of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) as a working unit of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This study aimed to evaluate the policies of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri as a working unit of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This study used a mixed method (quantitative and qualitative). The findings in this study are: First, the process of learning in MIN is still good, despite its position as a workingunit (PIU). Second, management functions (planning, implementation and reporting of program) at MIN is good, despite many obstacles on the planning aspects of the program, although the process pays no regard to needs assessment and does not involve stakeholders more broadly. Third, MIN does not have proper personnel both in terms of quantity and quality. Fourth, with regard to accountability aspects of financial management accountability, MIN still experiences difficulties in an attempt to follow Government Accounting Standard (SAP). Fifth, the context of the arrangement of the future, most of the Heads of Office of Religious Affairs of Cities and Regencies and agree that MIN should remain a working unit, while the Principals agree that should remain a working unit. However, MIN effectiveness as a working unit requires structural support or the Deputy Head andTreasurer.

Abstract

An image of Islamic school as high-qualiry institution will he meaningless i fit cannot be identified and the community cannot gain overall benefit. The irony is even the actors of education in Islamic school are unable to recognke and feel the benefit from such quality, hence the development of Islamic school either in the context of state intervention or community participation is not always directed toward a- constructive way. Therefore, the further challenge faced by the education institution of Islamic school is how to make the image of Islamic school as a high-quality institution is recognked by the community. Furthermore, how the image be in- line with the mandate of National Education System Law. This paper actually strives for reviewing the- extent to which a strategic position in national education may be identified and interpreted into a good image design by the community. In addition, it is also prepared to find strategies which may be elaborated in the context of developing the image of. Islamic school so as to be able to give a meaningful contribution to improve the life as a nation.
