Abstract

The formulation of problem in this research is how is the grade of discourse legibility in Indonesian text book “Self and Academic Expression” for grade X through Closed Test. Research method which is used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. Technique of data analysis is using Closed Test. Data analysis is done by comparing students’ ability test result and closed test result measurement. Research result shows that the students who got score ≥ 61 was for about 23 students and the students who got score 44 – 60 was for about 17 students, and there was no students who got score ≤ 40. The average number of students’ score based on five discourses was 64,28. The discourse legibility of Indonesian text book “Self and Academic Expression” for grade X is categorized as high or easy to be understood by the X grade students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran deskriptif mengenai keterbacaan wacana buku teks Bahasa Indonesia “Ekspresi Diri dan Akademik” untuk kelas X. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik tes klose. Analisis data dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil belajar siswa dan hasil pengukuran tes klose. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mendapat nilai ≥ 61 sebanyak 23, yang mendapat skor nilai 44–60 sebanyak 17, dan yang mendapat nilai ≤ 40 tidak ada. Rata-rata nilai siswa terhadap kelima wacana sebesar 64,28. Keterbacaan wacana buku teks Bahasa Indonesia “Ekspresi Diri dan Akademik” untuk kelas X tergolong wacana tinggi atau mudah dipahami oleh siswa kelas X.Kata kunci: buku teks, keterbacaan, tes klose, wacana.
