Abstract

Abstract: The Islamic higher educations are undergoing important changes involving the development of missions and reorganization of management, with implications for their quality education in the midst of complexity. The main study of this article highlights the importance of governance quality in Islamic higher education in the face of complexity from the perspective of Blue Ocean Strategy. It can be concluded that to win in the future, Islamic higher educations must stop competing each other. The only way to beat the competition is to stop trying to beat the competition. Blue Ocean Strategy to be one of the alternatives in the management of educational institutions to create distinctive adavantage and competitiveness based graduates. Abstrak:  Pendidikan tinggi Islam mengalami perubahan signifikan pada pengembangan misi dan reorganisasi manajemen yang mempengaruhi kualitas pendidikan di era kompleksitas. Kompleksitas tersebut tidak dapat diprediksi dan mempengaruhi munculnya gejala disorientasi nilai, disharmoni sosial, dan peran disfungsional. Pokok kajian tulisan ini menyorot pentingnya tatakelola pendidikan tinggi Islam bermutu dalam perspektif Blue Ocean Strategy dalam menghadapi kompleksitas. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif teoritis dan praktis. Temuan penelitian adalah untuk berdaya saing di masa depan, pendidikan tinggi Islam harus berhenti bersaing satu sama lain. Satu-satunya cara untuk mengalahkan kompetisi adalah berhenti berusaha memenangi kompetisi. Blue Ocean Strategy menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan dalam mencetak lulusan yang kompetitif dan unggul.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tulisan ini membahas tiga persoalan utama yaitu: Pertama, eksistensi dan prob­lematika pendidikan Islam. Kedua, upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan Islam ber­basis kompetensi. Ketiga, peran pendidikan Islam dalam pengem­bangan ku­rikulum berbasis kompetensi. Kajian dalam tulisan ini menemukan bahwa prob­lematika utama pendidikan Islam di lembaga pendidikan saat ini adalah hanya di­pandang melalui aspek kognitif, tidak dipandang bagaimana peserta didik me­nga­malkan dalam dunia nyata sehingga belajar agama sebatas menghafal dan men­catat. Hal ini mengakibatkan pelajaran agama menjadi pelajaran teoretis, bu­kan penghayatan terhadap nilai agama itu sendiri. Maka peningkatan mutu pen­di­dikan Islam diperoleh melalui dua strategi, (1) peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang berorientasi akademis. (2) peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang berorientasi pada life skill yang esensial yaitu pendidikan yang berlandaskan luas, nyata, dan bermakna.Abstract: This paper discusses three main issues: First, the existence and Problems of Isla­mic Education. Secondly, Improving the Quality of Islamic Education com­pe­ten­cy-based. Third, the role of Islamic Education in Competency-Based Curriculum De­ve­lopment. Study in this paper found that the main problems of Islamic education in educational institutions today is only seen through the cognitive aspect, not seen how learners to practice in the real world so that the extent of religious study and memorize the notes. This resulted in religious studies lessons not the­oretical appreciation of the value of religion itself. So Improving the quality of Is­lamic education is obtained through two strategies: (1) improving the quality of education that is academically oriented. (2) improving the quality-oriented edu­cation is an essential life skill that is broad-based education, real and meaningful.

Abstract

Quality of life among people living with HIV/AIDS based on criteria diagnosis and other factors in Surakarta PurposeThis study aimed to determine the quality of life among people living with HIV/AIDS based on the criteria for diagnosis and other factors.MethodsThis study was conducted in the VCT clinic hospital of Dr. Moewardi. The population was HIV-positive patients with antiretroviral therapy. Data collection conducted through medical records and interview to patients. ResultsOut of a total of 89 respondents, 66.29% were males and 71.91% were aged between 26-45 years. We found significant correlations for diagnosis of HIV/AIDS, opportunistic infections, time since HIV diagnosis, duration of ARV therapy, social support, modes of transport, sex, age, and marital status with the quality of life. Multivariate analysis obtained by each variable showed the strongest association with the quality of life was time since diagnosis, social support and duration of ARV therapy. ConclusionThe quality of life was better for those who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS ≥ 32 months, with social support, and who have been undergoing antiretroviral therapy ≥ 29 months. Improved counseling in the early days of ARV therapy is necessary to always maintain the treatment and provide support for their social life.

Abstract

Responsive gender education is a foundation of women’s empowerment. It is conducted not to create a higher statue for women. In the contrary, it is held to improve the independency, power and participation of women in order to avoid discrimination often happened to them. Therefore, a co-operative work by government, the private (non- government) institutions, independent institutions, and stakeholders of gender issue is expected to produce better public adjustments of gender. The gender mainstream will not only encourage to a stabilized and adjusted gender, but also will hold the government accountability of public to be in increase.

Abstract

CONTEXTUALIZATION OF SPIRITUAL EDUCATION VALUES IN STRENGTHENING “ASSIDDIANG” CULTURE COMMUNITY OF BUGIS “KAMPUNG GURU PINRANG”. This study aimed to describe the characteristics and contextualization of education spiritual values on strengthening Assiddiang culture as Local Wisdom in the perspective of Islamic practice Bugis community at Kampung Guru Pinrang. This study was categorized as field research with descriptive qualitative-naturalistic approach and case studies. The data were analysed using interactive model analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data display, conclusions and verification. The results showed that the spiritual education values practiced by Bugis community have strengthened their Assiddiang culture (unity). Assiddiang culture is identified as local wisdom in the Islamic practice Bugis community Kampung Guru. This culture has been internalized so this values system internalization needs to be maintained and has contributed to the planting of the value and character of social change, especially in Bugis community and Indonesian people in general.

Abstract

Pokok masalah dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam dalam pembelajaran mata pelajaran umum di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Tinambung Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Sumber data yakni kepala sekolah, guru-guru, staf, dan peserta didik MTsN Tinambung Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model interaksi (interactive analysis models) Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penerapan nilai-nilai dalam pembelajaran mata pelajaran umum dilaksanakan melalui mengintegrasikan dan mengaitkan nilai-nilai Islam, mengadopsi pendekatan pembelajaran agama dalam pembelajaran mata pelajaran umum, dan membudayakan pelaksanaan kegiatan ciri khas agama Islam.   The principal problem of this research is the application of the values of Islam in teaching general subjects at MTs Negeri (MTsN) Tinambung Polewali Mandar. This type of research is qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The data sources are principal, teachers, staff, and students MTsN Tinambung Polewali Mandar. Analysis of the data in this study used interactive analysis models from Miles & Huberman. The results showed that the application of the values in teaching general subjects is implemented through integrating and linking the values of Islam, adopting a religion learning approach in teaching general subjects, and cultivating the implementation of activities which is based on Islamic characteristic.

Abstract

Indonesia's maritime triumph from history to being written in a song lyric is not a question, especially its reliability in making Pinisi boats whose processes are full of local wisdom and cultural values reflected in everyday life. The research conducted in Bira Village, Bontobahari Sub-district, Bulukumba District in            May 2018 aims to examine the rationalism of making pinisi boats with Weber's perspective approach. The aim is to use qualitative methods with Weber's approach in the verstehen perspective. The findings show that the making of the Pinisi boat is still filled with mystical nuances of religion ranging from the determination of the day of manufacture to its launch in the sea even though the elements of modernization began to come in to streamline time and streamline costs as a form of rationality in acting, as in Weber's perspective, zwerk rational, werk rational, affectual action, and traditional actions

Abstract

Lad Contamination in Roadside Soil and Plant and Effect of Organic Matter Amendment (Sabaruddin, D Budianta and Mardia):  Roadside soils and plants may be the most important sink of lead (Pb).  It has been widely known that soil organic matter (SOM) plays important roles in determining concentrations of metals in soil solution and their extractability from the soil.  To investigate Pb contamination in the roadside soils and plants, as well as the effect of organic matter (OM) on the soluble Pb in the roadside soils, surface soils (0 to 20 cm) were collected from a busy road.   The soils were incubated for 4 weeks under room temperature after being treated with 0, 30, 60 and 90 Mg ha-1 of OM.  Leaves of oil palms (Elaeis guineensis) planted on the roadside were also analyzed for Pb content.  Current study revealed that Pb content in roadside soils and leaves of oil palm was 1.5 and 5.5 times higher than the safe level of Pb in soil and plant.  It confirms that both soil and plant at the study site were contaminated by Pb.  Current study also showed that SOM amendment significantly (P<0.01) affected soluble Pb content in the soils.  Adding OM to the soil at 30 Mg ha-1 to correct the level of SOC from very low to low was sufficient to significantly reduce soluble Pb in the soils.  However, the application of 60 Mg ha-1 of OM triggered the increases in soluble Pb in the soils.  Further increases in OM application to 90 Mg ha-1 resulted in significant increases in soluble Pb as compared with that in the soil receiving 30 Mg ha-1 of OM.  In spite of the increases, the level of soluble Pb in the soils receiving 60 and 90 Mg ha-1 of OM was still much below the safe level of Pb in soil.
