Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari dan mengetahui pemberian dosis biochar sekam padi dan pupuk kandang ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman temulawak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Gading Kulon Kecamatan Dau, Malang Jawa Timur, dan berlangsung mulai bulan Mei sampai dengan Agustus 2014. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dimana faktor pertama adalah Biochar Sekam Padi: B0, B1, B2, B3 dan faktor kedua Pupuk Kandang Ayam: P0, P1, P2, P3. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa biochar sekam padi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Perlakuan tanpa pupuk kandang ayam (P0) merupakan perlakuan yang memperoleh hasil terbaik dibandingkan perlakuan P1, P2, P3. Interaksi perlakuan tidak menunjukkan hasil yang nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the beta-carotene content, starch content and % of dried tuber ingredients in several new sweet potato clones. The clones consisted of five new clones and compared to three control cultivars. A randomized block design with three replications was used in this study, carried out in an experimental unit measuring 3 m x 0.6 m in single row. Each experimental unit was planted with 25 cm long cassava cuttings, spacing in 25 cm in a row. Phonska fertilizer with a dose of 300 kg/ha is given twice, first at 7 days after planting (dap) as many as 1/3 parts and the rest given at plant age 45 days. Plants were harvested at 4 months of growh duration and were observed based on component parameters of yield, Harvest Index, total carotene and starch content. The results showed that the performance of total carotene in the five clones evaluated ranged from 0.50 - 75.26 µg/g, the starch content ranged from 9.66 - 18.52% based on fresh weight, and the dry matter content of the storage root ranged from 23.17% - 34.06%. Two new sweet potato clones (Beta 2-♀-12 and Beta 2-♂-22) had total carotene levels exceeding their control cultivars, respectively 52.83 and 75.26 µg/g; the starch content is 18.30% and 10.57% based on the wet weight of the tuber. The starch content was positively correlated (r = 0.875) with the dry matter of tuber (% dry matter); on the contrary the level of total carotene to starch content and % dry matter in all the clones had a negative correlation of -0.614 and -0565 respectively. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi kandungan betakaroten, kadar pati dan % bahan kering umbi pada beberapa klon ubijalar baru. Klon yang dievaluasi terdiri lima klon baru dan dibandingkan dengan tiga kultivar kontrol. Rancangan acak kelompok dengan tiga ulangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dikerjakan pada unit percobaan berukuran 3 m x 0.6 m secara single row. Setiap unit percobaan ditanami stek ubijalar berukuran panjang + 25 cm, jarak tanam dalam baris 25 cm. Pupuk dasar Phonska dengan dosis pupuk 300 kg/ha diberikan dua kali, pertama pada umur 7 hari setelah tanam (hst) sebanyak 1/3 bagian dan sisanya diberikan pada umur tanaman 45 hst. Tanaman dipanen pada umur 4 bulan dan diamati berdasarkan parameter komponen hasil, Indeks Panen, kadar total karoten dan kadar pati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keragaan kadar total karoten pada lima klon yang dievaluasi berkisar antara 0.50 – 75.26 µg/g, kadar patinya berkisar antara 9.66 – 18.52 % berdasar bobot basah umbi, dan kadar bahan kering umbinya berkisar antara 23.17 % – 34.06 %. Dua klon ubijalar baru (Beta 2-♀-12 dan Beta 2-♂-22) memiliki kadar total karoten melebihi kultivar kontrolnya, masing-masing sebesar 52.83 dan 75.26 µg/g; kadar patinya sebesar 18.30 % dan 10.57 % berdasar bobot basah umbinya. Kadar pati berkorelasi positif dengan kadar bahan kering umbi (% BK umbi) dengan nilai korelasi r = 0.875; sebaliknya kadar kadar total karoten terhadap kadar pati dan % BK umbi pada semua klon yang dievaluasi memiliki korelasi negatif masing-masing sebesar ─ 0.614 dan ─ 0565.

Abstract

This trial was aimed to evaluate the performance of sweet potato cultivars on biochar application. The treatments were carried out using a Split-plot Design with three replications. The cultivars were placed on main plots and biochar doses were on sub-plots. The thirteen cultivars consisted of seven varieties and six accessions from Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University and Brawijaya University collections. The applied biochar doses were B0 (0 t/ha) and B1 (5 t/ha). The experimental unit measuring of 5 m x 0.6 m consisted of single row and planted with a spacing of 25 cm in row or 20 cuttings/row. The storage root weight, % dry matter, storage root dry weight, dry weight of biomass, harvest index and yield estimation were determined. The results showed that the sweet potato cultivars gave a significant response to the biochar application on fresh storage root weight, storage root dry weight, biomass dry weight, harvest index and storage root yields, but no interaction between cultivars and biochar doses. Storage root yield ranged from 8 to 21 t/ha without biochar and from 10 to 23 t/ha with 5 t biochar /ha, except for Beta 1 and Boko. The use of 5 t biochar /ha increased storage root yields that ranged from 8 to 45%.

Abstract

Fenomena kemiskinan di kalangan masyarakat  yang memiliki tanggungan anak cacat merupakan masalah yang perlu segera diatasi. Banyak sekali anak penyandang cacat yang tidak bisa mengenyam bangku pendidikan karena kondisi ekonomi orang tua mereka yang tidak mampu. Kondisi seperti ini timbul karena masyarakat miskin tidak memiliki akses, kemampuan finansial dan ketrampilan yang cukup dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut.Keluarga penyandang cacat  Ridho Eko Atmojo maupun Leni Nurhayati merupakan dua contoh keluarga yang memerlukan bimbingan dan bantuan modal. Rido Eko memiliki kelainan bisu dan tuli, sedangkan Leni memiliki kelainan epilepsy dan retardasi mental ringan. Melalui kegiatan Ipteks bagi masyarakat (IbM) berupa usaha jualan sayur keliling dan beternak ayam kampung ini diharapkan terjadi peningkatan produktivitas dan kemandirian keluarga mitra baik secara ekonomi mapun sosial, juga pemberian rehabilitasi medis si penyandang cacat agar mampu berperan dalam lingkungan sosialnya .Hasilnya  setelah mendapatkan bantuan dari program IbM Keluarga Agus Susanto (Ridho Eko Atmojo) dan Keluarga Setiono (Leni Nurhayati) semakin meningkat produktifitasnya sehingga  mampu memperbaiki taraf kehidupan ekonomi dan sosialnya menuju kemandirian ekonomi keluarga. Hasil analisis kelayakan usaha untuk jualan sayur keliling adalah sebesar 1.47 dan usaha beternak ayam sebesar 1.16 sehingga dua kegiatan usaha tersebut layak untuk diusahakan. Pemberian rehab medis memberikan efek positip terhadap tingkat kesehatan kedua anak mitra.Keyword : Miskin, Anak Cacat, Pemberdayaan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of biochar and potassium fertilizer on the increase in sweet potato yield of Antin 2 variety which was carried out in the Research Station of Brawijaya University, Jatikerto Village, Kromengan District, Malang Regency in March – July 2017.This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD), which consists of two factors. The first factor is the application of biochar doses, namely: B0 (without biochar), B1 (with biochar at a dose of 2.5 tons / ha), B2 (with biochar at a dose of 5 tons / ha), and B3 (with biochar at a dose of 7.5 tons/ ha); The second factor is the dose of KCl, namely K0 (without KCl fertilization), K1 (KCl fertilization with a dose of 50 kg KCl / ha), K2 (KCl fertilization with a dose of 100 kg KCl / ha), and K3 (KCl fertilization with a dose of 150 kg KCl / ha).The variables observed included: the storage root numbers, fresh weight of storage root, fresh vines weight, % storage root dry matters, % dry matters of vines, storage root dry weight, vines dry weight, biomass dry weight, harves index (%), estimation of storage root yield (t/ha), and estimation of vines yield (t/ha). The results showed that giving a dose of biochar affect the storage root numbers, % storage root dry matters, storage root dry weight, and harves index (%), but did not affect the fresh weight of storage root, fres vines weight, estimation of storage root yield, and estimation of vines yield. Potassium gave effect to the storage root numbers, fresh weight of storage root, % storage root dry matters, storage root dry weight, and estimation of storage root yield, but did not affect the fresh vines weight, % dry matters of vines, harves index (%), and estimation of vines yield. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengaplikasian biochar dan pupuk kalium terhadap peningkatan hasil ubijalar Varietas Antin 2yang dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Agroteknopark Universitas Brawijaya, Desa Jatikerto, Kecamatan Kromengan, Kabupaten Malang pada Bulan Maret – Juli 2017.Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah pemberian dosis biochar, yaitu: B0 (tanpa pemberian biochar), B1 (pemberian biochar dengan dosis 2,5 ton/ha), B2 (pemberian biochar dengan dosis 5 ton/ha), dan B3 (pemberian biochar dengan dosis 7,5 ton/ha); Faktor kedua adalah pemberian dosis KCl, yaitu K0 (tanpa pemupukan KCl), K1 (pemupukan KCl dengan dosis 50 kg KCl/ha), K2 (pemupukan KCl dengan dosis 100 kg KCl/ha), dan K3 (pemupukan KCl dengan dosis 150 kg KCl/ha).Variabel yang diamati meliputi : jumlah umbi/gulud, bobot segar umbi (kg/gulud), bobot segar brangkasan (kg/plot), % bobot kering umbi, % bobot kering brangkasan, bobot kering umbi (kg/gulud), bobot kering brangkasan (kg/gulud), bobot kering biomassa (kg/gulud), Indeks Panen (%), estimasi hasil umbi (t/ha), dan estimasi hasil brangkasan (t/ha).Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pemberian dosis biochar berpengaruh terhadap jumlah umbi, % bobot kering umbi, bobot kering umbi, dan indeks panen (%), namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot segar umbi, bobot segar brangkasan, estimasi hasil umbi, dan estimasi hasil brangkasan. Pemberian kalium berpengaruh terhadap jumlah umbi, bobot segar umbi, % bobot kering umbi, bobot kering umbi, dan estimasi hasil umbi, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot segar brangkasan, % bobot kering brangkasan, indeks panen (%), dan estimasi hasil brangkasan.

Abstract

Indawan et al, 2019. Increasing Sweet Potato Yield on Biochar Amendment Application on Sub-Optimal Dry Land. JLSO 8(1):47-56. Biochar is a soil amendment that can improve soil fertility, increase crop yield and can reduce contamination. This study aim to evaluate the sweet potato response to biochar application from tobacco industry waste. The combination of cultivar and dose of biochar implemented using a Split Plot Experiment Design with three replications. The cultivars placed 0n main plots and biochar doses on sub-plots. The thirteen cultivars covering 7 varieties (Kuningan Putih, Beta 1, Beta 2, Kuningan Merah, Sari, Boko, and Jago) plus six accession from Unitri and Brawijaya University collections (BIS OP-61-OP-22 , 73-6 / 2, 73 OP-8, BIS OP-61, 73 OP-5, and BIS OP-61-♀-29). The biochar dose used was B0 (0 t / ha) and B1 (5 t / ha). The experimental unit is measuring 5 m x 0.6 m, consisting of single row and planted with a spacing of 25 cm in row or 20 cuttings/row). The storage root numbers, storage root weight, % dry matter, Harvest Index (HI) and yields estimation are ditermined. Abstract

Objectives of this study were to elucidate efficiency level of rubber marketing at Dusun Tengah District, Barito Timur Regency. The study was conducted at. 60 farmers were randomly selected from three villages of Unsum, Lenggang and Puri, Dusun Tengah District. Samples of marketing agencies were selected based on non probability sampling method. Data analyses were analysis of profit function, and analysis of marketing, as well as descriptive analysis on market structure, performance and conduct to qualitatively measure marketing efficiency. Results of the study showed that there we two marketing channels in the study area, i.e. channel 1: Farmer –trader 1 –trader II (distributor) – rubber processing factory, and channel 2: Farmer –trader II (distributor)- rubber processing factory. Analysis of marketing margin indicated that price share received by farmers was 67,35%, whereas that received by trader I was 79,59%, and that received by trader II (distributor) was 100%. Marketing margin was not evenly distributed in between trader I and trader II (distributor) as trader II received the highest margin of 40,94%

Abstract

The research that was aimed to create a new variation on sweet potato population was conducted at 2003 and 2004. Crossing between two introduction clones (Beniazuma and BIS-214) as a parent of bearing tuber-protein content genes with five clones of tuber high yield potential, was obtained 1157 genotypes of new hybrid F1. The selection result found 168 new clones having minimum yield as 0.5 kg/plant or  20 ton/ha and 3% tuber protein content on dry weight basis. Among 168 clones there were 21 genotypes with protein yield range from 1.0-2.5 ton protein content/ha
