Abstract

Objective: The aim of this research is to study p53 gene mutations in the mammary gland ofDMBA-induced Sprague Dawley rats treated with the ethanol extract of Gynura procumbens.Methods: Sprague Dawley female rats aged 40 days were used. DMBA positive control animalswere treated with 20 mg/kg bw DMBA; Gynura-extract positive control animals were treatedwith 300 or 750 mg/kgbw G. procumbens extract without DMBA treatment; experimentalanimals were treated with 300 or 750 mg/kg bw G. procumbens extract and 20 mg/kg bwDMBA, intragastric, while negative control animals neither treated with DMBA nor G.procumbens extract. Each group consists of 5 animals. Palpation and necropsy of mammaryglands was conducted at the end of the experiment. Mutation of p53 was studied in exon-6 of thisgene, in triple or less, depended on available samples.Result: G. procumbens extract generally suppress tumor incidence in DMBA treated animals.p53 sequence showing some point mutations which also affect on its amino acid sequence, but itwas not exclusively occurred in DMBA treated animals.Conclusion: Based on this research we can not conclude that tumor incidence in this experimentwas resulted by the mutation of p53 gene.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the substitution pattern of nucleotide base and haplotype diversity of Indonesian swamp buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) based on the mitochondrial DNA cyt b partial gene sequence. 17 samples were chosen from 7 different regions with each uniquely represents Indonesian biogeography which comprise Aceh, Riau, Madiun, Blitar, Lombok, South Borneo and Tana Toraja. The result of cyt b gene sequence alignment showed the presence of transition and transversion substitutions and the absence of insertion and deletion. The amount of transitions was found to be higher than that of transversions and the amount of substitution in pyrimidine was also higher than that in purine. The highest amount of transitions happened in base TàC which is a silent substitution. The result of median joining network analysis showed that Indonesian haplotype Bubalus bubalis could be classified into 16 haplotypes which form different haplogroups unique to their geographical region. The result of median joining network analysis also indicated that the genetic relationships of swamp buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) in Indonesia are highly influenced by their geographical locations.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to determine the influence of attitude, subjective norm, behavioral control, muzakki incomen, muzakki education, and muzakki knowledge to the muzakki intention of paying profession zakah. The method of the research is a quantitative method while data analysis techniques use multiple regression analysis. Number of samples analyze are 150 respondents drawn at random from all areas of Jakarta. Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of learning by developing character-based teaching materials research animal physiology courses. This research method is the development of module manufacturing as a source of learning based on the research that has been done, including a description, picture research and implementation process that include sites expected character, whether written or unwritten is adapted from Dick and Carey learning system to make some adjustments. The results obtained are based on the calculation and conversion of valuation module by module expert instructional materialsby 71, 66%. Based on the results of the conversion, the preparation of the module other wise well qualified and do not need to be revised. The results of the assessment calculation and conversion modules by physiologists by 85%. Based on the results of  the conversion, the module qualification other wise excellent preparation and do not need to be revised. Conclusion are obtained the results by the developing of characterized teaching materials based on the results of experiment is feasible and can be used to support lectures to enhance the quality of teaching Animal Physiology courses in college.Kata kunci: Kualitas pembelajaran fisiologi hewan, bahan ajar berkarakter

Abstract

The objective of the study was to develop an immunology book for Animal and Human Physiology subject. This book was developed based on the Thiagarajan development model which was modified of: Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate (4D). The data expert validation instrument was questionnaire using Likert scales, comments, and recommendation sheets. Expert appraisal was done by  material expert and media and design learning expert. The developmental testing was conducted using questionnaire to test the readibility.  The  expert validation was conducted by material expert as well as design and media learning expert validator; meanwhile, the field test was done to measure the  readability. The validity test results were: the material expert state that the material is valid (97.14%), as well as the design and learning media expert (84.88%) and field test by students (88.17%).

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determined the effect of Think Talk Write combined Problem Based Learning model to students character and cognitive learning outcomes. The research is a quasi-experimental research with Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample is XI MIPA 2 class and XI MIPA 3 of SMAN 6 Malang. Data from character obtained from questionnaire student character. Data cognitive learning outcomes obtained from essay tests. This data analyzed using Anacova. The results showed that Think Talk Write combined Problem Based Learning model affect the students character and cognitive learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) dipadu Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap karakter dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Postest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 2 dan XI MIPA 3 di SMAN 6 Malang. Data karakter diperoleh dari angket karakter siswa, sedangkan data hasil belajar kognitif siswa diperoleh dari tes essay. Data tersebut dianalisis mengunakan uji Anacova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran TTW dipadu PBL berpengaruh terhadap karakter dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials in the form of handout that equipped with RPS, SAP, and assessment instruments consist of psychomotor and attitude. This handout based on local potential in West Sumatra as supporting animal ecology course with a discussion of the dynamics of animal populations, especially in fish endemic named bilih fish. This research is a development research that reference to the model of Borg and Gall (1983), includes 10 stages, namely (1) information collection, (2) planning, (3) early product development, (4) introduction field testing, (5) product revision , (6) the main field trials, (7) the revised operational products, (8) operational field trials, (9) the final revision product, and (10) the dissemination and implementation. Development handout only done until the fifth stage. Validity of the product development assessment by expert learning validator, subject experts, and two expert field practitioners. Percentage validation results handout respectively, are 97.9%, 92.7%, 94.3%. The results of introduction field testing that conducted by 12 biology students of STKIP PGRI West Sumatra that has been studying the material of animal population dynamics. The results of introduction field testing is 88.8%. Percentage of validation results RPS, SAP, and Instruments by expert lecturers respectively 97.8%, 93.8% and 96.2%. The average percentage of product development and validation of introduction field testing were categorized excellent.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa handout yang dilengkapi dengan RPS, SAP, dan instrumen penilaian psikomotorik dan penilaian sikap. Handout ini berbasis potensi lokal di Sumatera Barat sebagai penunjang matakuliah Ekologi Hewan dengan bahasan tentang dinamika populasi hewan khususnya pada ikan endemik, yaitu ikan bilih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan mengacu pada model Borg & Gall (1983) meliputi 10 tahapan, yaitu (1) pengumpulan informasi, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) uji lapangan pendahuluan, (5) revisi produk, (6) uji coba lapangan utama, (7) revisi produk operasional, (8) uji coba lapangan operasional, (9) revisi produk akhir, dan (10) diseminasi dan implementasi. Pengembangan handout hanya dilakukan sampai tahap kelima yaitu revisi produk. Kevalidan produk pengembangan diukur dengan penilaian oleh validator ahli pembelajaran, ahli materi, dan dua ahli praktisi lapangan. Persentase hasil validasi handout berturut-turut, yaitu 97,9%, 92,7%, 94,3%. Hasil Uji coba lapangan pendahuluan dilakukan oleh 12 mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat program studi Biologi yang sudah mempelajari materi dinamika populasi hewan. Hasil uji coba lapangan pendahuluan sebesar 88,8%. Persentase hasil validasi RPS, SAP, dan instrumen oleh dosen ahli berturut-turut sebesar 97,8%, 93,8%, dan 96,2%. Rata-rata persentase hasil validasi produk pengembangan dan uji coba lapangan berada pada kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

SMP 18 Malang used as a place to study because there are elements of inquiry has actually been used by teachers, but still fragmentary, syntactic inquiry has not been implemented in full. Learning science most are still using the conventional method of the lectures. The medium used there only rely on manual print books, there module be accompanied inquiry interactive multimedia no one has made. Inquiry-based modules with interactive multimedia expected to be used to support student learning. This type of research is the development of research. The research model development using Thiagarajan. Stages Thiagarajan models include define, design, develop, and desseminate. However on hold at the stage of development research desseminate. Analysis of data using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed 82.14% of matter expert validation, validation media experts 83.33%, teachers validation 98.88%, validation students 94.19%. Based on the achievement of product development validation results are valid and fit for use. Suggestions that more needs to be done should be printed and manufactured product development.Materi yang dianggap masih sulit kebanyakan yang terkait dengan mekanisme kerja organ. SMP 18 Malang dijadikan untuk tempat penelitian karena disana unsur-unsur inkuiri sebenarnya sudah digunakan oleh guru, namun masih terpisah-pisah, sintak inkuiri belum dilaksanakan secara utuh. Pembelajaran IPA kebanyakan masih dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan metode konvensional yaitu dengan ceramah. Media yang digunakan di sana hanya mengandalkan buku cetak panduan, di sana modul berbasis inkuiri disertai multimedia interaktif belum ada yang membuat. Modul berbasis inkuiri disertai multimedia interaktif diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai penunjang belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model penelitian pengembangan menggunakan Thiagarajan. Tahapan model pengembangan Thiagarajan meliputi define, design, develop, dan desseminate. Namun pada tahan penelitian pengembangan hanya pada tahapan desseminate. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validasi ahli materi 82,14%, validasi ahli media 83,33%, validasi guru 98,88%, validasi siswa 94,19%. Berdasarkan pencapaian hasil validasi produk pengembangan telah valid dan layak digunakan. Saran yang perlu dilakukan lebih lanjut sebaiknya produk pengembangan dicetak dan diproduksi.

Abstract

The education level of the matoa farmer in Sukorejo is low it is caused their lessable to innovate the matoa fruit processing. Matoa fruit can be processed into nata from matoa. The nata process understanding is need the booklet for educational media. This research is a development research. The research is done to develop a booklet about Nata de Matoa. The validation and testing result shows that the booklet is worthy to use and applied for the society.Tingkat pendidikan petani buah matoa di Kecamatan Sukorejo yang rendah menyebabkan mereka kurang mampu melakukan inovasi dalam pengolahan buah matoa. Buah matoa dapat diolah menjadi nata. Salah satu upaya untuk memahami proses pembuatan nata ialah melalui penyusunan media pendidikan nonformal, berupa booklet. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan booklet penyuluhan pembuatan nata de matoa. Hasil validasi dan uji keterbacaan menunjukkan bahwa booklet layak digunakan dan diterapkan di masyarakat.
