Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the use of Instructional Media Powerpoint- Based and emotional intelligence on descriptive writing skill of Junior High School students number eight Muaro Jambi class seven. This is quantitative with quasi-experimental study which was conducted in two classes, VII D class as the experimental class (has treatment) and class VII F as a control class (has no treatment) . Overall results of the research showed that there is no effect of the use of instructional media powerpoint-based and emotional intelligence on descriptive writing skill of Junior High School students class seven at 95% level of significant. This is because of three hypotheses proposed, only one hypothesis stated that H1 received. The rest, hypothesis two and three H0 received. The results of hypotheses testing to hypotheses one, two, and three, are: (1) There is an effect of instructional media powerpoint-based on descriptive writing skill of Junior High School students, (2) There is no effect of emotional intelligence on descriptive writing skill of Junior High School students, (3) There is no interaction between instructional media powerpoint-based and emotional intelligence. It is true that the result of hypothesis testing on hypothesis one that there is an effect of instructional media powerpoint-based, but the effect is not significant. Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kategori dan ekspresi lingustik bidang pertanian Sasak tradisional di pulau Lombok, yang dikaitkan dengan konteks sosio-kultural masyarakat tani setempat. Untuk tujuan tersebut, kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sementara untuk analisis data digunakan analisis komponen. Analisis dipusatkan pada leksikon dan ekspresi linguistik pada ranah pertanian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa dalam ranah pertanian itu selalu memunculkan istilah-istilah yang menjadi ekspresi/kategori linguistiknya. Ekspresi linguistik itu berbentuk kategori verba dan nomina. Urutan pengklasifikasian/ pengategorian terhadap ekspresi linguistik—baik nomina maupun verba—pun disesuaikan dengan rangkaian proses aktivitas pertanian dan hasil yang diperoleh. Untuk itu, pengategorisasiaan yang ada didasarkan pada komponen makna generik yang menyesuaikan proses dan hasil—verba dan nomina—dalam ranahnya itu.Kata Kunci: kategori dan ekspresi linguistik, analisis komponensial, etnosemantik.

Abstract

   This study is a correlational research that aims to find the relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation with English writing skills description paragraph. This study used survey method with correlation with the number of 105 students in MTs and equal Classes VII District of East Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara province and selected randomly. Instrument in the form of questionnaires and tests validated through testing expertise and the calculation of Pearson Product Moment and reliability testing done using Cronbach Alpha. Verification of the hypothesis is done by regression analysis and found the regression model, and the correlation coefficient between emotional intelligence, learning motivation with English writing skills description paragraph. The results showed that the relationship between emotional intelligence with English writing skills description paragraph is .341 (α .05). The relationship between learning motivation and English writing skills description paragraph is .153 (α, .05). Found a correlation coefficient of emotional intelligence and learning motivation with English writing skills description paragraph is .580 (α, .05). Based on these results it can be concluded that English writing skills description paragraph can be influenced by emotional intelligence and students learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan Penyuluhan Penggunaan Pungtuasi pada Karya Tulis Siswa Kelas XI IPA MA Raudlatusshibyan NW Belencong Gunung Sari dilaksanakan dengan dasar sering abainya penutur bahasa Indonesia terhadap aturan berbahasa Indonesia lisan dan tulis. Pengabaian aturan itu dilakukan secara sadar dan tidak sadar. Pengabaian aturan tidak hanya dilakukan oleh masyarakat awam, tetapi juga dilakukan oleh kaum terpelajar di lingkungan perguruan tinggi serta instansi-instansi pemerintah.Kegiatan dilaksanakan di MA Raudlatusshibyan NW Belencong dengan melibatkan siswa kelas XI IPA.  Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pemberian materi, diskusi, dan pemecahan masalah dalam bentuk soal-soal. Materi penyuluhan adalah penggunaan pungtuasi berdasarkan Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia sesuai dengan Permendikbud nomor 50 tahun 2015.            Kegiatan penyuluhan dapat dikatakan berhasil berdasarkan serapan peserta terhadap materi yang dibuktikan dengan kemampuan peserta dalam menyelesaikan persoalan yang diberikan. Peserta merasa kegiatan semacam ini penting karena membuat mereka sadar bahwa penggunaan pungtuasi yang mereka pahami sebelumnya masih terdapat banyak kekeliruan. Untuk itu, kegiatan semacam ini perlu digalakkan demi terjaganya bahasa Indonesia yang baik, terutama benar.Kata Kunci: penyuluhan, penggunaan pungtuasi, karya tulis.Abstract: Elucidation activity of Punctuation Usage on Student Writing Class XI IPA MA Raudlatusshibyan NW Belencong Gunung Sari is implemented on the basis of frequent Indonesian speakers’ misuses on Indonesian oral and written rules. The ignorance of the rules is done consciously and unconsciously. The ignorance of rules is not only done by ordinary people, but also done by educated people in the environment of universities and government agencies.The activity was held in MA Raudlatusshibyan NW Belencong by involving students of class XI IPA. Activities are carried out in the form of giving materials, discussion, and problem solving in the form of questions. The extension material is the use of punctuation based on the Spelling General Guidelines of Indonesia in accordance with Permendikbud number 50 of 2015.This elucidation activity can be said to succeed based on participants absorption of the material as evidenced by the ability of participants in solving the given problem. Participants feel this kind of activity is important because it makes them aware that the use of punctuations that they understand before there are still many mistakes. For that, this kind of activity should be encouraged in order to maintain good Indonesian usage.Keywords:elucidation, punctuation usage, academic writing.

Abstract

Multimedia pembelajaran merupakan suatu kombinasi dari berbagai media yang dirancang atau diprogram secara terstruktur dan interaktif untuk menyajikan konsep pembelajaran. Hendaknya dipersiapkan multimedia pembelajaranuntuk membantu memudahkan pembelajaran agar siswadapat memahamikonsepdanmerepresentasikan konsep pembelajaran matematika.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis teori APOS (aksi, proses, objek dan skema) dan efektivitasnya terhadap pembelajaran pada materi statistika dan peluang yang valid menurut ahli. Efektivitas pembelajaran diukur denganpeningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis dan multimedia dipersepsikan dengan baik oleh siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaranmatematika dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket penilaianahli materi dan ahli desain pembelajaran, angket tanggapan guru dan siswa, persepsi siswa, dan tes hasil kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Dari hasil analisis tes kemampuan representasi didapat peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada kategori tinggi, berdasarkan uji gain untuk materi statistika skor yang diperoleh 0,7 dan materi peluang skor uji gain diperoleh 1,3. Dan hasil analisis dari angket persepsi siswa didapat persentase 95% menunjukkan kategori ?sangat positif?. Dapat disimpulkan multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sangat baik dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Sehingga multimedia pembelajaran efektiv digunakan oleh guru dan siswa SMA khususnya pada pembelajaran materi statistika dan peluang.Kata Kunci : Multimedia Pembelajaran, Teori APOS, Efektivitas Multimedia learning is a combination of various media that are designed or programmed in a structured and interactive way to present the concept of learning. Multimedia learning should be prepared to help facilitate learning so students can understand the concept and represent the concept of mathematics learning. The purpose of this study was to develop a multimedia learning mathematics based on APOS theory (actions, processes, objects and schemes) and its effectiveness on learning in statistical materials and valid opportunities according to experts. The effectiveness of learning is measured by increasing the ability of mathematical representations and multimedia are well perceived by students. This type of research is development research that develops multimedia mathematics learning and the instruments used are questionnaires for assessment of material experts and expert learning design, questionnaires of teacher and student responses, student perceptions and test results of studentsmathematical representation abilities. From the results of the analysis of the representation ability test obtained an increase in students mathematical representation ability in the high category, based on the gain test for statistical material the score obtained was 0,7 and the probability material gain test score was 1,3. And the results of the analysis of the student perception questionnaire obtained a percentage of 95% showed the category ?very positive?. It can be concluded that multimedia learning that is developed is very good and can improve students mathematical representation abilities. So that effective multimedia learning is used by teachers and high school students, especially in learning statistical materials and opportunities.Keywords: Learning Multimedia, APOS Theory, Effectiveness

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa kelas I SD Inpres Kaleke dalam membaca permulaan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 SD Inpres Kaleke. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 SD Inpres Kaleke dengan penggunaan media gambar. Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yaitu: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, dilakukan pada siswa kelas I SD Inpres Kaleke dengan jumlah siswa 28 orang. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dapat  Hal ini dapat dilihat pada siklus I presentase ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 40,21.  pembelajaran ini belum mencapai KKM 75%. Dilanjutkan pada siklus II yang keberhasilan pembelajaran mencapai presentase ketuntasan klasikal yaitu, 76,19. Dalam hal ini terjadi kenaikan sebesar 35,98 %. Dengan capaian, dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas satu SD Inpres Kaleke. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data empiris mengenai peningkatanketerampilan menulis teks naratif dalam bahasa Indonesia tentang lingkungan sekolah melalui teknik mind mapping di kelas IV SDN 2 Semoyang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN2semoyang.Penelitian di kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan desain PenelitianTindakan Kelas menggunakan metode spiral atau siklus dari Stephen Kemmis danMC. Tanggart. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilakukan melalui tahapan perencanaan,pelaksanaan, dan observasi, serta refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan denganmenggunakan instrument tes berupa soal pemahaman berupa uraian, instrumentpemantau tindakan pembelajaran menggunakan teknik mind mapping dan catatanlapangan. Hasil yang diperolehpenelitian ini adalah adanya peningkatan keterampilan pemahaman konsep siswapada materi lingkungan sekolahdengan menggunakan teknik mind mapping.Persentase kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada siklus I 63,33%, dansiklus II mencapai 86,66%. Pemahaman siswa meningkat karena efektifitaspembelajaran melalui penerapan teknik mind mapping. Hasil dari data yangdikumpulkan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia padamateri lingkungan sekolahmenggunakan teknik mind mapping dapatmeningkatkan keterampilan pemahaman konsep siswa yang diukur melalui lembartes dan pengamatan tindakan yang dilakukan pada siklus I, dan siklus II. Implikasidari hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang diperolehakan semakin meningkat jika dalam pembelajaran menggunakan teknik yangtepat, efektif, dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe the metaphorical image in sêsênggak (Sasak proverbs) which is based on the types of reference as the target domain (tenor) and source domain (vehicle); and to uncover the meaning or significance. The data are collected through participant observation method and in-depth interview with key informants. The results show, on one hand, that the sociocultural background of the Sasak community gives the most dominant contribution in sêsênggak’s lexicon (language). On the other, that socio-cultural background has much mpression on the various humanitarian issues involving sêsênggak, which is created to control (directive-prohibitive) and to evaluate the attitude or behavior of a person or a certain group of people. On that ground, sêsênggak was born from some unique mixtures of the natural environment and the socio-cultural organization of thoughts, opinions, memories, senses, experiences, knowledge, imaginations, creativities, sensitivities, intelligences, as well as consciousness, which are based on the rules, the laws, and the societal structures. These mixtures become a united, coherent, rational, and organized expression in the framework of language and conscience.

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the development of students’ worksheet of a mathematics subject for deaf students and finding out the effectivity of mathematics worksheet for deaf students toward the learning process. Multiplication is selected due to its ability to represent mathematics subject which will be developed for deaf students. This research uses research and development method (R&D) with 6 deaf subjects in grade V in special needs education Sri Soedewi Masjchun Sofwan Jambi. This research applies the ADDIE model, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collected are qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data are collected from media expert validity and learning design, material expert validity, teachers’ respond from deaf class, and questionnaire result of students’ perception of learning media which has been created. Meanwhile, quantitative data are collected from the final test. Valid students’ worksheet is based on the questionnaire administered to the validator. 79% of students’ responds show positive respond and 83,3% of learning completion. It shows that mathematics worksheet developed feasible to use in the learning process.
