Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze the methods and the customer satisfaction measurement results; 2) analyze the satisfaction of customer based on alternatives method by using Servqual approach and EPA; 3) Analyze the comparison between method and the customer satisfaction measurement results; 4) formulate recommendations for improvement of measurement methods and results of customer satisfaction in the Technical Implementation Unit Testing Certification-Institute for Product Quality Tobacco Jember. The processing of the data in this study was used the analysis of Service Quality (Servqual) and Expectation-Performance Analysis (EPA). The results of this study including: 1) Attributes which are considered sufficient by the IKM UPT measurement result  are nine attributes: the effectiveness and efficiency of service, courtesy, friendliness, and obtain justice and other services; 2) Attribute selected as a top priority improvements based on EPA method is the availability of equipment and the latest technology; 3) Methods and results of measuring the level of customer satisfaction can be compared based on: the number of dimensions and attributes of service; outputs and implications of measurement methods; measurement results; 4) Recommendations for improvement, the management should renew equipment and the latest technology in testing and calibration laboratories, and increase equipment and the latest technology at the service of fumigation.Keywords: EPA, service quality, servqual, UPT PSMB-LT JemberABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan 1) menganalisis metode dan hasil pengukuran indek kepuasan masyarakat; 2) menganalisis tingkat kepuasan pelanggan berdasarkan alternatif metode melalui pendekatan Servqual dan EPA; 3) menganalisis perbandingan antara metode dan hasil pengukuran kepuasan pelanggan; 4) merumuskan rekomendasi perbaikan metode dan hasil pengukuran kepuasan pelanggan pada Unit Pelaksana Teknis Pengujian Sertifikasi Mutu Barang-Lembaga Tembakau Jember. Pengolahan data penelitian menggunakan metode Service Quality (Servqual) dan metode Expectation-Performance Analysis (EPA). Hasil penelitian, yaitu 1) Atribut yang dinilai cukup oleh pelanggan hasil pengukuran IKM UPT terdapat sembilan artibut, antara lain: efektivitas dan efisiensi pelayanan, kesopanan, keramahan, dan keadilan mendapatkan pelayanan dan lainnya. 2) Atribut terpilih sebagai prioritas utama perbaikan berdasarkan metode EPA yaitu ketersediaan peralatan dan teknologi terbaru. 3) Metode dan hasil pengukuran tingkat kepuasan pelanggan dapat dibandingkan berdasarkan: jumlah dimensi dan atribut pelayanan; output dan implikasi metode pengukuran; hasil pengukuran. 4) Rekomendasi perbaikan, yaitu manajemen hendaknya memperbaharui peralatan dan teknologi terbaru pada laboratorium pengujian dan kalibrasi, serta menambah peralatan dan teknologi terbaru pada pelayanan fumigasi.Kata kunci: EPA, kualitas jasa, servqual, UPT PSMB-LT Jember

Abstract

The egg’s quality that are easily declined requires preservation methods, one of them is salting. Banyuwangi’s people have known kepayang or kluwak nuts (Pangium edule Reinw) as local wisdom that can be used as food processed material. Cyanide acid, flavonoid, and tannin compounds inside it capable of preserving foodstuffs. This study aimed to analyze the effect of kluwak nuts natural preservative to sensory quality and storability of salted eggs. This research used experimental method by testing sensory quality and storability on three replications, organoleptic test by asking 30 panelists to test color, odor, taste, and hedonic. Storability test is done by storing salted eggs at room temperature. The data analyzed using statistical calculation using SPSS software. The result showed that: (1) The higher concentration of kluwak nuts essence, aroma, taste, sandy level, customer preferences, and egg weight’s change during storage decreased, while yolk color increased; (2) The longer storage time, yolk color, aroma, taste, and customer preferences decreased, whereas sandy level and egg weight’s change during storage increased; (3) There was interaction between kluwak nuts essence adding with storability of all parameters.  Keywords: kluwak nuts essence, local wisdom, salted eggs, sensory quality, storability

Abstract

Penyuluhan pertanian merupakan suatu upaya atau proses kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam rangka pemberdayaan masyarakatdan petani. Peran penyuluhan di Kabupaten Banyuwangi dalam memajukan sektor pertanian didukung oleh Pemerintah daerah.Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan produksi padi meningkat setiap tahun. produksi padi pada tahun 2008 hingga 2010, namun pola initidak berlanjut pada tahun 2011 dikarenakan terjadinya perubahan iklim secara global. Sistem budidaya pertanian di DesaWatu Kebo, Kecamatan Rogojampi secara umum belum menerapkan sistem tanam baru, tetapi beberapa kelompok tani sudahmenerapkan beberapa sistem tanam seperti: sistem tanam Jajar Legowo, SRI, Aston, Labela dan lain sebagainya. Inovasi baruperan penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan penerapan di Kelompok Tani Sumber Urip sistem tanam 454diharapkan mampu memberikan pengaruh baik dalam jumlah produksi dan produktivitas padi yang dihasilkan.Keberhasilan sistem tanam 454 peran pelatihan dan pendampingan harus bersinergi satu sama lainnya. Keberlangsunganprogram ini harapanya dapat menjadi prioritas utama bagi Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Banyuwangi khususnya DinasPertanian, Perkebunan dan Kehutanan dalam program berkelanjutan petani padi.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the Banyuwangi district food crops which has the potential to continue to be seeded besides rice, corn, peanuts, green beans, cassava, and sweet potatoes. Banyuwangi Regency was designated as one of the national soybean barns by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia since 2015 with an area of 100 hectares in Muncar District. The soybean varieties developed are New Superior Varieties (VUB). The productivity obtained eaches 3 tons per hectare beyond the national soybean productivity average if 1.5 tons per hectare. The most important part of soybeans is soybean seeds. One product produced by soybean seeds is tofu. Tofu is a staple food for the people of Indonesia, causing demand to continue to increase so IKM knows that it continues to strive to meet market needs. Banyuwangi Regency makes processed tofu as a typical snack called tahu walik. Tahu walik is one of the typical Banyuwangi snacks made from fried tofu which is reserved so that inside of the tofu is outside and filled with chicken dough. The majority of the people in Gitik Village, Rogojampi District have a business processing soybeans into white tofu products and household-scale fried tofu. The quality of the tofu produced still has high water content. The amount of tofu produced is still small, this is caused by the use of traditional tofu presses. The transition from traditional tofu presses to modern ones is expected to be able to improve the quality and quantity of products obtained.

Abstract

Ketahanan pangan merupakan salah satu prioritas utama dalam Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah (RPJMN) 2015-2019 yang berfokus pada peningkatan ketersediaan pangan, pemantaban distribusi pangan, percepatan penganekaragaman pangan, dan pengawasan keamanan pangan segar. Kabupaten Banyuwangi memiliki banyak perkebunan kakao, baik yang diusahakan oleh rakyat maupun perkebunan negara (PTPN XII). Desa Sumberagung Kecamatan Pesanggaran merupakan daerah yang mayoritas penduduknya memiliki perkebunan kakao rakyat. Penanganan pasca panen dimulai dari proses panen, pemecahan buah kakao, fermentasi, dan pengeringan masih dilakukan secara manual. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra salah satunya adalah pemecahan buah kakao yang masih dilakukan secara manual dengan menggunakan pisau sehingga selain membutuhkan waktu yang lama, juga dapat mengurangi kualitas biji kakao karena rusaknya biji oleh pisau. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini memberikan suatu inovasi alat pemecah buah kakao. Alat pemecah buah kakao ini nantinya diharapkan mampu menawarkan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi oleh petani mitra. Aplikasi alat ini mampu menghemat waktu petani dalam memecah buah kakao dan menjaga biji agar tetap utuh sehingga akan lebih efisien dan kualitas biji dapat terjaga.

Abstract

Hama ulat buah yang sering dijumpai petani melon yaitu serangan hama ulat serta residu pestisida kimiawi yang tinggi.  Pemakaian pestisida kimia dengan biaya tinggi, tidak ramah lingkungan sehingga sulit mendapatkan buah melon organik. Pengendalian hama ulat buah dengan menggunakan pestisida nabati menjadi salah satu alternatif, yaitu buah bintaro (Cerbera manghas) yang mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid yang bersifat toksik, repellent. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pestisida nabati larutan ekstrak buah bintaro mampu mengendalikan populasi hama ulat buah melon. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan semakin menurunnya populasi hama ulat buah melon dengan semakin tingginya konsentrasi pestisida nabati ekstrak buah bintaro.
