Abstract

Air conditioning process is a technique that can be used to adjust preferable condition of air temperature in a room so an appropriate condition can be achieved. Cooling pocess is a room can be identified as a transferring process of heat from that room into other places. This absorbing or transferring process is not as casy as the process of interesting the heat into the room. In absorbing process of the heat, it is necessary to use certain equipment and careful activities, particularly in choosing the right devices and planning activities choosing cooling procedures. Those device must be really determinated by several factors such as the quantity of the absorbed heat, duration and capacity of utilized devices.

Abstract

Capacity of a pump is the fundamental data used in selecting certain pump. The flowing speed of the pump is very useful to determine the pumps capacity for irrigating process. This capacity must fulfill utilizing requirements which focus on two main criteria : 1) total capacity of pumps must provide maximum necessity (necessity on the highest point),  2) those pumps must be able to work efficiently and continously in the fluctuating condition. In order to fulfill the two criteria above it is necessary to use two ore more pumps with same capacity.

Abstract

Bunch empy falm (TKS) is dust of fabrics palm oil, need handle seriussely, because of total relatif big and every year increase. This research objective is structures identification and phisic character TKS force analysis and sfecific cut energy and technic evaluation mchine of counter TKS with use meansurenment cutter specement. Structur identifition with eah sample are 15 spcies, weight 1,0 kg – 8,2. Cutting proces used variate edge angle (ANE) 250, 300,350, shear angle (SA) 00, 150, 300, and abligue angle (ANO) 200, 300, 400, Result of strukture identification TKS are 35,80 % bucnh 57,40 % sipkelet, and 6,80 not yet breaking loctly bucnh an center 73,9 % midel 78,8 %, and 17,66 %. Result of measurenment specific force cutting (GPS) and energi cutting (EPS) minimum bucnh 38,51 N/cm2 and 0,3 N/cm2 , on spikelet minimum GPS 135 N/cm2, minimum EPS 0,989 N/cm2, with used ANE 250, ANO 00, and SA 0o.

Abstract

At this time in the process of sweeping the road still using traditional tools by janitors, for example broom sticks. One of the technologies that began to develop was the Street Sweeper machine. This Street Sweeper is a tool to help alleviate the work of janitors in terms of road sweeping. Sweeping the highway using the Street Sweeper is one of the main steps to accelerate the process of sweeping the highway with rapid traffic flow. The working principle of this machine is by utilizing thrust from humans, by means of a machine being pushed and directed to the garbage scattered on the road. Therefore it is very appropriate to use Street Sweeper to sweep the road compared to using manual tools because it can save work time

Abstract

Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy in wind into clean electricity. When the wind spins the wind turbines blades, a rotor captures the kinetic energy of the wind and converts it into rotary motion to drive the generator. Wind electric systems are one of the most cost-effective home-based renewable energy systems with zero emissions and pollution. Many factors that influence the performance of wind turbines such as wind speed, blade shape, and number of blades. In Generator, Coil number of turn (N) also influence performance of wind turbine. Manufacture of wind turbine prototype as a learning medium to facilitate students in understanding the concept of wind electric system. Results of the test prototype wind turbine if the wind speed the greater the resulting voltage will be higher, the Coil number of turn (N) also affects the voltage generated.

Abstract

Forging is a metal processing with state of deformation in the heat with a blow system. Some of the products produced by the industry wrought blacksmith like machetes, knives, hoes, Dodos, tools, household, agricultural, and equipment for agriculture and plantations. In general, the blacksmith business production is very limited and do not meet all the required quality standards, it is constrained in the process of forging forging products are still done manually with hammer blows repeatedly driven by hand. The purpose of this research is the design of machinery forging hammer spring system that works mechanically. With this engine the forging process becomes easier, production and product quality small blacksmith forging industry can be improved. From the results of the activities that have been implemented resulting machine forging hammer spring system with a size of 1.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 (m) by using a hammer tap mechanically driven by electric motors. The resulting machine uses 2 HP electric motor, using a flywheel as an addition to the pressure at the hammer presses the workpiece, and the clutch as successor breaker round, and spring hammer spring as conductor of the pressure fluctuation. So the use of the components of the flywheel and this springs capability of forging machine in one hit can reduce the depth of the workpiece to 2-3 mm, and the resulting number of strokes ± 200-250 blows / min.

Abstract

Biogas is a gas fermentation of organic materials which contain most of the gas methane, carbon dioxide, few of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen and ammonia. One of technological development of biogas production is anaerobic reactor. The processing of biogas technology is influenced by several factors, such as temperature and humidity. In this study, temperature is adjusted using a spiral system and biogas reactor which submerged into the water. The temperature of water can be controlled. In another case there is reactor without temperature setting as a comparison. The observation shows that the reactor in the water produces most biogas, reactor spiral in second place and reactor without heating in the last one.

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gelombang Laut -Sistem Bandulan (PLTGL-SB) yang rancang-bangunnya berbentuk ponton di tempatkan mengapung di atas permukaan air laut, dan PLTGL-SB tersebut akan mengikuti gerak/arus gelombang sesuai dengan frekwensi gelombang laut, sehingga menyebabkan posisi PLTGL-SB selalu bergerak terombang ambing sesuai dengan alur gelombang. Karena gerakan terombang ambing ponton yang terus-menerus tersebut menyebabkan ayunan bandul yang akan dirubah jadi putaran generator dalam hal ini ada empat bandul, sehingga PLTGL-SB mengeluarkan Energi/Daya Listrik. Gerakan bandul yang bergoyang dirobah dengan menggunakan sistem trasmisi menjadi putaran yang dapat memutar dinamo/generator, dan generator yang digunakan adalah jenis putaran rendah 3 Phase AC dengan daya 500 Watt pada putaran 1400 rpm.

Abstract

Pembangkit  Listrik  Tenaga  Gelombang  Laut -Sistem  Bandulan  (PLTGL-SB)  yang  rancangbangunnya berbentuk ponton di tempatkan mengapung di atas permukaan air laut, dan PLTGL-SBtersebut akan mengikuti gerak/arus gelombang sesuai dengan frekwensi gelombang laut, sehinggamenyebabkan posisi PLTGL-SB selalu bergerak terombang ambing sesuai dengan alur gelombang.Karena  gerakan  terombang  ambing ponton yang  terus-menerus  tersebut menyebabkan  ayunanbandul yang akan dirubah jadi putaran generator dalam hal ini ada empat bandul, sehingga PLTGLSB  mengeluarkan  Energi/Daya  Listrik.Dan  menurut perhitungan,  untuk  panjang  pantai + 1km,terdapat  Energi  Potensial  Gelombang  Laut +10MW,  dengan  biaya  investasinya+ Rp35.000.000/kW, dan dapat menerangi + 40.000 rumah-tangga sederhana.
