Abstract

The Aplication of capacity design principles in seismic analysis is based on occurrence of global plastic mechanismi, characterized by the presence sufficient number of plastic hinges. The assurance of a good structural behaviour requires the verification of rotation capacity of these plastic hinges, which must be greater than the requered rotation. The puepose Of this paper is to review the factor influencing the avaible and required ductilities. The main conclusion of paper is the necessity of some urgent changing in code provisions conceming ductility checking.

Abstract

This paper explained about using winest in cost estimate a project construction. Cost estimate is a process to estimate cost, material, worker, and make time schedule. There are many software can be used for cost estimate a project construction like : Microsoft project, primavera, etc. But base on experience many engineer more prefer to use winest than other software because of easy, simple and familiar.

Abstract

This paper presents two basic concept in design of steel structure, they are allowabie stress design (ASD) and load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD). These concept has been applied in simple frame analysis. Allowable stress design used to Indonesian steel code that is PPBBI 1987, while LRFD will use in new Indonesian steel code : Result of analysis indicate that there are some difference between allowable stress concept especially in the case of loading. In LRFD concept there are a lot of load factor while in ASD concept only recognized safety factor. But LRFD concept more rational than ASD concept.

Abstract

Toe scour is one of phenomenon that frequently experienced by coastal structures and was realized as the causative factor to structure failure. When the structure was placed at coastal environment, existence of that structure will affecting flow pattern at area, one of them is the breaking wave event at around toe area. When breaking wave happened, energy dissipation caused by breaking process compensated in the form of vortex and improvement of flow intensity that have ability to moving bed material from its origin position of rest around the toe. This Research was focused for the breaking wave condition that producing local scouring at toe structure. Testing variable consists of wave height (H ), wave period (T) and water depth at toe (ds). The characteristic of structure was impermeable sloping wall. Physical Modeling was conducted at wave flume with 40 m length, 0.6 m width and 1.1 m height in Balai Hidraulika and Geoteknik Keairan (BHGK) PUSAIR, Bandung. Analysis of the result showed that improvement of toe scour was affected by breaking wave improvement, bed agitation caused by breaking process, down rush flow velocity, decreasing of water depth at toe and increasing of wave length

Abstract

This paper contains the results of an examination of the feasibility of building Inpres IV Market post earthquake in Padang on September 30, 2009.Based on data BMG, the earthquake occurred at 5:16:23 pm , the depth of 776 km with a magnitude of 7.9 Richter scale, positioned at 57 km southwest of Pariaman accompanied several aftershocks which also has a large enough magnitude scale. The Building of Inpres IV market is located in the city of Padang, West Sumatra Province was built in 1979.The upper structure of building Inpres IV Market is an open two-story frame structure made ​​of reinforced concrete. At this time, the building suffered damage caused by the earthquake. The purpose of the inspection is to obtain field data such as building configuration, structural elements that were damaged after the earthquake and material data and sampling for laboratory testing. in addition to the purpose of this inspection is also to provide technical advice on the level of reliability of the present building structure (existing) and provide recommendations for improvement and strengthening of the structure of the building is required to be able to function again. The analysis showed unsafe structures to withstand seismic forces (2nd floor structure), while in terms of the feasibility function is also not feasible. Suggested should Inpres market structure IV rebuilt in accordance with the conditions of necessity now.

Abstract

Abstrak. Struktur portal baja Eccentrically Braced Frame type–D (EBF-D) dengan link geser berpengaku badan dimodelkan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perangkat lunak MSC Nastran. Pembebanan diberikan secara monotonik dan siklik dengan kontrol perpindahan. Model struktur link geser berpengaku badan vertikal didesain dengan jarak pengaku sesuai dengan ketentuan AISC 2005. Model yang lain didesain menggunakan link geser berpengaku badan diagonal dengan jarak pengaku antara 30tw-d/5 sampai dengan panjang link (e) atau didesain tidak memenuhi syarat AISC 2005. Parameter  konfigurasi pengaku badan diagonal, jarak pengaku (a), panjang link (e), tebal badan link (tw), tebal sayap link (tf) dan tebal pengaku vertikal (tsv) maupun diagonal (tsd) diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kinerja struktur portal EBF-D link geser berpengaku badan diagonal lebih baik dibandingkan dengan berpengaku vertikal dari segi kekuatan, kekakuan,daktilitas maupun penyerapan energi dissipasi akibat beban gempa. Jarak optimal antara pengaku badan vertikal yang menggunakan pengaku diagonal diusulkan sebesar 1,6 (30tw-d/5) dengan ketebalan minimum pengaku badan diagonal 5,5 mm atau sama dengan tebal badan dan 8 mm untuk tebal minimum pengaku vertikal. Abstract. Eccentrically braced frame type-D (EBF-D) of steel structure with shear link web stiffener is modeled in this study using MSC Nastran software. The monotonic and cyclic loading is given under the displacement control. The shear link structure model with the vertical web stiffeners are designed with the spacing accordance to the provisions of AISC 2005. Other model is designed with shear link web stiffener diagonal with spacing between 30tw-d/5 to length of link (e) or designed ineligible to AISC 2005. The parameters of EBF-D with web stiffeners will be meansured to : configuration of the web stiffeners, the space of stiffener (a), length of the link (e), thickness of web link (tw), thickness of flange link (tf) and the thickness vertical web stiffeners (tsv) and diagonal (tsd). The results show that the performance of the portal structure of EBF-D shear link diagonal of web stiffener is better than vertical web stiffener both in terms of strength, stiffness, ductility and the absorption of energy dissipation due to earthquake loads. Optimal space between vertical web stiffeners using diagonal web stiffener is 1.6 by (30tw-d/5) with minimumthickness of diagonal web stiffener is 5.5 mm or equal which thickness web link and thickness minimum vertical web stiffeners is 8 mm.

Abstract

Abstrak. Makalah ini menyajikan studi eksperimental terhadap daktilitas struktur baja berupa portal sederhana dengan tujuan meneliti parameter-parameter yang berpengaruh terhadap daktilitas struktur baja, dan melakukan validasi terhadap usulan formula daktilitas struktur yang sedang dikembangkan melalui studi numerik. Sebelum dilakukan pengujian di Laboratorium terlebih dahulu dilakukan penelusuran teori-teori serta data-data dari hasil-hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Selanjutnya dilakukan simulasi komputer dengan menggunakan paket program analisis nonlinier MSC/NASTRAN untuk mengetahui parameter-parameter yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap daktilitas struktur portal baja sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa properti penampang (bf/2tf, h/bf), perbandingan tinggi kolom struktur dengan tinggi profil (H/h), serta tinggi kolom dengan lebar bentang struktur (H/L) merupakan parameter yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap nilai daktilitas. Validasi terhadap formula daktilitas yang diusulkan melalui studi numerik menunjukkan bahwa hasil numerik lebih bersifat konservatif, namun hasil analisis numerik dan eksperimen menunjukkan pola kurva daktilitas yang sama.Abstract. This paper presents experimental study of ductility parametric of steel structure. The purpose of this research to investigate the parametric influencing ductility of steel structure and to validate ductility formula obtained from numerical study. For this purpose, experimental data and modeling of specimen obtained from previous study and through simulation by nonlinear program MSC/NASTRAN. The result of investigation shows that: behavior of cross section (bf/2tf, h/bf), ratio height and width of structure (H/L) have great influence on the available ductility of steel structure. Validation of ductility formula show that the ductility the ductility value by experimental study is higher than numerical study, but the curve of ductility ratio shows the same behavior between experimental and numerical result.

Abstract

Abstrak. Makalah ini menyajikan hasil studi numerik yang meneliti perilaku link geser dengan menggunakan pengaku diagonal pada bagian badan untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya, pada sistem struktur baja berpengaku eksentrik (EBF). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti perilaku link geser dengan menggunakan pengaku diagonal pada bagian badan dibawah pembebanan statik monotonik dan siklik dengan kontrol perpindahan, riwayat pembebanan yang diberikan dalam pengujian ini sesuai dengan standar pembebanan AISC 2005. Analisis dilakukan dengan pendekatan elemen hingga Non-Linier dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak komputer MSC/NASTRAN. Link dimodelkan sebagai elemen shell yang ditumpu pada kedua ujungnya sedangkan beberapa nodal pada posisi pembebanan diperbolehkan untuk bertranslasi dalam satu arah saja (sumbu-y).. Beberapa parameter penting yang dianggap berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja link geser telah dianalisa mencakup: tebal sayap, tebal badan, tebal dan jarak pengaku badan, tebal pengaku diagonal dan geometrik pengaku diagonal. Perilaku link geser dengan pengaku diagonal badan dibandingkan dengan perilaku link standar yang direncanakan sesuai dengan ketentuan AISC 2005. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengaku diagonal badan dapat meningkatkan kinerja link geser dalam hal: kekuatan kekakuan dan dissipasi energi dalam menahan beban lateral. Namun, perbedaan nilai daktilitas antara link geser dengan pengaku diagonal badan dan link geser yang direncanakan sesuai standar AISC tidak begitu signifikan. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa ketebalan pengaku diagonal dan model geometrik pengaku tersebut berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja link geser. Abstract. This paper presents a numerical study to investigate the behaviour of shear link in case of enhancement of the shear link performance of Eccentrically Braced Frames (EBF) of steel structures by using diagonal web stiffenner. This research aims to investigate the behaviour of shear link with diagonal stiffenner under monotonic and cyclic of loading with displacement control, the loading hystory is applied to the model of link accordance with standard of AISC 2005. Non-Linier Finite Element Method is applied using the computer software of MSC/NASTRAN. Link is modeled as shell element and fixed at its both ends except for degree of freedom of the vertical displacement (y-direction) at the one end where the load is applied. Several important parameters of shear link has ben investigated: the thickness of flange, web and web stiffener, the space of web stiffner, the thickness of diagonal web stiffner and its geometric. The behaviour of shear link with diagonal  web stiffener is compared to the behaviour of the link designed in accordance with the AISC 2005 Standard Code of Practice. The results of the analysis show that the diagonal web stiffener increases the performance of the shear link in terms of strength, stiffness, energy dissipation to resist lateral load. However, the difference between the ductilities of the link with diagonal web stiffenner and standard link of AISC Code is not significant. Parameters which are significantly influencing the performance of the shear link are the thickness of diagonal web stiffener and its geometry.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the risk variables that ever occurred while executing of road construction project. In addition, it is to identify how significant and how big the influence of risk variables to the articulation of project execution processes of a road construction project, based on questionnaire that distributed to 30 questionnaires who are project managers and site managers on contractors of road construction project.  From the research data, there were identified 14 risk variables with 84 risk sub-variables on execution of road construction project. Those 14 risk variables were natural, social, politic, economic, law, occupational safety and health, managerial, technical, cultural, logistic, condition around construction site, design and technology, labor, and contractual variables. From the data analysis by using SPSS version 16, obtained there were 14 risk sub-variables which became the most influential sub-variables (indicators) to the road construction project. All sub-variables on the questionnaire are valid and reliable. The results of this research is expected to be considered for all parties involved in the construction project to pay more attention to risk variables during the execution of road construction project.

Abstract

A study aims to find out a domestication and gonad maturationtechnique of Wallago sp captured in the Kampar River, Riau has benn conductedon May to Nopember 2009. Fish samples were kept in 1 x 2 x 1.5 m cages, 6fishes/cages. The fishes were treated with three types of food. Results shown thatWallago domestication can be conducted by rearing the fish for 4 weeks. Theproper food for the fishes are sinking pellet 888-S (4) (P3), floating pellet CPPP781 (P2), and floating pellet T 79 – 3P (PI). The total growth rate , total lengthand daily growth rate of treated fish are 647.77 gr; 9.3933 cm and 0.320 % for P3;426.67 gr; 6.8367 cm and 0.226 % for P2 and 353.34 gr; 6.00 cm and 0.1911 %for P1. However, there are only 1st and 2nd gonad maturity level obtained in thetreated fishes. Survival rate of the fishes in 100 %.
