PEMBANGUNAN EKOWISATA DI KECAMATAN TANJUNG BALAI ASAHAN, SUMATERA UTARA: FAKTOR EKOLOGIS HUTAN MANGROVE

Abstract

Kecamatan Tanjungbalai memiliki potensi pariwisata pesisir dan laut dengan karakteristik yang khas yaitu pantai berpasir lumpur dan ditumbuhi oleh vegetasi mangrove. Salah satu cara untuk mempertahankan keberadaan hutan mangrove dari kerusakan atau kepunahan adalah dengan menjadikan Kecamatan Tanjungbalai sebagai kawasan ekowisata mangrove. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui potensi ekologis hutan mangrove untuk dikembangkan sebagai kawasan ekowisata. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-Nopember 2011, dengan menggunakan metode survei. Data primer dapat diperoleh melalui pengamatan langsung di Desa Bagan Asahan, Desa Asahan Mati dan Desa Sungai Apung terhadap struktur komunitas mangrove (nilai kerapatan) dan potensi ekologis. Analisis data untuk indeks kesesuaian wisata berdasarkan Yulianda (2007). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hutan mangrove di Kecamatan Tanjungbalai memiliki kerapatan yang baik dalam kategori sangat padat (nilai 1778 ind./ha), dengan spesies Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus granatum, Rhizophora mucronata dan Rhizophora apiculata. Indeks kesesuaian wisata di Kecamatan Tanjungbalai yaitu sangat sesuai (S1) untuk pengembangan ekowisata mangrove yang terdiri atas Desa Bagan Asahan (skor 65, IKW 85,53%), Desa Asahan Mati (skor 61, IKW 80,26%) dan Desa Sungai Apung (skor 61, IKW 80,26%). Secara ekologis, hutan mangrove di Kecamatan Asahan berpotensi untuk dijadikan sebagai kawasan ekowisata mangrove.Kata kunci: hutan mangrove, potensi ekologis, pembangunan ekowisata

Abstract

District of Tanjungbalai characterized by mangrove ecosystem with mud and sandy beaches has the potential to be developed for marine ecotourism. One way to maintain the existence of mangrove forests from destruction or extinction is to develop the Tanjungbalai district to be an ecotourism area. The research objective was to determine the potential ecological mangrove forest to be developed as an ecotourism area. The study was conducted in August-November 2011, using survey methods. Primary data were obtained through direct observation in the village of Bagan Asahan, Asahan Mati and Sungai Apung on mangrove community structure (density value) and ecological potential. Data analyses for suitability tourism index were based on Yulianda (2007). The results showed that the mangrove forest in the Tanjungbalai District had a good density in the category of very dense (the value of 1778 ind./Ha), mainly consisting of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus granatum, Rhizophora mucronata and Rhizophora apiculata. Suitability tourism index in the Tanjungbalai District was very suitable (S1) for mangrove tourism development including Village of Bagan Asahan (score 65, IKW 85.53%), Asahan Mati (score 61, IKW 80.26%) and Asahan Apung (score of 61, IKW 80.26%). Abstract

Sorake Beach is located in South Nias Regency and facing directly to the Indian Ocean which possessed a wealth of natural and diverse appeal had potential for ecotourism development. This study aims to determine the condition and potential of natural resources that can be developed, to analyze and formulate the concept of ecotourism development strategy in Sorake.Suitability tourism index in Sorake was at suitable level (S2 suitability). The results showed the calculation results of the IFE (internal factors) and EFE (external factor) had a value of 2.92 and 2.91 respectively. The internal factors was stronger than external factors. The priority strategy of future development suggested making programs and environmental activities that environmentaly friendly and making tourist zoning plan.Keywords: Strategy Development, Ecotourism, Tourism Suitability Index, IFE and EFE.

Abstract

This research was conducted in March 2014 in the coastal waters of the Village of Kuala Enok of Indragiri Hilir Regency in Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of bacterial contamination of E. coli as an indicator of pollution on “tembakul” (P. schlosseri) fish in the coastal waters of Kuala Enok. Tembakul fish sampling conducted at three observation station, station I is located in the territorial waters adjacent to residential, station II is located in the creek waters, and station III is located in the open sea waters. Samples of “tembakul” fish were analyzed by using the MPN method three series tube at the Laboratory of Microbiology and Biotechnology of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Faculty of University of Riau. The yield on the analysis of the sample gills, digestive tract and fish meat tembakul showed that at the settlement waters and the creek waters the number of bacteria was 1,100 MPN/g but had differences on the meat at the open waters with an average of 747.67 MPN/g. The results showed that the innoculation of bacteria growing at the time of isolation was from the coliform group. Total coliform values ​​at each point of observation station was above the food quality and safety standards required by BSNI 7388: 2009 and BPOM (Agency for Food and Drug Administration) of the maximum contaminant limits in food is 10 MPN/g in fresh meat. Abstract

The experiment was conducted in November 2013 in the coastal waters ofthe Western District of Dumai. The method used in this study is a survey method,with the observation, measurement and sampling in the field. This study aims toanalyze the distribution of C. perfringens bacteria on tembakul in coastal watersof the District of West Dumai. Tembakul obtained around the mangrove forest inthe Purnama Village, which is divided into 3 stations namely Masjid estuary,mangrove forest on the Dermaga Street and Surrounding Fish Auction (TPI).Observations quality of coastal waters such as temperature, acidity (pH), andsalinity were measured directly at each sampling location. The results of thecalculation of C. perfringens bacteria analysis on tembakul (Periopthalmodonschlosseri) at three stations in the coastal waters of the District of West Dumairanged from 4.0 x 104 to 2.0 x 106 cfu / ml. Coastal waters of the District of WestDumai is still below the bacteriological contamination threshold, where theaverage total C. perfringens bacteria on fish that pass tembakul no threshold106 cfu/ml, which can lead to illness or poisoning the marine fishery products inDumai.Keywords : Dumai,Clostridium perfringens,Periopthalmodon schlosseri,Analysis

Abstract

The aim of study is to identify tourist object of cubadak island and its potential level for marine ecotourism by used of survey method. Both primary and secondary data were collected by meaning, interviewing, and investigating directly. Interviewing sampling method was used purposively, particularly for tourist sample were used as accidental sampling. The result showed that Cubadak Island has a big potential in marine tourism and possess a big chance to develop in marine ecotourism sector. It was showed by the suitability value of marine ecotourism development. The value was resulted through tourism supporter criteria, total scores of WTA and WTP, scores of economic potential, and SWOT analysis.Key Words: Potential, Marine Ecotourism, Cubadak Island

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan juli 2013 bertempat di Kelurahan Basilam Baru Kecamatan Sungai Sembilan Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau. Ekosistem mangrove mempunyai fungsi yang unik dalam lingkungan hidup. oleh karena adanya pengaruh laut dan daratan, mangrove mampu berperan sebagai penahan ombak serta penahan intrusi dan abrasi air laut. serta dapat dikembangkan sebagai wnawisata untuk kepentingan pendidikan dan penelitian. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi ekosistem hutan mangrove di Kelurahan Basilam Baru untuk di kembangkan menjadi tujuan ekowisata mangrove, mengetahui tingkat partisipasi dan persepsi masyarakat, pemerintah, dan stakeholder lainnya dalam membangun ekowisata di Kelurahan Basilam Baru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei, yaitu dengan cara turun secara langung kelapangan untuk mengumpulkan data-data yang diperlukan. Wawancara terstruktur (kuesioner) dan non terstruktur (wawancara bebas mendalam) juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui respon-respon masyarakat sekitar dalam pengembangn ekowisata mangrove di Kelurahan Basilam Baru. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa hutan mangrove di Kelurahan Basilam Baru memiliki kerapatan yang baik dengan kategori sangat padat. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai kerapatan pohon yang diteliti adalah 3955.56 Ind/Ha dan 7800 Ind/Ha, Ketebalan mangrove termasuk kategori tebal dan ekosistem mangrove di Kelurahan Basilam Baru memiliki nilai IKW sangat sesuai (S1) berdasarkan parameter pengembangan ekosistem mangrove.Keywords: Mangove, Ekowisata, Kelurahan Basilam Baru

Abstract

This research was conducted in January 2013 in South Painan Nagari Cingkuak Island District IV Jurai South Coastal District of West Sumatra Province. This study aims to determine the potential of marine ecotourism of Cingkuak Island and determine the level of community participation, the government and other stakeholders in the development of marine ecotourism. The method used in this study is a survey method. Data taken and observed consist of primary and secondary data. The sample selection of the interview conducted by using purposive sampling method.Cingkuak island has potential for marine tourism and a significant opportunity to develop a marine ecotourism. Ecosystems contained island ecosystem cingkuak like coral reefs, seagrass, mangrove and wealth of flora and fauna. Things that support marine ecotourism in the Cingkuak Island parameter water quality, geomorphology, climate, and adequate infrastructure. Community participation can be seen coming from the tour players. Abstract

Abstract:A study was conducted in december 2013 in coastal waters Topang Island RiauProvince, with a view to learn the environmental conditions under the deposition ofoceanography and physics. The method used is a method of surveys carried out at 12 stationswithout repetition and 2 times repetition on calculations of the quality of the waters .Theresults of research shows that bottom sediment surface waters can be grouped into threefaction sediment is sandy mud , muddy sand and sand .Sand faction dominating at anyresearch station with type 2 is sand and muddy sand .Based on the parameter of sediment asthe diameter of average (Mz), sorting ( ), skewness (Sk1) and kurtosis (KG), physicaloceanographic conditions in Western and Eastern parts of the island tend to be stablecompared to the North and South. Abstract

Probiotic is an alternative subtance to prevent fish diseases which is environmentally friendly. The research purpose was to isolate potential probiotic to control bacteria pathogen in barramundi (Lates calcarifer) to control the bacteria pathogen. The probiotic bacteria candidates were isolated from intestine of barramundi by using the spread and streak methods on MRS and TSA media. The antibacterial activity was examinined by using disc diffusion agar method on Zobell 2216E medium. The results showed thirty eight isolates were found which consisted of coccus, white, orange and yellow colonies. Twelve isolates had inhibition against Vibrio alginolyticus,two isolates showed highest inhibition zone and antivibrio activities. The highest inhibition zone (10.04 ± 1,48 mm) and (9,50 ± 2,12 mm) and the antivibrio activities (4.04 mm) and (3.50 mm) were indicated by KPBU2-5 and KPMU2-6 isolates respectively.Keywords: Probiotics, Isolation, Barramundi, Antagonistic.
