Abstract

The objective of this study is to find empirical evidence about presupposition that underpricing and underperformance phenimenons occurs on companies issued Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Indonesia. There are 36 companies that issued IPO during 1998-2000. After choosing then with purposive sampling method, there are 33 companies to be analyzed in this study. Results from one sample t-test show that in the short run, there are large positive mean excess return. This result is consistent with prior studies in numerous countries. In the long run, the perfomance is underperformed. Result from paired sample t-test show that there is a significant defference between short and long run stock performance in companies issued IPO.Key words: Initial Public Offering, Performance, Underpricing, Underperfomed

Abstract

Sonor system (direct seeding) was practiced by rice farmers in tidal land.  Labor was one of the limiting factors in the farming system in tidal land. Implementation of the system can save labor cost. The purpose of this study was to see the level of adaptation and productivity of some new varieties of the sonor system technology. The study was conducted in tidal land typology of potential acid sulphate in Mukti Jaya Village, Muara Telang Sub-District, Banyuasin District in 2011/2012 planting season. Varieties tested were new varieties, namely Inpari 4, Inpari 10, Inpari 11, Inpari 13, Mekongga and Ciherang as the control. The observations were conducted at 3 fields as replication. The study showed that all the new varieties tested indicated high adaptability to the sonor system and the production has approached potential results.  Varieties with the highest production were Inpari 10 and Inpari 13 of  8.35 t/ha and 8.19 t/ha respectively.

Abstract

Failure that occurs in mud pump one of which caused by the mud pump valve while the valve failure caused to three (3) components namely the valve complete, valve seat and valve spring. Such failure would cause mud pump unit can not be operated so as to interfere with the smooth operation of drilling. The research was focused on identifying the critical components of the valve and evaluate the cause of the valve failure with fault tree analysis method (FTA). Data that obtained from the company processed using calculations pareto chart and FTA method. Critical component is a valve 3 i.e valve complete. Valve failure caused corrosion, wear and failure rubber valve.Keywords: failure, valve, FTA

Abstract

This study aims to describe how far the application of learning models jump technique transmissible by playing methods to improve student achievement in elementary school. Results showed that students more actively involved in learning, they do jump transmissible enthusiastic while playing, so it can be concluded students feel happy to do the jump transmissible by playing methods, as well as students make the mistake of awareness and responsibility of learners doing push ups with pleasure as punishment without being asked by the teacher. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran sejauhmana penerapan model pembelajaran teknik melompat jangkit dengan metode bermain dapat meningkatkan prestasi peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik lebih aktif terlibat dalam pembelajaran, mereka antusias melakukan lompat jangkit sambil bermain, sehingga dapat disimpulkan peserta didik merasa senang melakukan lompat jangkit dengan metode bermain, begitupun ketika peserta didik melakukan kesalahan dengan kesadaran dan tanggung jawab peserta didik melakukan push updengan senang sebagai hukuman tanpa diminta oleh guru.

Abstract

The turn-milling test has three methods in the process of working are orthogonal, tangential, and co-axial. In this methods turn-milling test produces a varied surface roughness. To optimize the surface roughness in this method orthogonal turn-milling then the variation of testing is done at the rotation velocity of workpiece and feeding velocity. The testing process of turn-milling machining is performed on conventional lathe with the addition of a rotary tool. The purpose of this research is to get the optimum rotation velocity of workpiece and feeding velocity of the value of surface roughness and To know the effect of velocity rotation of workpiece and feeding velocity to surface roughness value. With increasing velocity rotation of workpiece and feeding velocity, velocity rotation of the workpiece increased will affect the surface roughness value. Based on the roughness class N, the 630 rpm rotation of workpiece parameters with feed rate of 0.060 mm is a good parameter in this study because it produces a roughness value of 1.489 μm lower than the other test.Keywords : Turn-milling, Round, Feeding, Roughness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce learning devices and LKS based on a realistic, valid and effective approach to realistic mathematics education. This learning tool is expected to be able to improve student learning activities and outcomes. This type of research is development research using a 4-D model consisting of 4 stages, namely 1) defining, 2) designing (design), 3) developing, and 4) disseminating (disseminate). The contextual mathematics learning tools developed are Student Worksheets (LKS) and Learning Implementation Plans (RPP). Validation is done by experts in mathematics education, basic education and language. The practicality of learning devices is investigated by observing the implementation of learning, filling the practical questionnaire by students, and conducting interviews with students and teachers. To see its effectiveness is done by observing the activities and student learning outcomes. The collected data was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the learning tools of the realistic mathematics education approach (PMR) produced were valid in terms of their constructs and contents for Class VII of Merangin 14 Middle School. Contextual mathematics learning tools can be said to be practical in terms of the implementation of learning and effective on the activities and learning outcomes of students for class VII. Learning tools for realistic mathematics education approaches (PMR), have been tested and implemented. Based on the results of the trial and implementation it can be said that the learning tools approach to realistic mathematics education (PMR) are valid, practical and effective

Abstract

Dynamometer is a measurement instrument that functions to measure the cutting force on a lathe machine. The dynamometer is a measuring of tool that using of a strain gauge sensor of utilizing strain, which occur on the stalk strain as the reader, then it is converted into cutting force. The main purpose of this study is to produce a dynamometer with type four square stalks for cutting force measurement, dynamometer designed to be able tomeasure the axial force and tangential force. The design process consists of designing, manufacturing and calibration processes. The design step is started from material selection, dynamometer selection and dynamometer dimensional design. The dimensions from design is then drawn detail and analyzed stress. After design process is complete, then the process of making the mechanical components and electrical components dynamometer. Afterthat, the dynamometer is assembled for calibration process. The calibration process consists of hysteresis and repeatability errors. This research revealed the hysteresis for maximum tangential force of 1 milivolt and for maximum axial force of 2 milivolt. The repeatability error was 2 milivolt for the maximum tangential force and maximum axial force of 2 milivolt. Dimension of the dynamometer of type four square stalks was a length of 185mm and a diameter of 65 mm. The dynamometer can measure maximum force 500 N for axial and tangential force.Keyword : Dynamometer, Cutting Force, Strain Gauge, Calibration

Abstract

This research is based on the understanding of mathematical concepts using cooperative model of the power of two type based on problem based learning (pbl) better than conventional learning. This research uses quantitative approach with experiment method. The population in this study is the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Merangin which amounted to 90 people consisting of 3 classes. Sampling technique using simple random sampling technique. The selected sample is class IX A as experiment class and class IX C as control class. Technique of data collecting through comprehension test of mathematical concept in the form of essay matter with the number of five items on the subject of kesebangunan. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is t-test, with its calculation assisted by SPSS program. From the analysis of the final test data in the experimental class using the cooperative learning model of the power of two type based on problem based learning, it is obtained on average 81.77 while the control class using conventional learning obtained an average of 67.77. Hypothesis test results obtained t count> ttable or 5.634> 1.671 then H1 accepted and H0 rejected. The conclusion of this research is the understanding of mathematical concepts using cooperative model of the power of two type based on problem based learning better than conventional learning on the material kesebangunan class students IX SMP Negeri 11 Merangin lesson year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to describe an increase in mathematics learning outcomes in the three dimensional space material using the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) Model in class X SMA N 3 Merangin Academic Year 2016/2017. This research is a classroom action research which consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection carried out in SMA N 3 Merangin with the research subjects being all class XB SMA N 3 Merangin 2016/2017 Academic Year totaling 28 people. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of III meetings. Data was collected using observation and evaluation, observations in the form of student activity sheets, for evaluation of learning outcomes tests in the form of essay test questions. Data analysis techniques use simple statistics. The results of the study indicate that the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes and the average value of students 64.63 in the first cycle to 88.01 in the second cycle. Increased student mastery learning in the first cycle is 14 students or 46.7% increased in the second cycle to 26 students or 86.7%. Thus the completeness of student learning outcomes has reached more than ≥ 70.00. Based on the results of this study it is expected that teachers can be used to add models in learning so as to improve the ability of students in learning.
