Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to find to what extent senior highschool teachers has applied innovative teaching after passing the certification examination. In addition, this research has the aim to find out the problems that the teachers have in their application of innovative teaching. Based on the problems, this research proposes some recommendations for the solutions for the problems.Specifically, this research wants to find out whether there are any differences in the application of innovative teaching between the teachers who passed the portofolio ceritification exam? and those who passed the exam in? the Teacher Profession Education and Training (PLPG).???This is a qualitative research with observation, depth-interview, questionnaire used as the instruments to get the data of the research. The objects of the research are certifiedb and non-certified senior highschool teachers of? natural science, social science, Indonesian and English of both the private and state schools in SurakartaThe research has obtained the following findings. The certification program has created an impact on both certified and non-certified senior highschool teachers in Surakarta. With their limitations, they tend to implement innovative teaching. There is a? difference between certified teachers and non-certified teachers. The former teach better than the later. There is a slight difference between the cerified teachers who passed the portofolio exam and the certified teachers who passed the PLPG exam. The portofolio teachers teach more innovatively than the PLPG teachers.The research has also found that the teachers are facing some problems that discourage them to implement innovative teaching. First, they are forced to prepare the students for the National Exam. Secondly, they have the wrong perception that teaching innovatively means using computers or laptops and this means being expensive. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk: (1) meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar siswa melalui authentic assessment, dan (2) meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar siswa melalui authentic assessment. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Sumber data berasal dari guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan authentic assess- ment dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar siswa. Kualitas proses belajar dapat dilihat dari keaktifan siswa. Capaian pada siklus I menggunakan portofolio, peta konsep, diagram vee, dan LKS sebesar 70,11%; 63,4%; 70,l7%; 72,%; siklus II mening- kat sebesar 80,13%; 73,2%; 76,73%; dan 73,8%. Kualitas hasil belajar dilihat dari hasil tes kognitif. Capaian pada siklus I sebesar 58,97%; 72,5%; 29,17% dan 64,29%; meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 82,05%; 85%; 79,17%; dan 83,33%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk: (1) mengembangkan instrumen ordered multiple-choice untuk diagnosis kesulitan belajar Stoikiometri kelas X, (2) menetapkan karakteristik dari instrumen, dan (3) membuat profil diagnostik peserta didik sebagai laporan yang informatif. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Borg & Gall. Preliminary study menghasilkan pokok bahasan tersulit Stoikiometri. Penetapan atribut dan hierarki atribut dengan focus group discussion dilanjutkan dua putaran teknik Delphi. Indikator dan rumusan butir soal ditelaah expert untuk membuktikan validasi isi dengan rumus Aiken. Ujicoba terbatas dan ujicoba menengah pada sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Ujicoba kelayakan dilakukan pada sekolah-sekolah di wilayah Surakarta, Karanganyar, Boyolali, dan Sragen. Kesimpulan: (1) penelitian berhasil mengembangkan tiga paket soal Ordered Multiple Choice (OMC) untuk mendeteksi kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada materi Stoikiometri kelas X; (2) butir-butir soal OMC pada paket A, B, dan C memiliki validitas konstruk yang baik dengan Goodness of Fit (GoF) berdasar  Smart PLS > 0,36 yaitu 0,437; 0,466 dan 0,433. Instrumen memiliki reliabilitas tinggi berturut-turut 0,79; 0,81 dan 0,75; (3) profil peserta didik berupa laporan diagnostik  tentang atribut yang sudah dikuasai dan belum dikuasai peserta didik. Kata kunci: Attribute Hierarchy Method, Ordered Multiple Choice, Graded Response Model ______________________________________________________________ DEVELOPING A DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUMENT FOR LEARNING DIFFICULTIES IN CHEMISTRY IN SECONDARY HIGH SCHOOLAbstract The purposes of this study are to: (1) develop Ordered Multiple Choice (OMC) instruments with a model of Attribute Hierarchy Method (AHM) for the diagnosis of stoichiometry learning difficulties in chemistry learning in secondary high school, (2) determine the characteristic of instruments which have been developed based on the Graded Response Model (GRM), (3) create a diagnostic profile of learners as an informative report. This development research used the Borg & Gall model. The development of the instrument is done using the AHM with the form of OMC. The determination of attributes and attribute hierarchy was done by the focus group discussion (FGD) by three experts, six teachers, and two measurement experts and continued with the Delphi technique by three experts with two rounds. A limited try out was conducted in the high, medium, and low category schools. A feasibility try out was conducted to the high, medium, and low category schools in the regions of Surakarta, Karanganyar, Boyolali, and Sragen. The results are as follows. 1). This research has developed three packages of OMC to detect the learning difficulties of students in the subjects of Chemistry, especially in Stoichiometry of class X. 2). The OMC test items on packages A, B, and C have good construct validity with the Goodness of Fit (GoF) greater than 0.36 namely 0.437, 0.466, and 0.433. 3). The learners’ profiles are created in the form of diagnostic report about the attributes which have been mastered and have not been mastered by the learners.Keywords: Attribute Hierarchy Method, Ordered Multiple Choice, Graded Response Model

Abstract

IPA merupakan wahana bagi peserta didik untuk mempelajari diri sendiri dan alam sekitar, serta prospek pengembangan dan menerapkan di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Mempelajari IPA membutuhkan pengalaman langsung dalam menjelajahi dan memahami alam sekitar. Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik merupakan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan ketrampilan secara komprehensif. Kompetensi yang komprehensif dalam mempelajari IPA menjadi sebuah ketrampilan proses sains, yaitu seperangkat kemampuan kompleks yang biasa digunakan oleh para ilmuwan dalam melakukan penyelidikan ilmiah ke dalam rangkaian proses pembelajaran. Pengukuran ketrampilan proses sains membutuhkan instrumen yang tidak sekedar mendapatkan prestasi tetapi dapat menganalisis kompetensi yang dimiliki peserta didik meliputi kelebihan dan kelemahan dengan demikian berfungsi pula sebagai diagnostik. Model penskoran politomus dan profil individu peserta tes menjadi cara untuk menganalisis ketrampilan proses sains.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E, (2) mengetahui kualitas Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E, (3) mengetahui efektivitas Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian dan pengembangan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E menggunakan prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan dari Borg and Gall yang disederhanakan menjadi 9 tahapan yaitu: (1) penelitian pendahuluan dan pengumpulan data, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan produk, (4) uji coba lapangan awal, (5) revisi produk awal, (6) uji coba pelaksanaan lapangan, (7) penyempurnaan produk hasil uji coba lapangan, (8) uji coba pelaksanaan lapangan, (9) penyempurnaan produk akhir. Analisis Data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan: (1) telah berhasil dikembangkan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E pada materi Laju Reaksi yang dilakukan berdasarkan tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan R&D yang terdiri dari 9 tahapan, (2) kualitas Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E pada materi Laju Reaksi memiliki kualitas sangat baik pada aspek komponen kelayakan isi, bahasa, penyajian dan kegrafisan dengan persentase sebesar 84,06% berdasarkan penilaian siswa dan 90,88% berdasarkan penilaian guru, (hasil uji efektivitas pada aspek pengetahuan terdapat perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen (pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle 5E disertai Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E ) dan kelas baseline (pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E tanpa disertai Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis Learning Cycle 5E ),, sedangkan pada aspek sikap dan keterampilan tidak terdapat perbedaan.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan Modul Pereaksi Kimia berbasis SETS, (2) menganalisis kelayakan Modul Pereaksi Kimia berbasis SETS yang dikembangkan, dan (3) menguji efektivitas Modul Pereaksi Kimia berbasis SETS yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (R & D) mengacu pada model Borg & Gall yang disederhanakan menjadi 9 tahapan, dengan mengurangi tahap diseminasi, dilaksanakan mulai bulan September 2014 hingga Desember 2014 di SMK Negeri 1 Trucuk Klaten, SMK Batur Jaya 2 Ceper Klaten, dan SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2014/ 2015. Data kelayakan modul diambil dengan lembar penilaian yang diberikan kepada peserta didik dan guru. Data untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan modul diperoleh dengan teknis tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar kognitif, penilaian diri dan observasi untuk penilaian afektif, serta observasi dan portofolio untuk penilaian psikomotor. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan: (1) hasil tiap tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan pada: tahap penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi disimpulkan bahwa dibutuhkan Modul Berbasis SETS, tahap perencanaan dihasilkan draft awal modul, tahap pengembangan dihasilkan draf modul I, tahap uji coba lapangan awal dan revisi dihasilkan draf modul II, uji coba menengah dan revisi dihasilkan draf modul III, dan uji skala luas dan penyempurnaan produk dihasilkan produk akhir, (2) kualitas modul berdasarkan penilaian validator diperoleh VAiken sebesar 0,79 - 1,00, menunjukkan bahwa modul layak digunakan. Rata- rata penilaian kualitas modul oleh peserta didik dan guru pada semua uji memiliki katagori “Baik hingga Sangat Baik”, (3) efektivitas penggunaan modul menunjukkan hasil bahwa di SMK Negeri 1 Trucuk kelas yang menggunakan modul berbasis SETS mempunyai nilai pengetahuan dan sikap lebih baik dari pada kelas yang menggunakan catatan dan ringkasan materi dari guru, tetapi pada aspek keterampilannya tidak ada perbedaan, sedangkan di SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo, kelas yang menggunakan modul berbasis SETS mempunyai nilai pengetahuan lebih tinggi, sedangkan nilai sikap dan keterampilan antara dua kelas tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan.

Abstract

Therefore, the scoring system that used in the examination students? answer sheets is?important part of this instrument to analyze science process skills student.

Abstract

Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran instalasi listrik di SMK sering menjadi masalah karena harus tersedianya peralatan yang harus selalu membeli perangkat nyata namun setelah itu perangkat yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran tidak digunakan kembali dan juga yang penting adalah ternyata cara pembelajaran seperti ini kurang efektif karena biasanya dilakukan secara berkelompok. Pada saat pembelajaran dilakukan secara berkelompok maka ada siswa yang hanya mengandalkan hasil kerja rekan-rekannya dan ada yang tidak memperhatikan terhadap pelajaran yang diberikan akhirnya tidak menerima manfaat dari pembelajaran tersebut. Untuk itu dikembangkan sebuah media interaktif yang ditujukan untuk mensimulasikan rangkaian listrik sederhana sehingga bisa dicoba secara langsung oleh masing-masing siswa secara menarik dan interaktif sehingga setiap siswa akan menjadi senang belajar instalasi listrik dan mendapat manfaat serta bisa menyerap materi yang diinginkan. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran; media virtual interaktif; instalasi listrik sederhana

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students’ interest and achievement in learning in the eleventh grade students of lintas-minat Chemistry 1 of SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta in academic year 2015/2016 by implementing the learning model of problem-solving using mapping concept strategy in buffer solution subject matter. This CAR was carried out in two cycles and in each cycle there was four stages consisting of action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data of interest aspect and attitude aspect of learning achievement were collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews techniques. Data of knowledge aspect and skill aspect of learning achievement were collected using test and observation techniques, respectively. The research data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. The results of this research can be concluded that the implementation of problem-solving learning model using concept mapping strategy can increase the eleventh grade students’ interest and achievement in the learning subject matter of buffer-solution at the Lintas-Minat Chemistry 1 class of SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta. The achievement percentage of students’ interest aspect in the first cycle is 55% and the second cycle increases to 80%. The learning achievement of knowledge aspects increases from 60% in cycle I to 80% in the second cycle. The learning achievement of attitude aspect (spirituality, honesty, responsibility, and cooperation) reached 100% in cycle I with unfinished cooperation indicator and 100% in cycle II with completed of cooperation attitude indicator. For learning achievement in skill aspect in cycle I has reached 100%.
