Abstract

Abstract - The type of service that provided by each bank could be different, also be the same. However, the thing that makeits difference is the direct services that they provided to customers. This research used descriptive research that is a method of research by describe and present something, example the conditions or existing of relationship, opinion, ongoing processes  results or effects, or about the ongoing trend. Overall theservice excellence performance of Bank Mandiri at Telkom University Cash Office included at good categories. Service excellence performance of Bank Mandiri at Telkom Universityhas the big contribution from Accounttability and  Actionvariables at the employees to solve problems well statement.Keywords:  Customer, Service, Service Excellence Abstrak - Jenis servis yang diberikan oleh tiap bank bisa berbeda, bisa pula sama. Akan tetapi, hal yang membuat perbedaan antara satu bank dengan bank lainnya, adalah pelayanan secara langsung yang diberikan kepada nasabah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif, yaitu metode penelitian yang berusaha mendeskripsikan dan mempresentasikan sesuatu, misalnya kondisi atau hubungan yang ada, pendapat, proses yang sedang berlangsung, akibat atau efek yang terjadi, atau tentang kecenderungan yang tengah berlangsung. Secara keseluruhan kinerja kualitas pelayanan Bank Mandiri Kantor Kas Universitas Telkom termasuk dalam kategori baik. Kinerja kualitas pelayanan Bank Mandiri Kantor Kas Universitas Telkom yang paling tinggi diantara variabel lain adalah variabel tindakan dan tanggung jawab pada pernyataan pegawai mampu menyelesaikanmasalah.Kata Kunci : Pelanggan, Pelayanan, Pelayanan Prima

Abstract

Kaligawe Street has the highest traffic density according to traffic survey on 2014 which is 6.819,35 passenger car unit/hour. This leading to the amount of emission particularly particulate matter. PM10 is a hazardous particulate which can cause various health problems to death. The estimates concentration of PM10 in 2014 has exceeded the threshold. Thus, it can leading to risk of health problems. The aim of this research is to ascertain the risk of health problems to cadger in Kaligawe Street due to PM10 exposure. This research is an analytical observational research with cross sectional plan and using the method of Environmental Health Risk Assessment. Population on this research are women cadger working in Kaligawe street totaling 53 person. Result obtained, the minimum concentration of PM10 is 41,97µg/Nm3, maximum 104.05 µg/Nm3, and the average 72,42 µg/Nm3. The result of univariate analysis showed 67,9% respondent have time exposure>8 hours/day, 94,3% have frequency exposure 350 days/year, and 73,6% have duration of time≥10 years. The calculation of RQ indicate the average of RQ in minimum concentration is 0,294, maximum concentration 0,728, and average concentration is 0,507. This value is less than 1 (RQ<1), thus, level of risk for women cadger is still safe. The value of RQ > 1 found in maximum concentration are 20,7% of respondent and 9,4% in average concentration. Estimates level of risk in average concentration is no longer safe in the following 15 years, and for maximum concentration is no longer safe in the following 5 years.

Abstract

Abstract - The development of increasingly advanced technology requires many companies to improve its ability in the implementation of E-commerce. For that companies must understand what is contained E-commerce from Price (Price), Number of Options (Assortment), Leisure (Convience), and entertainment (Entertainment) to appear the purchase decision. This is realized by Steam Valve, by looking at the number of young children who like to play games. Start of the game without charge or paid.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of e-commerce and its influence on purchasing decisions Steam Valve. The method used in this research is descriptive method, data collection via questionnaires. Test data through validity and reliability test. Statistical analysis via classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, correlation analysis, coefficient of determination and hypothesis testing. By sampling that Valve Steam users by 2015.Based on the results of hypothesis testing in partial implementation of E-commerce (X) has a significant influence amounted thitung (4.503)> t table (1.66), simultaneous hypothesis testing showed that the implementation of E-commerce influence on purchasing decisions because Fhitung (20.273)> Ftabel (3.94). Based on simple linear regression analysis results obtained Y = 10.134 + 0,3762X. Based on the coefficient determination test, it can be concluded that the Ecommerce has a significant influence on purchasing decisions, with the percentage of 17,1,2% while the remaining 83.9% is influenced by other factors outside of consumer behavior had not been examinedon this research.Keywords: Marketing, E-commerce, Purchase Decision Abstrak - Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju menuntut banyak perusahaan meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam penerapan E-commerce. Untuk itu perusahaan harus memahami apa yang terkandung E-commercemulai dari Harga (Price), Jumlah Pilihan (Assortment), Kenyamanan (Convience), dan Hiburan (Entertainment)hingga mucul keputusan pembelian. Hal ini disadari oleh Steam Valve, dengan melihat banyaknya anak muda yang gemar bermain game. Mulai dari game tanpa biaya maupun berbayar.Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapane-commerce dan pengaruhnya pada keputusan pembelian Steam Valve. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Uji data melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis statistic melalui uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier sederhana, analisis korelasi, koefisien determinasi dan pengujian hipotesis.Dengan pengambilan sampel yaitu pengguna Steam Valve tahun 2014. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis secara parsial penerapanE-commerce (X) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikansebesar t hitung (4,503) > t (1,66), Uji hipotesis secara simultan menunjukan bahwa penerapan E-commerce berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian karena F (20,273) > F tabel tabel (3,94). Berdasarkan analisis regresi linier sederhana diperoleh hasil Y = 10,134 + 0,3762X Berdasarkan uji koefisien determinasi, maka dapat diambil kesimpulanbahwa E-commerce memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian, dengan persentase sebesar 17,1,2% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 83,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar perilaku konsumen yang tidak di teliti pada penelitian ini.

Abstract

            The Objective of this research was to determine the best concentration of addition coffee flower honey to kefir based on total plate count, lactic acid bacteria, acidity, and pH value. The materials used in this research were honey kefir made from cow’s milk, kefir grains, and coffee flowers honey. The method used in this research was experimental with Completely Randomized Design by 4 treatments and 4 replications and continued by using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The result showed that the effect of addition coffee flowers honey was not significantly different (P>0.05) on total plate count, lactic acid bacteria, acidity, give highly significant different (P<0.01) on pH value. Addition 20% of  coffee flower honey was the best treatment with quality of total plate count 6.21 ± 0.60 log CFU/mL, total lactic acid bacteria 6.16 ± 0.14 log CFU/mL, acidity 0.76 ± 0.11 % and pH value 3.596 ± 0.021. Further study is needed to figure the storability of honey kefir.

COMMUNICATION FAILURES IN NETFLIX DRAMA SERIES “13 REASONS WHY”: A PRAGMATIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

Language and linguistics are vital in people’s daily conversation. However, because of some causes, there are some misunderstandings or pragmatic failures which may appear in communication among people. Many studies have looked into the pragmatic failures between native speakers and non-native speakers but this study investigates pragmatic failures in Netflix TV drama series “13 Reasons Why”. It aims to discover pragmatic failures that happened in the drama and their causes. To gather the data, the researchers watched the series and highlighted some events that contained pragmatic failures. Then, the researchers used three steps of data analysis: gather and organize, categorize, and analyze the findings. The findings showed that there were 25 pragmatic failures that happened in the drama. They were caused by five reasons, namely failure in understanding others’ intentions, failures in understanding others’ state, denials to the reality, trauma, and failures in understanding a situation. DOI: https://doi.org/10.24071/ijhs.2018.010212

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui angka kontaminasi mikroba dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor risiko pada tahap pembersihan dan perebusan selama proses produksi ikan kayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner dan pengambilan sampel untuk pemeriksaan angka kontaminasi mikroba. Sampel yang digunakan meliputi 3 ekor ikan segar (sebelum diolah), 3 ekor ikan yang sudah dibersihkan (tahap pembersihan), dan 3 ekor ikan yang sudah direbus (tahap perebusan). Sampel diperoleh dari 2 produsen ikan kayu di Kecamatan Kuta Alam Kota Banda Aceh yang sekaligus bertindak sebagai responden kuesioner. Pemeriksaan sampel menggunakan metode Total Plate Count (TPC). Analisis data menggunakan uji ANAVA yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Dari analisis statistik diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat perbedaan angka kontaminasi mikroba yang nyata antar tahapan proses produksi (P<0,01). Angka kontaminasi tertinggi ditemukan pada tahap pembersihan sebesar 4,3 x 106 CFU/g yang melebihi standar SNI 7288:2009 tentang Batas Maksimum Cemaran Mikroba dalam pangan (5,0 x 105 CFU/g). Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa angka kontaminasi mikroba tertinggi ada pada tahap pembersihan dan angka tersebut melebihi nilai standar. Kurangnya kesadaran dan buruknya penerapan higiene dan sanitasi dalam proses produksi ikan kayu menjadi faktor risiko yang mempengaruhi tingginya angka kontaminasi mikroba pada ikan kayu.Kata kunci: angka cemaran mikroba, ikan kayu (keumamah), sanitasi, TPC ABSTRACT  The aims of this research were to determine the microbial contamination count and risk factor identification at cleaning and steaming stages of wooden fish production. This research applied survey method with interview by using questionnaire and sampling. The samples were 3 fresh fishes (material for producing), 3 cleaned fishes (cleaning stage), and 3 steamed fishes (steaming stage) from 2 wooden fish producers in Kuta Alam, Kota Banda Aceh were also as the respondents. The examination of microbial contamination count used Total Plate Count (TPC) method. The statistical analysis used ANOVA test followed by Duncan. From the statistical analysis, obtained result that there was a real difference of microbial contaminant count between every production process stages (P<0.01). The highest microbial contaminant count was on celaning stage up to 4.3 x 106 CFU/g that exceeded SNI 7288: 2009 about the Maximum Limit of Microbial Contamination in Food (5.0 x 105 CFU/g). From this research it can be concluded that the highest microbial contamination count was on celaning stage and that count was exceeded standards. The lack of awareness and poor implementation of hygiene and sanitation in the production process of wooden fish were risk factors affected the high number of microbial contamination in wooden fish.Key Word: microbial contamination count, wooden fish (keumamah), sanitation, TPC

Abstract

Cabai merupakan salah satu komoditas sayuran yang erat dengan kebutuhan masyarakat sehari-hari. Keberhasilan produksi cabai yang berkualitas ditentukan oleh bibit berkualitas. Salah satu upaya pemeliharaan untuk mendapatkan bibit yang berkualitas yaitu dengan pemberian pupuk tambahan. Pupuk yang dapat digunakan yaitu NPK dan pupuk daun. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dosis pupuk NPK yang menghasilkan pertumbuhan bibit cabai terbaik, mengetahui frekuensiaplikasi plant catalyst yang menghasilkan pertumbuhan bibit cabai terbaik, dan mengetahui interaksi antara dosis pupuk NPK dan frekuensi aplikasi plant catalyst pada pertumbuhan bibit cabai keriting. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Sumberejo Kecamatan Kemiling, Bandar Lampung pada bulan Mei sampai dengan bulan Juli 2015. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan perlakuan secara faktorial (4 x 3) dalam rancangan kelompok teracak sempurna. Dosis pupuk NPK mutiara N0(tanpa pemupukan), N1 (0,6 g per tanaman), N2 (1,2 g per tanaman), dan N3 (1,8 g per tanaman). Frekuensi pemberian plant catalyst dengan tiga taraf waktu, P0 (tanpa plant catalyst), P1 (satu kali per minggu), P2 (dua kali per minggu) dengan konsentrasi 1,5 g per liter. Bibit dikelompokkan berdasarkan ukuran besar, sedang, dan kecil. Data diolah dengan analisis ragam dan respons pertumbuhan bibit terhadap perlakuan dilihat melalui uji BNT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis pupuk NPK 0,6 g per tanaman merupakan dosis paling efisien untuk diberikan terhadap persemaian bibit cabai keriting, pemberian pupuk daun tidak efisien jika diberikan pada persemaian bibit cabai keriting, terdapat interaksi antara dosis NPK dan aplikasi plant catalyst pada diameter batang pada dosis pupuk NPK 0,6 g per tanaman dengan tanpa aplikasi plant catalystdan bobot basah bibit cabai keriting pada dosis pupuk NPK 0,6 g per tanaman dengan aplikasi plant catalyst 1 kali per minggu. Kelompok bibit dengan ukuran besar sebagai bahan tanam menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang paling baik.

Abstract

Yogyakarta is a tourist destination for both local and foreign tourists. Business competition in Yogyakarta is getting tighter as investors and stakeholders increasingly glance at this Student City as a place to invest and gain profit from the existing market segmentation. The increasingly brisk, crowded and tight business in Yogyakarta is Hospitality business. Currently, consumers have a large selection of hotels in Yogyakarta ranging from Star Hotel to Budget Hotel. The increasingly intense of business competition makes Star Hotels vying to improve facilities, services and more effective promotional strategy. E-commerce is an option to improve promotional strategies to reach a wider market. Not only does it focus on massive consumers, establish and maintain good relationships with Stakeholders and investors, keep and maintain stakeholder expectations, but also it gives Star Hotels achievement for the sustainability of their business. Therefore Star Hotels must have a stakeholder communication strategy model for managing stakeholder relationships and stakeholder expectation.

Abstract

This research explores the use of debate activities which are implemented in an Indonesian high school. The aim of this research was to find out students’ perception on the use of debate activities in improving students’ speaking skills. The participants of this research were eight students participating in a debate extracurricular club in a public school. It was a descriptive-qualitative research. The data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews. There were three observations in the debate activities. After that, the researchers distributed the questionnaires to the students. Interviews were conducted with eight students. The research result showed that debate activities enriched students’ vocabulary, improved students’ confidence, and helped students to become better public speakers.DOI : doi.org/10.24071/llt.2018.Suppl2102

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas iklan sepatu SAINT BARKLEY melalui media sosial yakniinstagram dengan menggunakan teknik model EPIC. Empat dimensi EPIC yakni Dimensi Empathy, Persuasion, Impactdan Communication. Jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 100orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis tabulasi sederhana, skor rataan dan perhitungan EPIC rate.Keempat dimensi EPIC Model diantaranya, empathy (3.20), persuation (3.13), impact (3.06), dan communication (3.14)berada pada garis skala efektif. Dalam gambar tersebut juga dijelaskan bahwa nilai efektivitas yang paling lemah adalahdimensi impact dengan nilai 3.06 ini berarti perusahaan harus lebih meningkatkan metode untuk lebih menonjolkankelebihan yang dimiliki sepatu SAINT BARKLEY dibandingkan merek lain pada kategori
