FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KUALITAS KARET PERKEBUNAN RAKYAT (Kasus Perkebunan Rakyat di Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Tengah Kabupaten Tulang Bawang, Lampung)

Abstract

This research  compared rubber quality between smallholder rubber farmers in rubber development program village and non-program village. The objectives of the research were to identify cause of low-quality rubber, identify farmer’s efforts to increase rubber quality, to describe and to test relationship between  socioeconomic characteristics of the farmers, technical factors, and rubber quality among them, and to analyze farmer benefit after use of rubber quality technology. Data for the research were generated from 64 respondents randomly from three villages. Descriptive statistics, qualitative analysis, binary logistic regression model, and partial budgets analysis were used in analysing the data. The result of analysis showed that farmers in program village produced lower grade rubber (average 6.13) than farmers in non-program village (average 6.98). The identification result suggest that the causes of low-quality rubber were the use of coagulant other than formic acid, use of additive coagulant and existence of contaminants in coagulump. The empirical result revealed that majority of farmers did efforts to increase rubber quality such as cleaning of collecting pans periodic, keeping of coagulump from contaminants, but just minority of farmer used trained tappers, cleaning of collecting cups before tapping, dissociating types of coagulump and there were no farmers using of formic acid as coagulant. The qualitative analysis and binary logistic regression model indicated relationship between education, family size, membership of farmer institution, participation in social activities and rubber quality at 20% probability level. The partial budgets analysis proved that use of formic acid as coagulant was profitable in program village and non-program village.

Abstract

Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang memiliki potensi untuk menjadi sentra pertanian kebun buah dan sayur organik salah satunya melalui kegiatan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Namun selama ini, kegiatan yang ada di KWT dan hasil pertanian belum optimal. Hal ini dikarenakan belum efektifnya penataan tanaman di kebun pekarangan rumah, masih ada lahan kebun yang kosong belum dimanfaatkan, belum ada pembukuan kegiatan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian, masih rendah difersifikasi hasil pertanian menjadi produk bernilai jual tinggi, dan minimnya pengetahuan dan sarana pembuatan pupuk kompos dari limbah organik di lingkungan sekitar sebagai upaya meminimalisir pengeluaran untuk kebutuhan pupuk. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, iptek bagi masyarakat (IbM) melalui program pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan cara pemberian pengetahuan dan keterampilan di bidang optimalisasi lahan, pembukuan dan manajemen hasil pertanian, difersifikasi jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, dan pembuatan pupuk kompos. Luaran yang dihasilkan adalah peningkatan keterampilan anggota KWT dalam optimalisasi lahan untuk pertanian organik, terampil dalam mengolah jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, membuat pupuk organik, serta kompeten dalam pembukuan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian.

Abstract

Hasil observasi di MTs NU Ungaran menunjukkan bahwa masih rendahnya hasil belajar dan tingkat kemampuan berpikir logis siswa, terutama pada tema penglihatan. Selain itu juga belum adanya alat peraga yang dapat menjelaskan materi penglihatan, sehingga menyebabkan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi atau konsep IPA tersebut, oleh karena itu perlu adanya pengembangan media pembelajaran, dalam hal ini adalah alat peraga yang dapat menunjang proses pembelajaran yang juga dapat menjelaskan materi atau konsep IPA yang bersifat abstrak. Selain penggunaan alat peraga perlu adanya penerapan metode pembelajaran, dalam hal ini penerapan alat peraga berbasis guided inquiry yang dapat menunjang peningkatan hasil belajar dan berpikir logis siswa. Desain yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian dilakukan melalui tahap pengkajian masalah dan pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi, revisi, dan tahap uji coba. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII. Hasil penilaian pakar terhadap alat peraga yang dikembangkan 92,7%, penilaian alat peraga berdasarkan tanggapan guru memperoleh persentase sebesar 82,9% dan rata-rata hasil pretest 42,34 dan rata-rata posttest 78,12 . Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat peraga yang dikembangkan layak dijadikan media pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir logis siswa. The observations result from MTs NU Unggaran indicate that the achievement learning  and student logical thinking was low, especially on eyesight mecanism theme. There is no teaching aids that can explain the eyesight material, that makes students difficulty to understanding the science of matter or concept. Therefore, need for to development of instructional media, in this case especially for teaching aids that can support the learning process can also explain the science material or abstract concepts. Besides using the teaching aid,  there is need for the applicate of learning methods. In this case is the aplication of teaching aid that based of guided inquiry that can support the improvement of achievement learning and students logical thinking. Design applied in this study is the research and development (Research and Development). The study was conducted through the stages of assessment and data collection issues, product design, validation, revision, and test phase. Subjects were students of class VIII. The result of practicability test eyesight teaching aid from science teacher questionnaire obtained percentage of 82.9%. the pretest average score is 42,34 and the posttest average score is 78,12. It can be concluded that the teaching aid were developed has worthy to increas the learning achievement and logical thinking of student .

THE ANALYSIS OF COSTA AND KALLICKS HABITS OF MIND ON THE STUDENTS OF PROSPECTIVE BIOLOGY TEACHERS

Abstract

Habits of mind were most important to be had by the science education the students. The prospective science teachers were required to have the skills of self-regulation, creative thinking and critical thinking. Those three skills were the categories of habits of mind. This study reviewed on how the habits of mind of the students of prospective Biology teachers were, in which category the students habits of mind were, how the differences of the habits of mind of the male and female the students were, and whether there was any relation between the students grade points and their habits of mind. The analysis result obtained that 79.7% the students included in the adequate category of habits of mind (N=133). From 16 categories of the habits of mind, the responding with wonderment and awe category had the biggest average score that was 5.69 which meant that most of Science education the students had high enough curiosity in the mystery of the nature. There was no difference of the habits of mind had by the male and female the students, and there was no correlation between the habits of mind and the students grade points.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan alat peraga gerak parabola terhadap pemahaman konsep gerak parabola, penelitian dilakukan secara kuasi eksperiment pada kelas  XI, di hasilkan kesimpulan bahwa  penggunaan alat peraga mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI pada pokok bahasan gerak parabola. Hal ini didukung oleh peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang ditinjau dari akumulasi nilai seluruh kelas dan dari tiap indikator pemahaman konsep. Ditinjau dari ketujuh indikator pemahaman konsep, pada kelas eksperimen terdapat lima indikator yang mengalami peningkatan dalam kategori tinggi, yakni indikator menginterpretasi, mencontohkan, mengklasifikasi, menduga dan menjelaskan. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep ini sangat besar kemungkinanya karena dipengaruhi penggunaan alat peraga sederhana sebagai media pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen.

Abstract

Hasil survei American Institute of Physics (Heuvelen, 2002) menunjukkan tiga kompetensi yang paling sering digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yaitu kompetensi memecahakan masalah, bekerjasama dalam tim, dan berkomunikasi, yang kemudian dalam penelitian ini disebut trisula kompetensi. Untuk mengembangkan trisula kompetensi melalui jalur pendidikan, terlebih dahulu perlu diidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, terutama dalam konteks pembelajaran sains. Variabel kemampuan berpikir, pemahaman konsep, dan trisula kompetensi telah diungkap dengan sampel mahasiswa calon guru bidang sains. Hasil analisis data dari ketiga variabel tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara kemampuan berpikir dan trisula kompetensi, demikian juga pemahaman konsep dan trisula kompetensi, walaupun korelasinya lebih rendah. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (pada α=0,01) antara trisula kompetensi pada kelompok mahasiswa yang tingkat berpikirnya empirical inductive dan transisi, sedangkan antara yang kemampuan berpikirnya hypothetical inductive dan transisi serta antara hypothetical inductive dan empirical inductive tidak berbeda secara sigifikan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the effect of a variable quality of service with tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy on the high and low customer satisfaction at Syariah Mandiri Bank, Salatiga. The study used a sample of 150 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Islam IAIN Salatiga. Multiple regression analysis was used to test hypotheses of the study after the classic assumption test and test validity and reliability. The results showed that the variable of reliability, responsiveness, and empathy effect on the high and low customer satisfaction Syariah Mandiri Bank with the branch in Salatiga. Furthermore, the quality of service with these five indicators affect the high and low customer satisfaction Syariah Mandiri Bank, Salatiga together.

Abstract

Information technology is rapidly developed in this century that impact to various aspects of the organization really need information technology to support the performance and everyday business processes. In health services, information technology is required to process and storage the patient medical records, so that the patient's medical record is well preserved, and competitive advantage can be obtained between patient and polyclinic. The application of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) approach can be developed by implementing information system of medical record history to get new patient and retain existing patient, improving relationship with patient and maintaining patient loyalty as well as supporting the company/organization to provide excellent service to customers in real time through the advantage of information technology. The aims of this research are to understand patient medical record by CRM approach and Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system design, system validation using Forum Group Discussion (FGD), and using software testing Model ISO 9126. The result of this research are Medical Record History Information System and the result of system validation with FGD is 100% accepted, the result of system test using Model ISO 9126 is good with success rate 82,86%, so it can give contribution to polyclinic.

Abstract

Dalam rangka pembinaan untuk menjadi guru yang profesional, diperlukan Pengembangan Keprofesionalan Berkelanjutan (PKB). Pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan merupakan salah satu dari unsur utama yang kegiatannya dapat diberikan angka kredit. Sementara masih sering dialami kendala yang terjadi disaat guru membuat proposal maupun laporan penelitian dalam pembuatan latar belakang, landasan teori, teknik pengumpulan data, analisis data bahkan dalam kaidah dan lain-lain, seperti halnya yang dialami oleh guru-guru anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) IPA Kabupaten Batang. Guru-guru masih mengalami kendala membuat rancangan maupun pelaksanaan PTK karena keterbatasan kemampuan guru maupun pembimbing yang berasal dari Guru Pemandu. Kegiatan di MGMP IPA SMP Kabupaten Batang, sebagai wadah pengembangan kompetensi guru, khususnya dalam pembuatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) masih belum maksimal. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru IPA dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, melaporkan, serta mempublikasikan hasil PTK pada jurnal ilmiah. Strategi yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan PTK bagi guru-guru anggota MGMP IPA Kabupaten Batang. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dilakukan melalui tahap analisis masalah, paparan materi, diskusi dan pada akhir sesi dilakukan pendampingan dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan mengevaluasi kegiatan PTK. Pada akhir kegiatan pengabdian guru sasaran telah menghasilkan proposal PTK dan telah memiliki wawasan pengetahuan cara mempublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah yang akan dituju.  

Preliminary Analysis of Assessment Instrument Design to Reveal Science Generic Skill and Chemistry Literacy

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design assessment instrument to evaluate science generic skill (SGS) achievement and chemistry literacy in ethnoscience-integrated chemistry learning. The steps of tool designing refers to Plomp models including 1) Investigation Phase (Prelimenary Investigation); 2) Designing Phase (Design);  3) Construction/Realization Phase (Realization/Construction) ; 4) Test, Evaluation and Revision Phase. (Test, Evaluation and Revision).  To test the validity of assessment instrument, it was used content validity by three experts as validators, while to test the practical, it was used questionnaire which were given to 22 college students of food ingredients chemistry that is integrated of ethno-science and two supporting lecturers. The result of content validity showed that assessment tool which was developed was valid stated by experts with the reliability coefficient was 0,72. Every lecturers and 21 students gave positive response, so it can be concluded that developed assessment instrument was practice to use.
