Abstract

Abstract: Drinking Of Kunyit Asam, Level Of Dysmenorrhoea. The aim of this research was to analysis the effect of drink kunyit asam to decrease dysmenorhea level at student in Islamic School Jatinom Klaten. This study was designed as quasi experimental (pre and post test design). Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rang-Test, with significance ά=0,05. Number of population were 45 student and sample research were 44 student. The result showed that dismenorrhoea level before taking kunyit asam of 44 respondent, 33 (75%) with mild pain and 11 (25%) with moderate pain. After drinking kunyit asam there is no pain anymore respondent number 17 (38,6%), a mild pain number 21(47,7%) and moderate pain are a number of 6 (13,6%). The result showed that significant effect between drinking kunyit asam to decrease level of dysmenorrhoea after respondent taking kunyit asam (p=0,000, p<0,05).Key word: Drinking Of Kunyit Asam, Level Of DysmenorrhoeaAbstrak: Minum Kunyit Asam, Tingkat Nyeri Dismenorea. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh minum kunyit asam terhadap penurunan tingkat nyeri dismenorea pada siswi Madrasah Tsanawwiyah Negri Jatinom KLaten. Jenis penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian quasi eksperimen (pre dan post test design). Uji yang digunakan dengan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank-Test dengan taraf signifikansi ά = 0.05. Jumlah sampel penelitian 44 responden yang mengalami dismenorea saat menstruasi. Tingkat nyeri dismenorea siswi sebelum minum kunyit asam dari 44 responden yaitu 33 (75%) dengan tingkat nyeri ringan dan 11 (25%) dengan tingkat nyeri sedang. Setelah minum kunyit asam ada responden yang tidak nyeri lagi sejumlah 17 (38,6%), nyeri ringan sejumlah 21 (47,7%) dan nyeri sedang sejumlah 6 (13,6%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan tingkat nyeri dismenorea setelah responden minum kunyit asam. Hasil uji statitistika diperoleh nilai p=0,000 (P<0,05) menunjukkan ada pengaruh minum kunyit asam dengan penurunan tingkat nyeri dismenorea pada siswi MTsN Jatinom Klaten.Kata Kunci: Minum Kunyit Asam, Tingkat Nyeri Dismenorea

Abstract

Abstract: Knowledge, PKK Plants, Drugs For Gout. The purpose of this study was to determine how the PKK knowledge about the use of herbs for uric acid in the village of Klaten Danguran South. This research is quantitative descriptive study, with cross sectional approach to the subject of this study is the PKK of 50 samples. Measuring tool used is a questionnaire. The results showed that the PKK knowledge about the use of herbs for uric acid in the village of Klaten Danguran South included in the category enough by 52%, both by 38%, and 10% less category. Abstract

ABSTRACT Curcuma  xanthorrhiza  that  contain  of  curcumin  and  essential  oil  make  the  taste  isn’t delicious. Syrup form can  cover the lack of the flavor. The study aimed to describe the results of the physical stability test and hedonic test  of Curcuma syrup. It  was an experimental research by analyzing  the  physical stability and hedonic quality of Curcuma syrup. Physical stability test was done  by  storing  the  syrup  at  a  temperature  of  400C  for  8  weeks,  analyzing  the  organoleptic, viscosity  and  acidity  (pH)  every  2  weeks.  55  of  4th semester  students,  Jamu  Department, Polytechnic of Surakarta, 2014/2015  act as a semi-trained panelists in a hedonic test. The results concluded that the viscosity of syrup which was originally ± 190 mP.as decreased in storage for 2 weeks  to ± 170 mP.as and  finally stabilized  to week 8th. The acidity degree   stable at pH 4. The   organoleptics were  no  change,    it  was  brownish  yellow,  a  distinctive  smell  of  curcuma,  citrus flavor    and  texture  rather  thick.  The  panelists’  assessment  against  the  syrup  was  70.91%  of panelists liked the scent, 78.18% of panelists liked the taste, 85.46% of panelists liked the  texture and 83.64% panelists liked  the color of syrup. Abstract

Abstract : Cholesterol Blood, Red Onion (Allium Cepa, L.), Hyperlipidemia. Changes in lifestyle, diet and advances in technology may lead to a decline in physical activity in the community, resulting in the occurrence of energy imbalance. Hyperlipidemia was a condition to an increase in cholesterol and or triglyceride serum upper limit of normal. Onion (Allium cepa, L) contains quercetin in high enough levels can reduce total cholesterol. This study used a sample of onion powder capsules that aims to determine the effect of onion (Allium cepa, L.) to decrease blood cholesterol levels in patients with hyperlipidemia. This research is a pre–experimental design, wherein the treatment group were given capsules of onion (Allium cepa, L.) using a randomized experimental design pretest-Post test Group Design. This study uses the Shapiro Wilk normality test with the sample amounted to 31 people. Based on the results of non-parametric Wilcoxon statistical test showed that cholesterol levels before taking capsules red onion ranged between 226 mg / dl and 370 mg / dl with an average of 281.7 mg / dl. While cholesterol levels after consuming capsules onion ranged between 129 mg / dl and 400 mg / dl with an average of 273.7 mg / dl. The value of p = 0.737 (α ˃ 0.05) means that there is not a statistically significant effect capsule onion powder to decrease cholesterol levels.

Abstract

Abstract: Hair Un-Balder, Waru Leaves-Java Tamarind, Mikroemulsion, Gel. Waru leaves proven as hair unbalder while Java Tamarind  as deterrents loss of hair. Gel and mikroemulsion  formula  to Waru leaves anda Java Tamarind extract can increase selling value.This research was a true  experimental research  by one shot case study design where research to be done on gel and mikroemulsion formula with combination of ethanol maceration extract  of Waru leaves  and Java Tamarind as active ingredient  and The Static Group Comparison for the hair growth activity test  using tanaka methods with  male rabbit as trial animal. The  best gel and mikroemulsion formula were  the formula that have  stability of the physical test. Hair growth activity test against gel and mikroemulsion each have p-value 0.006 and 0.000 with maximum activity in extract of waru leaves – Java Tamarind combination 2:1. T-test between gel and mikroemulsion preparation have p-value 0.901. The conclusion of this research where  the best formula of  gel was  formula that contain  quaternary CMC Na:Tween 80:Propilengliko = 7:15:15,  while the best formula of mikroemulsion  was containing tween 80:propilenglikol =37:15. Gel  and mikroemulsion  equally have the in vivo hair growth activity  in the concentration comparison of 2:1. There was no distinction  of the in vivo hair growth activity between gel and mikroemulsion

Abstract : Quality Evaluation, Ointments, Kaemferia Galanga, Curcuma Domestica, Curcuma Heynena. Indonesia is a country with very high biodiversity. In the high diversity of the stored potential nutritious plants that can be explored and exploited further. Community began to realize the use of chemicals to cope with life problems, especially health problems, in addition to expensive, can also result in less side effects both for humans. This study used a extract Curcuma domestica, Kaemferia galanga, and Curcuma heynena as active ingredients skin ointments. This study intends to determine the third quality evaluation ointment. This type of research was descriptive. Quality evaluation results showed nearly the same physical properties, except for the parameters of the spread, and viscosity. Abstract

Abstract: Antibacterial Activity, Skin ointment, Turmeric, Kaemferia galanga L, Curcuma heyneana. Indonesia is a country with a very high biodiversity. In the high diversity are stored potent plant potentials that can be extracted and utilized further. People are starting to realize the use of chemicals to solve life problems, especially health problems, in addition to expensive, can also cause adverse side effects for humans. Human life is always surrounded by microbes, either pathogenic or non-pathogenic. Many plants that have properties as antibacterial, such as turmeric, Kaemferia galanga L. and Curcuma heyneana. This research use turmeric, Kaemferia galanga L. And Curcuma heyneana extract, as active ingredient of skin ointment. This study aimed to know the extent to which the antibacterial activity of these three ointments against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This type of research was quasi experimental, with the design of Static Group Comparasion. Abstract

ABSTRAK Biji dan kulit petai mengandung flavonoid yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui potensi antioksidan ekstrak etil asetat pada biji dan kulit petai yang dinyatakan dengan Inhibitor  Consentration  50  (IC50).  Pengujian  aktivitas  antioksidan  menggunakan  metode  DPPH (1,1-Difenil-2-Pikrilhidrazil) secara spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 518 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etil asetat biji petai mempunyai potensi aktivitas antioksidan lemah dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 274,702 ppm sedangkan ekstrak etil asetat kulit petai aktivitas antioksidannya tidak aktif dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 685, 857 ppm. Aktivitas antioksidan pada biji petai disebabkan adanya antioksidan enzimatis sehingga tidak dapat terdeteksi dengan metode DPPH dan kandungan utamanya protein, karbohidrat, mineral,asam amino yang cukup tinggi. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etil asetat kulit petai menunjukkan tidak aktif, karena senyawa aktif yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan tidak larut dalam pelarut etil asetat. Aktivitas antioksidan yang tidak terdapat pada kulit petai disebabkan kandungan utamanya yaitu pati dan serat. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah ekstrak etil asetat biji petai memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, sedangkan ekstrak etil asetat kulit petai tidak memiliki aktivitas antioksidan.   Kata kunci: biji petai, kulit petai, antioksidan, DPPH, IC50     ABSTRACT Petai seeds and petai shell are contain flavonoids that act as antioxidants. The purpose of research is to know the potential of the ethyl acetate extract antioxidant in seeds and petaishell expressed by Inhibitor consentration 50 (IC50). Testing of antioxidant activity using DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 518 nm. The results showed the ethyl acetate extract petai seeds have potential antioxidant activity weak with IC50 value of 274.702 ppm while the ethyl acetate extract of petai shell antioxidant activity is not active with IC50 values of 685, 857 ppm. Antioxidant activity in seeds due to their antioxidant enzymatic petai so it can not be detected by DPPH and the main content of protein, carbohydrates, minerals, amino acids are quite high. The antioxidant activity of ethyl acetate extracts of petai shell showed inactive , because the active compounds that function as antioxidants are not soluble in ethyl acetate solvent. The antioxidant activity which is not present in petai shell due to the content of its main substance are starch and fiber. Conclusion of the study is the ethyl acetate extract petai beans have antioxidant activity, while the ethyl acetate extract of petai shell does not have antioxidant activity.   Keywords: petai seeds, petai shell, antioxidant, DPPH, IC50
