Abstract

Brittle deformation at Kaligarang fault zone result strain changes. That strain is microstructure.Microstructures can see closely petrography. That observation include grain form, microcrack can form atcontact point like Hertzian and diagonal intragranular microcracks. Grain forms over angular, straight, andconcoidal. Grain of crystal or lithic fragments floating at matrik or cements. Microcrack growth does not onlydepend on stress, but also on temperature and chemical environment, especially of the fluid in the crack.

Abstract

Kasongan adalah salah satu sentra industri keramik dan gerabah di Yogyakarta yang terletak di Desa Bangunjiwo, Kecamatan Kasihan, Kabupaten Bantul. Pada saat ini industri keramik dan gerabah Kasongan mengalami kesulitan bahan baku lempung dikarenakan cadangan lempung di Desa Bangunjiwo yang selama ini digunakan semakin berkurang jumlahnya. Berdasarkan studi pustaka diketahui bahwa di Godean terdapat cadangan lempung, sehingga perlu diteliti apakah bisa digunakan sebagai bahan baku dalam industri keramik dan gerabah. Metode yang digunakan untuk menguji karakteristik lempung tersebut adalah dengan analisis XRD, XRF, analisis tingkat kecerahan, analisis ukuran butir dan pengujian pembuatan gerabah dari lempung tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mineral lempung penyusun lempung Bangunjiwo adalah kaolinit dan haloisit, sedangkan di Godean terususun atas kaolinit, haloisit dan smektit. Dalam pengujian pembuatan gerabah dengan lempung dari kedua daerah tersebut menunjukkan perbedaan hasil, dimana lempung dari Godean menghasilkan gerabah yang tidak menyerupai ciri khas gerabah Kasongan yang berwarna merah terang. Dengan demikian lempung dari Godean tidak bisa digunakan sebagai pengganti bahan baku industri gerabah Kasongan. [Title: The Characteristic Comparison of Kasongan Clay and Godean Clay as Raw Material in Kasongan pottery Industry] Kasongan is the center of ceramics and pottery industry in Yogyakarta,located in Bangunjiwo village, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency. Nowadays, the ceramics and pottery industry is difficult to find the raw material because of the decrease of the Bangunjiwo clay deposit. Based on literature review, there are clay deposits found in Godean which can be observed their characteristics as basic commodity in the ceramics and pottery industry. The methods apllied in this research are XRD and XRF analysis,brightness analysis, grain size analysis and making pottery from those clays.The result of the research shows that the clay in Bangunjiwo consists of kaolinite and halloysite, while clay in Godean consists of kaolinite, halloysite and smectite. The pottery products made from those clays show different characteristics. The clay from Godean does not show bright red colour as the Kasongan clay. So the clay from Godean can not be used as the alternative raw material for the Kasongan pottery industry.

Abstract

Tectonic activities in Semarang have resulted fault formations. A proper identification on faults and subsidiary structures will provide understanding on the kinematic and dynamic of the Kaligarang Fault. The Kaligarang Fault Zone has been formed since the Tertiary time with stress system orientation of σ1 = 37°, N158°E, σ2 =,45°, N12°E, σ3 = 30°, N244°E indicating left lateral displacement. Afterwards during Plio-Plestocene, the Kaligarang Fault Zone was reactivated with right lateral displacement as indicated by stress system orientation of σ1 = 51°, N185°E, σ2 = 30°, N205°E, σ3 = 8°, N275°E. Beside that, the linements at surroundings of the Kaligarang Fault have NEE-SWW until NWW-SEE directions. Abstract

Global financial crisis which began in the US in the latter part of 2008 hit a lot of countries in both trade and finance. In trade aspect, the crisis spread widely; in Indonesia, the total export value in 2009 dropped to 14,3%. Therefore, the economy of China, tightly linked with Asian countries including Indonesia, which rapidly rose before the crisis but slowed after it should be monitored as this condition, could indirectly hold down Indonesia’s GDP. Applying RAS method to update Asian IO data, this research has attempted to describe the trade structure of Asian countries in 2010. Also, it implemented a simulation of the impact of US and China’s GDP decline and US exports on Indonesia’s GDP, both at aggregate and sector levels. The result of the mapping shows that Indonesia is getting more dependent on China. Generally, the link between Indonesia’s exported products and global production chain is weak. Indonesia’s export commodities which are mostly of intermediate goods have low contribution towards value added. Moreover, the result of the simulation shows that 1% decrease in China’s GDP has greater impact on Indonesia’s GDP (0,14%) than that of the US (0,05%) and EU (0,07%) though with similar point.  Keyword: Trade Interactions, Input Output Model JEL Classification : F16, R15

Abstract

This paper studies the effects of foreign capital flows toward the exchange rate of rupiah both in total and across types of capital investment. This paper also analyzes the thresholds of current account deficit which significantly affect the rate of Rupiah. The estimation shows the capital outflow affect the rate of Rupiah to depreciate and is larger than the appreciation pressure of capital inflow (except when invested in Certificate of Bank Indonesia, SBI). Furthermore, the rate of Rupiah is more sensitive on government bond (SUN) than stock or SBI. The yield of this government bond largely affects the probability of the capital reversal. Related to the current account, the estimation shows that after exceeds the threshold of USD980 million monthly deficit or about 2% of GDP, the exchange rate will depreciate by 12.7% (m-o-m) with the lag effect of 4 months.  Keywords: Capital flows, exchange rate, current account deficit, threshold. JEL Classification: F31, F32

Abstract

Abstract

The objective of this research is to prove the influence of work surroundings and leadership style toward work motivation and the implication toward employee work in Semarang STIMART-AMNI college. To do this research, it will be needed the theory related to the definition of human resources management, the definition of work surroundings, surroundings factors, the definition of work and work system. The location of this research is in Semarang STIMART-AMNI College. The method done to collect sample is sensus, which all population become sample because the population is less than 100. The sample of total is 65 people. Data analysis used is the experiment of validity, reliability, and bifilar regression, and also simple regression. The result oh the study can be concluded that variable used together in this research, those are work surroundings and leadership style, give the influence toward employee work motivation. Next, simple motivation variable simple can influence the work system of the employee in Semarang STIMART-AMNI College.

Abstract

Perbukitan Jiwo di Bayat, Klaten, merupakan suatu inlier dari batuan Pra-Tersier dan Tersier di sekitar endapan Kuarter. Perbukitan Jiwo tersebut mempunyai kondisi geologi yang kompleks. Salah satu batuan yang menyusun Kompleks Perbukitan Jiwo adalah batuan metamorf   berupa sekis dan filit. Batuan metamorf  tersebut  telah  mengalami  pelapukan  yang  intensif,  ditandai  dengan  hadirnya  soil  yang berwarna merah. Hasil pelapukan batuan metamorf tersebut berupa lempung yang telah dimanfaatkan oleh  penduduk sekitar sebagai bahan pembuatan gerabah.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini  adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis mineral lempung di Perbukitan Jiwo dan juga karakteristik fisik dan kimia dari mineral lempung tersebut untuk melihat potensi lempung untuk bidang industri. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan metode analisis XRD untuk mengetahui karakteristik mineralogi lempung, analisis XRF untuk mengetahui kandungan kimia lempung dan metode analisis fisik untuk mengetahui karakteristik fisik dan megaskopis lempung. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, jenis mineral lempung yang dijumpai adalah  kaolinit, smektit  dan  serisit.  Lempung tersebut dapat  dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pembuatan gerabah. Lempung tersebut tidak dapat digunakan dalam industri lain seperti farmasi, kosmetik dan kertas karena tidak memenuhi persyaratan kadar kimia

Abstract

Lava bantal di Desa Jarum, Kecamatan Bayat, Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa Tengah masuk dalam Formasi Kebo-Butak. Lava bantal di Desa Jarum dikategorikan ke dalam Anggota Nampurejo. Lava bantal tersebut terbentuk pada Kala Oligosen. Masalah penelitian pada daerah ini ialah belum adanya penelitian mengenai lingkungan tektonik pembentuk batuan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik lava bantal sehingga dapat diketahui genesa dari lava bantal tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasi lapangan berupa pemetaan geologi pada area seluas 2 km x 2 km, serta pengambilan sampel lava dan batuan di sekitar lava. Analisis petrografi bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan komposisi mineral penyusun lava bantal. Analisis XRF bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik geokimia magma yang membentuk lava. Lava yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian bersifat setempat-setempat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis petrografi yang dilakukan sampel lava tersusun atas mineral plagioklas (andesin), augit, kalsit, dan mineral opaq. Berdasarkan hasil analisis petrografi, lava tersebut berjenis andesit. Hasil analisis geokimia menunjukkan bahwa magma penyusun lava masuk dalam seri kalk-alkali dengan lingkungan tektonik zona subduksi.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa lava merupakan produk erupsi gunungapi bawah laut yang terbentuk akibat adanya subduksi kerak samudra terhadap kerak benua.
