Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the increasing of students mathematical communication skills by cooperative learning model of think talk write type. The population of this research was all science students of grade 10th of MAN 1 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2013/2014. The samples were selected by random sampling technique. This research design was pretest-posttest control group design. Based on data analysis, it concluded that the increasing of mathematical communication skills of students in cooperative learning model of TTW type was higher than conventional learning.              Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA MAN 1 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik random sampling.  Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design.  Berdasarkan analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci : komunikasi matematis, konvensional, think talk write
